I called to make an appointment, and right from the beginning, I was impressed with how friendly and professional they were. They were flexible and were willing to accommodate my schedule. Carl, the owner and primary mechanic was pleasant and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions without making me feel like he was rushed. I appreciate that. He even pointed out a couple of items that needed attention at my next visit, but I never felt he was trying to pad the bill and do unneeded repairs. Yesterday, Carl installed new tires and changed the brake fluid. Again, everything was done professionally, ahead of time, and as promised. Unlike the dealership, Carl did NOT scratch my rims - Thanks, Carl!!! And thanks, also to Fran in the front office who handles calls and makes appointments; she is a definite asset to the business. I was nervous coming in for a tire change after the nightmarish reviews I had read about this…read moreplace, but gotta say I was pleased enough. It was a little inconvenient that they didn't do appointments and they needed a full day to get a tire change done, but that's mostly a limitation of their number of people working the service department, as I understand, so I don't hold it to them. They were transparent throughout the process and provided some guidance on other issues I've been having with the bike, even if they couldn't work on it because of it's age. Pricing is what it will be. Most shops charge between $90 to $110 an hour in my experience. They land somewhere in there as well. But they do it well, and I'm lead to believe that they would have charged less if I had taken the wheels off myself ahead of time (I brought the whole bike in). All in all, I had a pretty good experience here. Again, just got my tires changed, so I can't speak to anything much beyond that though. I should also note that I bought my own tires through a separate company, not through Free Ride. Some places will say they can't mount tires they haven't purchased for insurance reasons, not the case here. Cheers.

This year, for whatever reason (more on that in a moment), the service has fallen off the cliff. TWICE this year, I have made appointments for dropping off the bike, called the day before to confirm, and on the day I was to drop off the bike, there was a problem. So twice this year, it has been a total waste of time and money taking bike down there only to be turned away. The technician there seems to be really good, and knows his stuff. I really don't have any complaints with any of the actual WORK that has been done. The problem is in the front of the house, namely with the owner and the person he has answering his phone (which is his son, I believe). There seems to be no communication, and what's worse, there is no consideration given to customer service/addressing customer complaints. No sorry, no money off your bill, no bring your bike in next time and we'll make it right for you. Just blank stares. This place has gotten so bad, that I have chosen to go back to the dealerships. Dealerships are also known as "stealerships", and that's why I avoided them in the first place. But Zack's has gotten so bad, I have no choice but to go back.

Stay away from these people. 1st I receive a quote for changing handlebars and a time of 2 days. Ok…read moreI bring in my bike and start calling 2 days after. Still no parts the lady said. On 5th day I call to hear the same and I tell her don't touch my bike I will pick it up after work. She says she needs to check and see if its been started being worked on. Well Im right down the rd .. 5 min away I ride over and see my bike outside untouched. Ok at 4pm she calls saying oh yeah he's been working on it and my cables showed up. I leave work and stop over and see he pulled the cover off my fairing. 5 min work after being told don't touch it. So now my trip is planned and leaving Friday. Ok.. call 2 days later on Friday. He's on it, just yours to get it done. Ok. I call at 5 pm she says he's on it I don't like bugging him. Ok I get packed up and go over and see my bike the same way but just on a lift. Nothing but the fairing cover off. I try my best to hold my anger. So leave and call sat at 12pm. He's almost done she says. Call at 3pm no answer. Call at 4 no answer. Go up at 5 the dude in back is bitching saying Im rushing him. I ask when will it be done. Says he will call. Ok. Sat comes and around 5 pm And leave a message of well guess I paid for a room at blessing of the bikes in baldwin for nothing. 9pm they call saying my bikes done but ignition isn't because of no key but come get it.. I go up with my trailer. Takes me 20 min to arrive from drive time. I have 2 calls from them saying they wanna go home to hurry. I pull up in the back and see them with my bike. I help them install my ignition. Yeah. I had to do it.. then start my bike up and she comes standing in front of my bike holding the handlebars telling me I need to pay the bill of $1600. Yeah double the quote due to cables.. UNREAL!!!. Then the argument starts cause I can't even test ride my bike. My truck and trailer are there. So after listening to her bitching. Cussing. I figured I pay over going to jail she starts walking off I yell and say where's my receipt. She says she needs a pen and goes out the front door and left me without anything. Then 2 days go bye with rain and I take my bike for a ride. My new exhaust falls off. He didn't tighten or use lock tight on the bolts he removed to install my clutch cable. Then my clutch handle isn't working properly. Sticking everything I squeezed it closed. My front brakes are leaking. Its unreal.. I call and she answers and starts off with (YOUR THE POS FUCKER TALKING SHIT THE OTHER DAY. IM NOT DOING SHIT BUT CHARGING YOU TO REPAIR THE ISSUES. SAYING MY CABLE STRETCHED SO YOU WILL PAY. I TOLD HER WE'RE GOING TO COURT AND HUNG UP.. AND YES I HAVE ALL THIS RECORDED.. THEN THE GUY FROM THE BACK. HE CALLS TO START SAYING I DONE THIS AND THAT THOUSANDS OF TIMES. BULLSHIT TALKING OVER MY EVERY WORD. TO THEN SAY WHAT NOW YOUR MOTORS BLOWN??? WTF!!! NEVER SAID NOTHING OF THE SORT.. I TOLD HIM THE SAME..
