Before this, I had been to the Yonkers Ave. location, which was a great experience. However, my wife left the appointment here utterly disappointed and discouraged. The moment she walked in, the medical assistants were engulfed in their conversation unrelated to work--alongside the PA while she waited to be attended to. They continued with no assurance or professionalism toward the workplace environment. Being an RN, my wife was appalled at the lack of professionalism from the medical assistants while the PA seemingly engaged alongside them despite how it might impact the experience of someone going there for the first time. When it was time for her to be seen, the PA did not conduct a thorough examination but stood from afar and told her she had traction alopecia without properly examining or taking the time to parse out potential causes. Once the appointment was over, the PA and medical assistant walked out and reinitiated their conversation while leaving my wife in the room without further instructions on where to go. This practice lacks proper decorum and is exceptionally unprofessional, with poor bedside manners from its providers. Suffice it to say we will never return to this location again.

So of course, I had to make an appointment with her, after seeing other Dermatologist that have fallen short of treating my skin condition. She's very detailed in her examination and in the way she explains your condition and ultimately the treatment. She takes her time and talks to you like you are more than a patient. "Like Family". Her care doesn't end at the office, she follows up with you to make sure everything is going well through every phase of the treatment. She's like the Britannica of Dermatology, literally. It's always a pleasure seeing her and listening attentively to her diagnosis and recommendation which leads to a great outcome.

Going through my teen years, I never had an issue with acne. Even while being a fitness enthusiast…read moresince age 15, I only ever had the typical one or two pimples here and there. My issue began in 2020 at age 22; I started to notice a slight increase in pimples (my guess is due to a rise in stress levels). Then, in 2021--soon after I began taking Whey Protein and overusing products in response to the increase in pimples--LOTS of little flesh colored bumps began to appear on my face. There were too many of them to control, so I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Goldwasser. I told her everything that had been going on and what I had been doing, which she recorded, and in response gave me very knowledgeable/helpful feedback. She knew right away what she was looking at on my face: Comedonal Acne. Warning me that it would take some time, she promised that she would transform my skin, writing a plan out that included some diet advice and great product advice. Her promise speaks through my after photo, which you should see for yourself attached, as I am so happy! Furthermore, I loved the products that she recommended so much, that I continue to use them to this day. Thank you Dr. Goldwasser, you are a truly iconic doctor, the BEST dermatologist :)

I wish I had read the reviews here before making an appointment. You've been warned…read more I did not meet with the Doctor until AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES after my appointment time!!!!! An hour and ten minutes!!! Ridiculous. And this was an early hour appt too. My meeting w the doctor didn't even last no more than 15minutes. By the way, the walls here are very, very thin. I can hear EVERY single word coming out of the room next door. Oh. And why was my door not shut completely while I was getting examined? Spreaded butt cheeks and all??! Ugh!! I don't know why anybody would ever want to come back here. Doctor was okay. Front receptionist was nice and friendly. Although while I was waiting in the lobby, I overheard one of the employees say this out loud about another patient ... "She's a b***h. She doesn't like to wait. And she's not even on time for her appt" -- swear to God, I wish this was a lie. Couldn't believe my ears!! Stay away.

Almost makes my skin crawl…read more.... While I have been to worse places, this is a place I'll still likely never return to. They say first impressions are important - well my first impression of this place was not at all good. While things slightly improved, this place isn't promising. I arrived about 30 minutes earlier than my appointment time and came upon a crowded waiting room. I went to the desk and the miserable human being sitting there almost went out of her way to not acknowledge me. I did notice a sign in sheet on my own, signed in, sat down. About a half hour later - after nothing - I saw another patient with a clipboard for a new patient paperwork, so I went back to the front to this miserable person and told her I was a new patient. No eye contact, she sighed and handed me the clip board with a pen and nothing else. I get it - people have bad days - but you don't take it out on complete strangers in your place of work. Can't handle it, then quit. Better yet, she should get reprimanded and terminated. I work in healthcare and this is inexcusable. The fact that she's working is poor. She was wearing blue scrubs and had her Airpods in. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with this sorry sack again as I handed my clipboard to a friendlier and more welcoming person. If I cared enough to come back, I can only wish to never see this person again. Past that person, all other staff were friendly enough. The doctor answered my questions. I was given a prescription - but instead of them faxing the script to my pharmacy, they have this place I never heard of that delivers to your doorstep. I'm on the fence about trying it or just holding out for another dermatologist. I was eventually seen about 40 minutes past my appointment time - an hour and ten minutes total wait. This is located on the 5th floor in a building that holds a lot of other offices. There is plenty of parking, but it can get crowded at the same time. Would've probably been about 3 stars, but that person at the desk is not very good for any environment that has to do with the general public. So I will see what else is out there before I attempt to return to this location - IF I do at all. Maybe if I do, hopefully that nasty person is no longer employed there and they'll give choices on where your prescription can go.

I wouldn't even give this place one star. The PA and his assistant will lie to you about sending…read moreyour medicine to pharmacies but you'll never get it. They also suck at patient education and they told me I could buy glyccolic acid pad, and then they didn't tell me from where so I came back to pharmacy only to find out they want me to buy from their office. Then they are like we'll work with you in sending them over like how is that going to make up for the time my face has suffered due to your incompetency? Also the dude is getting paid for some lasers, so he thinks antibiotics aren't a cure for acne (its acne, dude, not cancer, open a textbook) so he wants to do laser (like we all don't know there are so many other antibiotics/ isoretinoin etc available for acne treatment) just so he can extort money. I should have listened to the ratings here and never have wasted my 3 months with them. My acne is worse than before, and I'll probably also be filing a lawsuit for the emotional and financial distress they have caused me by denying my treatment. This place is the definition of incompetency. The person who gave this 5 star is probably from their own staff lol.
