Newly opened Sephora (Sept. actually), has almost everything you might find at a stand-alone location. Except, this Sephora space is compact. So instead of looking at an endless amount of high-end foundation brands with about 40+ range of skin tones (as they should) at the regular brick-and-mortar Sephora, you'll find a few here. I couldn't pass this baby up so purchased NARS and Fenty Beauty lip colors. I couldn't leave empty-handed. I mean...how could I? Service was nice- especially when the salesperson gave me a thorough product description of each. I like this new Sephora addition inside Kohl's. For me, it super convenient when I'm in this area.

I needed to re-pierce my ears having done them 40 years ago and having let the holes close up. I…read morehad no idea where to go so I googled ear piercing and Claire's came up. This location is not far from home, so I decided to check it out. I came in on Saturday around 4pm and there were several people ahead of me. Rather than wait, I decided to go have an early dinner at a restaurant in the mall and try my luck later when everyone else was probably going for dinner. So I came back at 5:45 and Sabrina was immediately available to help me. The store is rather cluttered (as are many Claire's stores) and doesn't appear particularly sanitary so I was a little concerned, but Sabrina showed me how everything was done (things were packaged, sealed and sterile) and I felt confident that there would be no problem Since I've got plenty of earrings at home (I inherited a large collection from my mother), I made a rather plain choice, the stainless steel 4mm balls on posts. The earrings, piercing and a large bottle of solution to be used 3X a day for the next six weeks cost, tax included, a bit under $27. There are other earrings should you prefer something real gold or more decorative at a range of different prices, nothing they offer would break the bank. The paperwork (there are health regulations and they need your signature for a number of different issues) took the bulk of the time. I hardly felt a pinch when the posts were inserted. It was quick, painless and considering the circumstances, a very pleasant experience. Sabrina was more than pleasant, clearly knew what she was doing and answered any questions I had. She measured carefully, making sure the holes were in the same place on both ears. After she did the piercing, she clearly explained what I needed to do (apply solution, turn, etc) and the paperwork explained everything else. I recommend this store should you want to have your ears pierced.

If you want a simple cut, Kathy isn't the one…read more I did a same day reservation today and when I got there Kathy, the Italian lady, was available. I showed her the photos and she did a wash, cut , and dry($45). We've talked about retail service and how sometimes she gets crazy customers, now I understand why. Don't get me wrong, I've been to this salon a few times, for dyes and cuts and it's been great, just what I've ask for but with different staff members that understand what I asked for. Kathy doesn't seem to understand... The cut when it was wet was bad but when it got to drying and styling, it was really bad... not what I asked for at all.. Wayy too shaggy and thin... literally nothing like the photos I've shown her. It's a literal mullet. When she was styling it, she saw how upset or unsatisfied I was with the cut. I told her my troubles, it was too short, not really what I wanted. She was getting frustrated at me, why? because the cut I wanted was nothing the way i asked. She said that I told her I wanted a pixie cut look? I never said that, We only talked about the time I wanted a pixie cut from a previous salon that didn't give me what I asked. Not sure why she would say that considering I showed her photos of shoulder length cut, nothing like a pixie cut... It was honestly super frustrating, I showed her the photos after and she kept insisting it was the same (it's not) and I told her the layers were longer in the back but she kept insisting it just shorter... when she showed me the back of my head... I was disappointed rightfully so. It was way too short, even she acknowledged it. Kathy said it will grow in two weeks and it should be fine. How is that fine? I just wanted a simple haircut and not worry about stuff like this. She says if I have any problems I can come back, which is fine but what can she fix? It's way too late for that, it's shaggy and very layered to be "fixed". I can't even style it or anything. This is a great salon but if you want a simple haircut, get anyone BUT KATHY

You wait almost 45 minutes for your stylist. Meanwhile, there is a time limit on the meter. Tick tock.
