I recommended this practice to my wife, who had been searching for a place to better understand her hair loss. Before this, I had been to the Yonkers Ave. location, which was a great experience. However, my wife left the appointment here utterly disappointed and discouraged. The moment she walked in, the medical assistants were engulfed in their conversation unrelated to work--alongside the PA while she waited to be attended to. They continued with no assurance or professionalism toward the workplace environment. Being an RN, my wife was appalled at the lack of professionalism from the medical assistants while the PA seemingly engaged alongside them despite how it might impact the experience of someone going there for the first time. When it was time for her to be seen, the PA did not conduct a thorough examination but stood from afar and told her she had traction alopecia without properly examining or taking the time to parse out potential causes. Once the appointment was over, the PA and medical assistant walked out and reinitiated their conversation while leaving my wife in the room without further instructions on where to go. This practice lacks proper decorum and is exceptionally unprofessional, with poor bedside manners from its providers. Suffice it to say we will never return to this location again. read more

What can I possibly say about the Yonkers location of Schweiger Dermatology Group that isn't already shown through the convenience of location (central to anywhere you can come from in either the Bronx or Westchester), plenty of on-site parking, an elevator building (suitable for the needs of anyone), and the welcoming front desk staff at the neatly kept waiting area? Get the picture? The medical secretaries at this location are always ready for check-ins and helpful with any questions or concerns. I suffer with health conditions that require the attention of a demonologist on a routine basis. I have been treated at this location for skin conditions by Megan Li, PA-C that were addressed in a way I found thorough and knowledgeable. I have had medical procedures done that have left me with the most minimal of evidence thanks to Gregory Polar, D.O.'s skillful hand. I've been to many dermatologist offices since first being diagnosed back in 2010, but none have been as equipped with such wonderful staff and availability of treatment by knowledgeable providers as what I found here at Schweiger Dermatology Group of Yonkers. Let's get to why I JUST HAD TO WRITE A REVIEW. I decided a long time ago that when the time comes in my 30s and I see the first sign of wrinkles, I would get Botox. Lucky for me, my demonology office also has this available... I booked an appointment with Christopher Palines, PA-C, and at my consultation I knew I made the right choice. Christopher did an excellent job, and I am more than satisfied with my results. Big shout-out to Christopher for a job more than well done. The provider educated me on what to expect and helped me to better understand what to expect and hope for from this type of procedure. The procedure itselfwas painless; all I felt was a little pinch. I visited this business three times: once for a consultation and twice for a treatment. I was informed that my treatment would total $199. I paid $240 upfront for these visits. I have the credit card statement with this charge as well. My payment was split over two days: 12/7 and 12/14. My visits were covered under insurance. I had 3 appointments. My insurance was billed. After my insurance was processed my portion of the visits totaled $199.03. Therefore, I was overcharged and overbilled. I am reporting this business for insurance fraud and price gauging. The General Manager called me today, despite the fact that I have the invoice they sent me this week (May 5th, for my December visit). Despite the fact that my total bill after insurance should be $199.03, and I already paid $240.00, instead of being credited for being overbilled the General Manager, Nicole Duchatellier called me today and informed me that I still need to pay $99. This is insurance fraud and price gauging. read more

This is the first time ever I have written a negative review but feel I need to share my bad experience. I went to Schweiger for my daughters Acne and was seen by the PA who was pleasant and helpful. She prescribed oral medication and unfortunately after 3 weeks my daughter developed horrible side affects. I tried to call and contact Schweiger but it was nearly impossible to get a hold of a human let alone the PA that assisted us. I just had my daughter stop the meds. I then had a follow up appointment which (Schweiger) proceeded to cancel. Then I rebooked a new appointment via zoc doc and showed up with my daughter who is on crutches because of a recent knee surgery and has the worst outbreak of a skin rash and more acne and was told by the front desk that they did not have the appointment. I showed them all the text confirmations but they still refused. The front desk person was unpleasant, dismissive and very insincere and had a little empathy for my daughter standing there on crunches and simply said we can see you in a week from now ??!!! Seriously??! My husband, myself and my daughter are all patients of Schweiger but after our experience today none of us will be returning. read more

This is my story...this company gave me a job this past fall which I was so happy and grateful for being a single mom of a very young child with not alot of help. I waited s few weeks but I was so proud to be employed by schweiger dermatology, I put it on my Facebook..alittle time passes and I've become so happy that I can now financially support my daughter and myself and that I'm overcoming mental challenges that I didn't think I'd be able to do because the job is not naturally easy or easy to learn..this December comes...not that long ago actually, I was at work on a regular day, or so I thought, when I get called into the office by my manager. She sits me down infront of her desk top computer when someone popped up on the screen through a virtual call...within a blink of an eye I was being accused of being racist and making a "racial slur" on Facebook and that I was talking bad about native Americans as well.. it took me a minute to even understand wtf was happening when it hit me..I said omg I know what you are saying. Back, right after the election passed...I was on Facebook, not on my personsl pag and not even on someone page that I know. There was a random political discussion being had when I saw a comment made about the president..I started reading and to my regret, I chimed in..had alittle bit of a heated exchange with someone FROM TENNESSEE...we were in a discussion about border control and I said " the ppl crossing the borders illegally lately, are savages" when I used the word savage, it was meant to describe the behavior of the illegal migrants. There has been alot of violence and riots that had happened not too far away from where I live..I also talked about other things...but what i didn't do was say anything untrue and that were not current events at the time along with my opinion which I'm absolutely entitled to. I never threatened anyone, never even used foul language..the girlfriend from Tennessee didn't like what i said i guess and threatened me by saying "I don't think your job would appreciate their employee using racial slurs" i was like i never did...so she said the word savage was used to demean ppl of color or some bull**** i was like "absolutely not!" Savage is indicative of these ppls behavior...this person actually took time out of their day to see where I worked and to call SCHWEIGER DERMATOLOGY and complain about me which all leads me back to the person on the computer telling me that we had to "part ways" the human resources person was actually agreeing with this crap...they basically redefined the English language and fired me.. please, anyone look up the definition of savage.It has absolutely nothing to do with race... This employer actually took the side of this stranger and fired a single mom right before Christmas over what??? I still don't know this company never even gave me the courtesy of five minutes to try and explain things. This absolutely went deeper than what they were trying to accuse me of. It was to make a clear statement about who they politically supported..if anyone knows me they know I'm the FURTHEST thing from racist and prejuidice! I'm white with red hair, my stepfather is a dark skinned puerto rican man, my mom is all Italian and my daughter is a huge mix..never in life was i ever accused of such things. I always treated everybody with respect and kindness while at work.. I never spoke about politics at work, because we actually were not allowed to...ironic right?? Lol so now, I have not been able to buy more presents for my daughter or for anyone ask because this random person from Tennessee didn't like what I said and actually called my job and the worst, my job sides with her and just fires me without caring. Ppl, I say this to say that this is the world today...the climate is hot and fu**** up! Apparently, we no longer have the freedom of speech and freedom to express it freely...it was my mistake for ever being proud of where I worked and posting it...ALYSSA WRIGHT from Tennessee, you know what you did was beyond foul!! Recieved a text in the morning confirming my 12 pm appointment. Showed up at 11:45 to check in and the front desk told me my provider called in sick and was not there today. told me next available appointment was at 12:40 pm. I am here on my lunch break I can't wait another hour. Super unprofessional that they did not call and allowed me to show up even though my provider was not there, should have not sent me a confirmation text and should have told me not to come in today. My 5 star is going to my Dermatologist. Mitzy Placecia. Amazing, professional and experienced. Her bedside manners are what any anxious patient would benefit from. The waiting are is very welllit, clean and spacious. The front desk staff is courteous but I'd advise to keep their volume lower only because no1 needs to listen in on other ppls private conversation or information All in all h3igly recommend to anyone. I thought the care was good. However, I asked if this was fully covered by my insurance and was told by the practitioner, absolutely yes. I now have a bill of $407. I went to Schweiger Dermatoloy because of an pimple that just would not go away. After reading positive reviews on Zocdoc I decided to give them a try, I was not disappointed. From my initial encounter to the end of my second visit, the services that I received and the level of professionalism were above and beyond my expectations. I was well informed of my diagnosis, all questions were answered with detail and Dr, Nguyen and his assistant Christine were very personable. I felt extremely relaxed during the procedure to remove the pimple and felt confident that I was in good hands. All around it was a great experience. read more

Excellent professional care; easy-to-make appointments; full acceptance and understanding of my military retirement TRICARE health insurance; convenient location; spotlessly clean and well-equipped office/clinic. I struggled to find a good dermatologist who provided the level of care I routinely received at a military medical facility before I reached Medicare age, at which point, my access to dermatology care at a military facility ended. Having recently moved to the area, I found the Schweiger Dermatology Group on Yelp when I was in need of a skin exam and got a swift appointment with Melissa Rosenhan, PA-C and was not disappointed. I was a bit anxious having not visited a Dermatologist in years, but Melissa was extremely warm and knowledgable during my visit. The office was bright, clean, and almost had a calming quality to it like you were at the spa. Proper social distancing measures were in place in the waiting area which put me even more at ease. The only down side was, as stated in another previous review, I was quoted $200 for a visit on the phone when my appointment was scheduled but I ended up having to pay $250... it's a miscommunication I can look passed based on the positive experience I had while there. Would recommend and will certainly be returning for my Dermatology needs in the future. read more

Due to Covid-19 visitors are not allowed in. Completely understandable. Therefore I called in advanced and was assured it would not be an issue. My dilemma, in which I was inquiring about may or may not be hereditary. I wanted the doctor to observe and compare. I also noted the reason for my visit in advance. The secretary at the front desk was rude, to put it mildly. She not only was livid that I had someone there, she went as far as asking for their purpose, which is confidential. That is between my doctor and I. Once in the office my doctor did not even check the content I laid out on the counter top which I brought along to show her. It may be a contributing factor to my current state. She spouted 2 or 3 things that she guessed it could be. Told me there's not much to say or do until the blood work is received and was very dismissive. Brief is an understatement. When I then moved on to my second ailment, the look on her face literally compelled me to defend myself by stating I had noted the reasons for my visit in advance. She was not sure as to what my second prognosis could be. Not completely sure but yet, advised a method that is minimally invasive. Needless to say, any procedure, minimal or not, the patient would like assurance that their medical assessment is spot on. I was really looking forward to this visit and was hoping a doctor in this specific field would be more cultivated, inquisitive and welcoming. I am disappointed and hope that today was an off day for the office and it's staff. It does not excuse their absence of good manners, work etiquette and condescending attitude. I will be returning for a second visit to review the results and hope that first impressions aren't always accurate. This experience leads me to believe that perhaps the reviews are fabricated to gain clients. One person, the physician assistant, was kind, patient and cordial. She must be the glue that keeps everything running smoothly or the balance to the superiority complex that is rampant. The insurance may cover the cost of the visit but the disrespect and overall anticlimactic prognostication which may prove to be unfounded, is immeasurable. read more

I travel 45 mins to come here as they are just that GOOD! Dr. Kaczmarski has helped me in two visits! I have been previously going to a dermatologist closer to where I live for a year, and Dr. Kaczmarski has surpassed all my expectations and did more for me already then a whole year with my previous doctor! I found Schweiger Dermatology on ZocDoc & I've been pleased ever since. The staff is very sweet & pleasant & the facility is very clean and bright. I never wait more then 15 minutes to be seen. Parking is easy to find! I went in to figure out why there was little to no growth in my hairline and discoloration in the skin and the dermatologist was able to pin point and treat me & within 2 weeks my discoloration was treated & started a treatment for my lack of hair growth as well. I had an issue with a cyst above my eye that I had tried to deal with myself and only made it much much worse. Finally, I accepted the fact that I had to make my first visit to the dermatologist as the cyst (with my help) had gotten out of control. The staff was excellent from the second I walked through the door and the doctor not only helped me with the cyst above my eye but also helped me with another skin issue that had been bother me for years! All said and done I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes and had two issues dealt with like it was nothing. The service was excellent and most importantly they helped me with my main issue and an additional issue I threw at them while in the chair, no questioned asked. The front desk staff here are as amazing as the doctors on the other side. Every time I've come I've been taken on time or EARLY and see the doctor within a few minutes. I see Dr. Polar who knows what he's doing, tells me what he's thinking and then asks what I think of his suggestions. Let me start by saying I rarely post a review but when one is treated exceptionally well and the outcome supersedes your expectations, then I have to give credit where credit is due and most definitely deserved. After struggling with my skin condition for quite some time, and having seen a number of dermatologist, I had little hope for any satisfying prognosis or outcome. I recently visited Schweiger Dermatology in Grassy Sprain, and was beyond pleased with the service I received from Jarrett Kaczmarski PA, and his Medical Assistant Krystina. They were extremely professional, had great chemistry and they really seemed to know their stuff. After the examination, Jarrett took the time to explain my condition, how to manage it and prevent from future flare ups. In just two days, my symptoms subsided and I was well on my way to having a clear, flake free, red free face. I feel back to normal, rather better than normal. And I owe it to that team and most importantly Jarrett.
