Review for Dr. Devens and staff If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother, who has progressive MS and can barely walk, had an appointment here for mole removals across her back. We drove 45 minutes to get here, even calling the office about 45 minutes in advance to let them know we would be running late because of police activity and major road construction. Despite that, when we arrived 16 minutes late, they flat out refused to see her. I explained the situation to the receptionist -- that my mother's condition makes travel very difficult and that this was part of an ongoing medical procedure. The response I got was cold and dismissive. The receptionist didn't care about anything other than the fact that I was "speaking loudly." She even threatened to call the cops because I raised my voice out of frustration, while showing zero empathy for the fact that my disabled mother had struggled to get there at all. The worst part? My mother had to hobble back in herself only to be told she shouldn't come back. Let's be honest -- this is what happens when you're a Medicaid patient and the doctor has a "God complex." Patients with the "right" insurance probably wouldn't be treated this way. Now we have to start the process all over again with another dermatologist, wasting more time and putting my mother through more stress than she should ever have to endure. If you value compassion, basic decency, or accessibility for people with serious health conditions -- do not come here. Make sure you have the "best" insurance and show up perfectly on time, because otherwise, you'll be treated horribly. This experience was demeaning, exhausting, and unnecessary. read more

BEWARE Dr Goldberg is negligent and provides irresponsible care. I saw Dr Goldberg for SRT treatment for basil cell. plan was to get radiation 2x weekly for 7 weeks. After one treatment i was advised my subsequent appointment was cancelled because the machine broke. No eta or urgency on fixing it. Then days later got a call that I could go to their other office for treatment. After my second treatment they cancelled my next appt. I have consulted 2 other Drs and both said that Dr Goldberg was negligent and i should not have had 2 treatments a week apart. it did nothing other than unneccesarily radiate the skin. and he does't do image guided which is needed to verify the tumor is gone. I was not told this. I requested four times that Dr Goldberg call me to discuss but he refused. and i just received a large bill which i will not be paying! read more

Hello, I am writing this review due to the extremely poor customer service of all three offices schweiger dermatology I have been recording here for eight years. I was prescribed a very powerful antibiotic for over eight years and now I have life alternating alternating permanent problems I've gone to both offices and all the doctors seem extremely not even trying to rush you out the room with no real help or no real concern towards your issue. All of the doctors seem to just always want to refill all your medicine and not give you any effective or real treatment. I have spent hours a day trying to contact different offices regarding my issue how I have developed acute lupus due to my antibiotic used that they have continued to prescribe me. They have continued to prescribe me different ointment and pills that do not help at all they've done nothing but prolong my conditions and worse them overtime instead of giving me effective treatment I really truly deeply advise no one to go here and expect horrible customer service horrible workers, and employees. They were they weren't even doctors prescribing the medicines they have nurses imposing as doctors thinking they know everything and then when you get a severe reaction or your symptoms worse or you get sick, they tell you to go see a Doctor Who doesn't even have any availability for almost months on in months on, I am telling you I went to this practice for over eight years. Do not expect any humanity or decency from this place. All the doctors are extremely and everybody is extremely entitled to their own meaning there is no human to human. There is no doubt to earth conversation. I have diagnosed extremely bad disease due to them, diagnosing me, and I also have evidence of the mixed diagnosis. Other doctors have also confirmed that these medicines and pills and creams that they were giving me I've now let me having severe health problems, excessive rashes, white hair etc. Also sleeping issues feeling sick all the time I've developed several auto immune disease diseases. We were referred to Schweiger Yonkers by our pediatrician and had a great experience. The physician's assistant, Kelsey, diagnosed our son's infected bug bite right away and wrote us a prescription. It heeled very quickly with her recommended treatment. She was kind and knowledgeable. read more

Receptionist was super nice. However, The service from the doctor was terrible. Felt rushed, just told me the name of what I have didn't explain what it is, what causes it, how to prevent it when I asked she looked at me like I asked the most dumbest question ever. I have encountered billing issues with this practice, that I feel should be shared, in hopes of saving others from frustration and unfair charges. As a patient, I was in this office for mere moments, where I received a quick cortisone shot and am now being billed for a "procedure". Not only is this unwarranted (as a quick/small shot is NOT a procedure), but this is the first time I have had a dermatology office charge specifically for this. I have been to many appointments, where a shot is administered and included in the charges for your visit, not billed as a procedure. So please know this before visiting this office. Additionally, escalating this concern just gets routed to a service that takes weeks to reply and is followed up with a cold, unsigned email, that includes no personal contact for someone to follow up with. My mother went to remove a dark spot she had in her face and the female PA-C "MELISSA ROSENHAN" spoke to my mother really unprofessional!! We even think she was racist towards Hispanics!!! She yelled at my mother and told her she did not have time to complete the peel procedure although my mother had her appointment scheduled for that time. She had the worst experience! I rarely review and this is a must. Take yourself and/or your loved ones somewhere else! As a manager of an office for many years, it has frightened me to see my mothers experience with this office- mainly her encounter with a woman who is said to be the office manager, NICOLE. I will not go on about the medical steps that were taken as I am no medical expert. I will say that in dealing with issues like skin cancer- there should be a staff in place that is kind and professional. It was so appalling to hear the way this woman spoke down to my mother. This patient has been billed incorrectly and has spent a total of two hours on the phone with billing who in the end asked her to call the office. They displayed incompetency and no proper customer care. The conversation of my mother explaining kindly her frustrations with the situation she received rudeness, lack of empathy and was then hung up on by Nicole. DISGUSTING. She called back to report this behavior and/or speak to the doctor. The answering service said sure hold on- when she gave her name she was then told that the office was closed at 4:49pm- She said I was just on the phone with Nicole and then CLICK! was hung up on again. I have found another highly recommended doctor for my mother- and I urge you to do the same. I also urge the department reading these reviews to listen to their recorded calls. If by any chance that fails you to hear how my mother was treated - reach out. I actually have the hang ups on my Ring camera as my mother sat outside crying in frustration. I have been in customer service for 20 years and shame on this office for treating a patient the way they did. Terrible experience. I took my daughter for a first time visit with Melissa Rosenhan for Acne. She walked in and barely looked at me or my daughter. She wrote down on a piece of paper what products my daughter should use to wash her face and told her was going to prescribe a topical cream. She was there for only 2 minutes. I did not like her at all!!!!. She seemed to be in a rush to get out of there. My daughter is 16 years old and she told me that she felt the doctor did not care. I paid $200 for a 2 minute visit. read more

This place didn't do the best job on my surgery. I had a cyst removed from my scalp. They told me that after the surgery I'll be able to go right back to work the same day. After the surgery they left the back of my head soaked in blood. They didn't clean my head or anything. They then told me that I shouldn't bathe for two days so having my head soaked in blood for two days was super depressing. Then after the stitches got removed, I found one that was still there. They tried to remove a few weeks later but they couldn't get it all. The stitch stayed for months and ended up hurting more than the cyst they removed. Then they keep billing for my two return visits related to the stitch they didn't remove which I found surprising. I'm super nice to everyone there and some people aren't nice at all. I ended up going to another dermo who was a bit surprised at their work and removed the stitch easily and quickly and I'm finally feel of the pain. So yes, this place is not great. Thankfully the surgery was minor. I couldn't imagine what would've happened had it been something more major. read more

Out of all the dermatologists that I have seen, be in MDs, NP, or PAs, PA-c Palines was hands away the best. I must say that I went into the office with some pretty nasty problems after being in the hospital for months, but he treated me with the utmost respect. I needed to get a procedure done and he was booked but rather than have me come back again from Scarsdale, I waited a bit and then he took care of one of the problems. I always read YELP reviews before I go to a Dr/OD/DO/NP/PA and won't go unless the reviews are stellar.He is a true 5 star health care provider. I needed a medicine and it was called into the pharmacy and was ready by the time I hit Scarsdale CVS. No issue/attitude with the office staff.They were great read more

I have been going to Schweiger dermatology for years-- both Mitzy and Jarrett have been great to work with. Why the two stars? Getting medication prescriptions filled from this office has been a nightmare. Over the past two days I have had to call over 7x to fix a simple prescription issue between CVS and the provider. I called the Yonkers location again today and spoke to a lady who simply hung up on me when she couldn't help me with the situation. Medical providers should learn professional courtesy and it should not take over two days, 7 calls to fix a simple prescription issue. They need to figure out a more efficient system before they start losing patients. read more

Waited one hour and a half to speak to a NP for 5 minutes. Completely unacceptable wait time. Staff alleged there was a break in the night before, which is unfortunate, but if the staff arent equipped to serve the patients in a timely manner, then they shouldn't have opened. read more

I rarely write a review but, I'm so happy with finding this dermatology office. They're quick and efficient. The doctors are polite and listen. I'm very happy to be a new patient after leaving my old dermatologist with less progressive techniques. This will definitely be my new location going forward. read more
