Came in with my besties on Friday to get their signature facial at 4pm. Liz analyzed my face and recommended I get the vinyl treatment instead since I needed more moisturizing. I appreciated her transparency that it would cost $30 extra as well as the recommended collegen treatment. The 50 min treatment was wonderful and relaxing. She started with a cleansing scrub and cucumbers on my eyes to the main treatment and ended with a neck massage. The bed was very comfortable - heated and elevated the knees. I wished they had later times available so I can just roll into bed! Afterwards, Laura greeted us and offered champagne, tea or coffee, water and chocolates as we sat on chair putting our feet on exfoliating mineral rocks and soaking it in warm water. I just wish the chair was shorter so that I can actually lean back but for my tall friends, that was not an issue. Loved how friendly Laura was! When you pay for your treatments, the products used are by the counter and I appreciated there was no pressure to buy. Overall a wonderful experience! read more

For the amount that they charge for the day there was no slippers or robe given so we could enjoy the pool there is no jets in the hot pool lunch service left a lot to be desired . My therapist picked me up late at one point she took her hands off of me and I did not know where she was no hot towels . In the hospitality girls had no personality they actually told one of the other ladies that she could not have a piece of candy their reply was for the amount of money we spent here today. My friend and I decided to visit a couple of weeks ago as a day trip. I splurged on the green tea and ginger facial (with Liz M) and it was fantastic! The vibe of the spa was so relaxing and once in the facial suite, Liz was AWESOME. She and I chatted about my skin and routine and we both agreed that the green tea facial was best for me. Liz was so sweet and gentle and I was definitely relaxed. Once done my face looked bright and renewed. (And the table was so comfy too!) Afterward I was treated to a foot soak, champagne, and chocolates which was truly decadent. 10/10 would definitely return. read more

Pool area and hot tub was very nice. The only shower in that area was not working and from what we heard had not been working for a while. Most of the lockers were broken. Not great for a pricey resort. The actual spa area very clean and nice. I wish they would have let us know before the spa that there were showers and lockers back there where we could have left our belongings being that were coming back for treatments. My mom, my sister and I used to come to this spa very often. Last week we went for their "staycation" special because we hadn't been there in about 4-5 years. Boy oh boy have they fallen off. Their indoor pool area was filthy. The saunas (wet and dry) in that area were also disgusting. The hot tub near that area had garbage all along the sides (broken finger nails, cups, a used zyn pod). It was disgusting. We also had to keep our belongings at the lockers at the indoor pool area. When it was time for our services we had none of our things because communication wasn't great either. I had a facial service. It was okay. I told the woman that I was getting married in 6 weeks so I didn't want anything crazy that would make me break out... well, I did. I don't have super sensitive skin either. I've gotten better facials at hand and stone. My mother said her massage was "just okay but no complaints" My sisters massage was different. She said she got a very small woman for a "deep tissue" massage that was not deep tissue at all. She basically rubbed her back. But the kicker is at one point the masseuse RUBBED HER FEET, DID NOT WASH HER HANDS, AND THEN TOUCHED MY SISTERS FACE! Absolutely unacceptable. The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because for our lunch we went to the crystal tavern. The food and service was excellent and I would only ever go back to that specific area of the resort ever again. read more

I didn't realize how bad I needed a detox massage till had one! Jolania was my technician. She was absolutely phenomenal. Pulling up to the Crystal Springs Resort property for my first visit, I was very impressed with the surroundings. I love the woodsy lodge look of the buildings and the view of the mountains. The grounds were lush and well maintained. All of the staff we encountered throughout our time there were professional and very eager to help (especially when we looked like we were lost and wandering aimlessly). My friend and I took off of work and came on a Monday a few weeks ago. We purchased the "Reflections Pool and Spa Daycation" package that is available on the website and planned our day weeks in advance. Our plan was to arrive when the spa & pool opened at 11am (which we did), begin to unwind and enjoy the biosphere pool prior to our spa services, which were schedule for 1pm. Then after we were sufficiently relaxed and hungry, head over to the restaurant for a relaxing lunch before heading home. None of that happened and here's why: Upon arriving, we were informed that the pool was closed for maintenance that day. Both of us were completely unaware and the notes in the system indicated that someone tried to call but didn't leave a message because voicemail wasn't available. We both have fully functioning voicemail. They confirmed that no other attempt was made (either via phone or email) to inform us of the closure prior to arrival. Without going into full detail, the spa staff was eventually sympathetic to our situation only after impassioned pleas and explanation. They seemingly reluctantly made some minor concessions and said they did the best that they could to compensate us for making the drive and not being able to take full advantage of the package we purchased. We live 1.5hrs away so simply returning another day and taking another day of vacation is more than an inconvenience. A good portion of our pre-massage time was taken up with our conversations with the spa staff yet we still had time to kill but no facilities to easily take advantage of. So we hurried over to the Crystal Tavern for a hurried lunch before our massage so we could use our dining credits that were included with our package. The service was great at the restaurant and so was the food. The bacon on my BLT was some of the best I've ever had and the tater tots were out of this world. The views through the large windows out onto the mountains were great too. After lunch, we rushed back to the spa for our massages. The spa itself is in need of a serious makeover. The finishes are dated and I'm not a fan of the blood red and black theme. I'm sure there's a reason for it (perhaps related to red being the color associated with your root chakra) but it's not the typical calming colors associated with a relaxing and zen atmosphere. Luckily, our massage therapists were both FANTASTIC and so the entire day was not a complete bust. A follow up phone call or email would have saved everyone involved a lot of time and headache. Also, immediately attempting to proactively rectify our situation without requiring the customer to plead their case would go a long way in ensuring repeat business. They just don't have the highest level of service here and maybe that's ok for them. Not sure I'll attempt to come back and not sure I'll recommend it to friends. There are plenty of other options closer (or even farther) to home. read more

Great Service and Massage! Elizabeth was wonderful. Deep tissue massage and she was very conscientious about my areas of concern and the amount of pressure being used. Very therapeutic. She was able to work out lots of knots on my back! Excellent quality of massage service. Place is immaculate and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone had big smiles. Liked the warm foot soak, champagne and chocolates after the service. A nice touch. Only down side was the steam shower was out of service on the day I went :-(. Biosphere pool complex is fantastic. Nice indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy. Outdoor heated tub...but without jets. Just a lovely warm soak. Nice to have the Taqueria food/snack bar to get food and adult beverages. You can also order from the Crystal Tavern and have food delivered for a delivery charge. I had a fantastic experience here and can't wait to go back. I went during the week with a Daycation purchase (Good Mon-Thus....Sept 5-May 23), a Tuesday, and they weren't busy. Your experience might be different on weekends or certainly if there is a wedding going on. read more

My wife and I returned from our honeymoon at Grand Cascades Lodge a few weeks ago, and the highlight of the entire trip was the Reflections spa. We each had multiple treatments per day over several days, and we just couldn't get enough! The body scrubs and detoxifying sensory body ritual are not to be missed--both of us thoroughly enjoyed them. But my favorite was the 100-minute hot stone massage; never in my life have I felt so good. It was lengthy and luxurious, and I didn't want it to end. The best part was my technician Kacie; I could tell immediately that she had a great personality, and her calm voice served to enhance the relaxing experience. She was an absolute master of her craft; she was able to target the stress I've been carrying in my neck for many months. The massage was so good that I felt like I had been gifted a brand new body, and since that hot stone massage I have consistently been sleeping more peacefully at night--what more could one ask for? Hands down the best massage of my life. Thanks a million, Kacie! Also a big shout-out to Lori who was working as a receptionist at the spa; she was friendly and welcoming each time we came back, and she in particular really helped us feel comfortable there. This proves this "spa" is unbelievably incompetent- and condescending-but they like to blame their customers for their inadequacies. Do not waste your time or money in this place.
