Follow me @theblackgirlatleisure for more lifestyle, beauty and experience reviews!…read more Trying a new salon is always a nerve wrecking experience. I've gone to salons with stylists that judged me on the state of my hair health and didn't do much educating at all. When I went to Ulta I had such a completely different experience from start to finish. Customer service: 10/10 When I called ahead to see if there was anyone who was educated on natural kinky coily hair, the stylist who answered (Samantha) was very patient and helpful. She walked me through the services and what she thought could be a good fit. When I got to the salon her great service continued. She had a very welcoming demeanor. Skillset: 10/10 I don't think I've ever had such a gentle hair appointment and on top of that still effective. Samantha is a master stylist at this location and that showed! I loved the way she detangled my hair at the bowl which cut down on detangling in the chair. She even worked the products into my hair so well, I've never felt my hair so soft EVER. She was very gentle with blow drying my hair and not having the dryer up too high. Education: 10/10 Samantha also walked me through a few products that could help with the dryness in my hair and stiffness that I have after blow drying my hair. She recommended a hair treatment and hair balm from sacred in addition to an Amika heat protectant (3 of which I will be buying!). She even recommended ways to retain length/avoid damage for my hair type. I would definitely recommend this location and Samantha! I can't wait to go back for my next trim. I added a before and after of my trim. I decided to not let go as much length as I should because I opted to continue coming back and doing it gradually.

She claimed that information was missing from my rewards account. Next, I noticed on the screen that she is attempting to apply for the credit card anyway. I reiterated that I said no and she asked if I want the 20%. Finally, I said no again and she rudely said to press cancel for the credit card. This behavior needs to stop and it's unprofessional. Ulta Beauty needs to do better and treat customers with respect and dignity.

This Dr visit is actually fun and very rewarding.... Much better than getting a lollipop when done ;) Update 9/6/17 I went back to the new Juvanni Med Spa... it is gorgeous!! So relaxing & beautiful, there are multiple rooms for procedures with names like Dream, Relax etc. Dr Din has thought of every detail when designing her new Spa. The beds are heated & with the soft music you can just about fall asleep during your procedure. Today I went for my brows to be done with microblading, Viviana did my procedure. OMG Gorgeous!! They are feathered exactly how I wanted them! I can not begin to tell you how thrilled I am!!! Dr Din and her staff are the only ones I trust... along with many of my friends that have chosen Juvanni over the many other spas around. Besides being an artist at what Dr Din does, it is reassuring to know you are in the hands of an M.D. I have gotten fillers, botox & other things too. This is my new favorite thing!! Brows!!
