This happened SEVERAL times. I filed a dispute with the finance company and I was told I'd been denied. When I called LaserAway because I thought I should just keep trying to get an appointment booked, I was told I had no treatments left and that I'd been refunded! I have had truly nothing but great experiences with her and her office and would highly recommend her as a provider! I have been dealing with idiopathic urticaria (spontaneous hives) since 2009 and have seen many doctors and specialists who have never been able to find a solution. Then, a few years ago, I started having cold-induced hives as well, making it impossible for me to go out in the winter without breaking out in hives or even handle cold glasses and objects for too long. After no luck with increased antihistamine use, Dr. Kim prescribed me Xolair, which has been used experimentally for hives. It took a few weeks of her petitioning my insurance for use, but she got approval. Her and her team handled all of the back and forth and kept me updated throughout the process, and since I got on the medication, I have had no to minimal hive breakouts since. Then again this past year, when my employer-provided insurance changed, Dr. Kim and her team have continued to battle approvals for me and help me obtain samples while we sorting things out with insurance denials. Yvonne, a medical assistant on her team, has been extremely helpful and responsive, battling this for months now and keeping me informed and medicated in the meantime. Dr. Kim is the only person who has ever been able to help me with this condition, and her and her whole team have been nothing but professional, helpful and caring throughout my time as her patient.

I was supposed to have an appointment today but realized this morning that I hadn't gotten any confirmation from them, so I called to make sure I was still on the schedule before heading over. They told me "my" doctor, a person I had not met before, had left the practice and they would not have the capacity to reschedule me. They offered to give me the number of another clinic that they're offloading patients to. They claimed I should have received a letter and a text that my appointment was cancelled. I never got a letter, and when I went back and looked, the text I received did not actually indicate to me that the person leaving the practice was my doctor. It just said that a doctor was leaving the practice and IF you happened to have an upcoming appointment with that doctor, you should call to reschedule. Needless to say, the writing has been on the wall for awhile that this is not a clinic with a future for the kind of derms patient I am (maybe, as another review surmises, they are going 100% cosmetic which means less annoyance with insurance and more money per visit), and I guess I'm glad to have had them force me out as a patient so I can find a doctor who I will actually recognize from year to year. But man, what an unprofessional way to go about it with a pretty long term patient.

I had done a ton of reading on things it could be (I have a masters degree so I know how to do my research). I was told the clinic took my insurance (First Choice). I had my appointment and the MD spent maybe 15min at most with me, telling me things I already knew, only did a quick (15sec) look at my scalp, and said it's probably androgenic alopecia and offers a prescription to oral minoxidil and finasteride. Nothing special was done. I left the office and asked if there was anything I needed to pay and they said no. A month later I get a bill for $211! I call insurance and they tell me that since the MD billed under the diagnostic code for androgenic alopecia it wasn't a covered visit so instead of a $35 co pay I had to pay it all. They told me the billing code was for "moderate diagnostic methods at least 40min" which I do not agree was done. I feel this clinic should have communicated that such a common billing diagnosis wouldn't be covered by my common insurance. I understand that ultimately I should have checked with my insurance first, but I didn't know what diagnosis they would bill under. I will not be returning to this clinic.

The studio itself is clean, modern, and cozy, so it really feels like you can switch off for a bit while they take care of you. What really stands out, though, is the level of detail in their work. They specialize in Russian manicure and structured gel, and it shows in how precise, careful, and long-lasting the results are - your nails come out looking flawless and stay that way for weeks. Every cuticle is perfected, every edge is smooth, and they take their time to get the shape and finish exactly right. It's the perfect place to get your nails "tuned up" - whether you're maintaining a classic look or trying something more elevated, you walk out feeling polished and a little bit spoiled. I'd happily recommend Pixie Lab and specifically Veronika, who gave me home care tips and helped me treat a problem.

The appointment took around 2.5 hours, and I liked the final color and overall look of the nails. The salon itself is very clean and has a luxury/self-care vibe. As soon as I walked in, they offered me a complimentary fancy drink and a small treat, which was such a nice touch. They also have iPads available during the service, so I ended up watching Emily in Paris while getting my nails done. What impressed me the most was their cleanliness. After each customer, they thoroughly cleaned everything with Clorox wipes, including the desk, chairs, and surrounding area. As a first-time customer, they also gave me 10% off plus a cute little gift bag with cuticle oil, hand cream, and nail care instructions. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected a little more attention to detail for a professional service at this level. A couple of nails had small imperfections. For example, one thumb wasn't fully covered near the edges and part of it looked matte, almost like the top coat didn't fully seal the edge. One other nail also had a slightly uneven surface. They're small details, but noticeable up close. Overall though, I enjoyed the experience, loved the atmosphere, and would consider coming back again to try other technicians.

I went in for a laser treatment, got a chemical peel and had burning/stabbing pain on my face right after the peel. My cheeks became red and discolored for over a week, and I was scared because it was my face. I documented everything, including the fact that the consent form was signed after the treatment, not before. The provider did refund me and sent aquaphor after she was scared of a lawsuit. She refused to reimburse a derm appointment. My skin did improve but there is still pain and pigmentation. The way the business handled my concern afterward was awful. Instead of simply focusing on aftercare and making sure my skin was okay, the Director of Operations Jesse started questioning my "claims," my "intentions," and even called me a "Groupon shopper." That was rude, discriminatory, insulting, and completely unnecessary. I came in as a paying customer. Whether I used Groupon or not has nothing to do with how I should be treated when I report pain and a reaction on my face. If not for groupon, this place wouldn't be able to pay the rent which is why they advertise on Groupon in the first place. They withheld meds that they claim to have ordered in lieu of more photos everyday so they can "verify" their claims. Due to a confusion with the order number, they figured I bought another groupon from another spa way before going to Skintegrity. None of my other groupons had anything to do with the treatment I went in for nor it should matter to the business. This is invasion of privacy without cause. I was also told I was "obviously trying to build a case," which is ridiculous. I was trying to make sure my skin healed and that I had proper documentation because the reaction happened immediately after their treatment. A customer reporting burning, tenderness, and discoloration after a facial treatment should be treated with care, not attitude. The communication afterward made me feel dismissed, judged, and attacked. I would not trust this place with my skin again.

I have never had a doctor care as much about my health as she has and continues to do! As her business grew, I followed her. Her new office space is amazing. Walking in I am welcomed by Wendie at the front desk. Always with a smile! She is warm, educated and so helpful. I have experienced an absolutely incredible facial from their esthetician, which I got right before my sisters wedding. I have never enjoyed a facial like I did this one from start to finish. I have also had a few micro needling sessions as well as one viora session with (I kid you not) immediate results. The manager replied at the time, acknowledging the issue and saying they were "fine-tuning appointment durations" and making adjustments. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to try again this year. To be clear, the front desk staff and nurses have always been friendly and professional--no complaints there. During this most recent visit, they explained their internet was down, so I tried to be understanding. My appointment was at 11:50, but I wasn't called back until about 20 minutes later. After a brief conversation with the nurse, I changed into my gown and then waited another 15 minutes before the doctor (Andrea Jones) came in. She didn't apologize for the delay--just said, "Hi, thanks for your patience, welcome back." After waiting roughly 40 minutes past my appointment time, I expected a bit more acknowledgment, but I let it go. This was an annual skin exam. Dr. Jones asked about a mole on my cheek that had been bothering me last year, so I explained that I had it removed by another dermatologist a few months after my last appointment with her. I told her the area didn't completely smooth out after being shaved off, but that I wasn't eager to go through another cutting-and-healing process unless there was a less invasive option, like laser. She confirmed there wasn't, and said punching it out might be the best option. Somewhere in the conversation, things seemed to get lost in translation. I said I was tired of dealing with it, and she took that as me agreeing to another procedure. She then told me it would cost $750 since it was cosmetic. I was confused because I never said I wanted a procedure done. After we cleared that up, she responded: "Oh, then why are we even talking about this? We're just wasting our time talking about something you're not interested in treating." Like, I'm sorry--I'M wasting YOUR time?? Talk about RUDE. She had asked about my cheek, and I was simply answering her question. I never said I wasn't interested in improving it--only that I didn't want another surgical cut. That is not an appropriate way to speak to a patient. We continued with the skin exam. She mentioned my scalp looked irritated, so I explained the recent issues I'd had (acne flare-ups, scalp psoriasis, etc.). She listened, but showed no empathy for the stress or frustration I'd been dealing with. Her only response was, "Well, we can do a patch test," which felt more like another upsell than genuine care. Overall, she showed zero concern, and it felt like she was eager to end the appointment once she realized I wasn't planning to spend extra money on treatments or tests. Basically a 50 minute appointment for 5 minutes of the actual "Doctor's time". I gave this place a second chance after my poor experience last year, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, today's visit confirmed the opposite. I will absolutely not be returning. Not now, not ever.
