The doors are fiberglass and the manufacturing company told me it would take a major blow to crack and indent the exterior surface of this door. When I pointed out the damages to the jamb to the carpenter, I was told "it came that way." They did not come that way. It took 2 days for 2 supposedly experienced carpenters to install doors that they had to remove after fully installed to correct problems that kept the doors from shutting. They were almost almost an hour late each day. They took 3 to 4 cigarette breaks per hour. They were not prepared with basics such as screws of various lengths, tools needed to plane a warped area in the opening for the door, spray foam to seal gaps in spaces, etc. I reached out to the carpenter and he flatly denied any damage occurred due to their installation and work with our doors. No willingness to assume any responsibility for their substandard work. Use caution if you hire this company. We have to buy another door to replace the damaged one.

Although Frick's was among the more affordable companies, I chose them based on Joseph's genuine sincerity in making sure I was happy with the work. He thoroughly explained how he would do things, made recommendations that saved me money and put all the specifics in writing. I appreciated his attention to details. Joseph and his crew did a magnificent job bringing this worn, disheveled, damaged house back to life. The home looks fresh and brand new. Every wall, ceiling and trim was painted. I have all new, gorgeous flooring. They made all kinds of repairs to the house, that if I had to hire someone for every kind of repair, would have cost me much more. I am thrilled with my "new" house and grateful to Joseph and his team of professionals.

The detailed summary after the work was extremely helpful and well put together. The installer showed up completely clueless, dumped hundreds of parts all over our yard, and cobbled it together in a way that was flat-out unsafe. No cleanup, trash everywhere, and despite coming back six different times it's still not right. They've managed to scratch multiple pieces, which are now rusting, and the mess of boxes they promised to haul away are still sitting there. To top it off, someone showed up at my daughter's house today, where the swingset is, and started yelling at her -- unbelievably unprofessional behavior. Avoid these people at all costs. They don't know what they're doing, they don't stand by their word, and they treat customers with zero respect.

Horrible experience--stay away from this company…read more I provided all the specifications for a large job, including: * 12 rods * 1 large mirror * 1 TV mounting I even included the weight details to ensure they sent someone qualified. The first person they sent was an older gentleman who was unprofessional and unable to handle the job. The second time, they sent a man and his niece, who took three days to complete the work and caused significant property damage. The niece, who was not qualified, struggled to hold the mirror and almost dropped it on my husband while he and my mom stepped in to help. Instead of assisting, she just stood there watching. They worked sloppily, dropped tools on my engineered wood floors, and generally lacked the skill to do the job properly. When I disputed the charge with Fixttman, they threatened to come after me for the money, even though I needed to hire drywallers and painters to repair the damage they caused. One subcontractor even threatened to enter my home with three men, forcing me to call the police. On top of that, a Fixttman agent also threatened me. This company operates fraudulently, hires unprofessional workers, and offshores their customer service calls to agents who falsely represent the company as legitimate. In reality, it's just someone in Texas hiring unqualified workers and overcharging customers. They also tack on hidden fees, despite their workers being unprofessional and unskilled. Avoid this company at all costs, especially Justin from Nix Constructions. -responding to the owner who also threatened me, -the crew smelled strongly of marujana. -the had changes, because the put the rod in the second room without asking which height, just assumed it was the first room height. -secondly had no level so their work was never was straight (admittedly, some ceiling was not leveled) but if he's an expert he would know how to adjust accordingly. every time I would come into the room the brackets are not straight. they still are not! -the drywall patch they used gun caulk, which I provided for them, and did not sand or paint before leaving, even though he said he would. This company is a joke. Fair warning: this company is a fraud do not use them Even the police, when they came to see the work, when I called them after the threats I received from both Justin and the company, said that the work was pretty bad. -I paid Justin full price for the artwork, I asked him to hang it via Zelle. no one is running away from payment, but you do not under any circumstances pay for bad work. -if this company was legit, they would acknowledge the bad work, instead of asking for payment -The technician spent 3 days because he had an untrained niece with him. How is a young girl supposed to be able to hang a 100+ lbs mirror. -Justin, the subcontractor started threatening me calling me "interior designer my a$$" even though that is my profession and the home is for clients arriving Friday into their home. -the agent who called me claimed he was a lawyer and also threatened me. -these people are trying to make it about me not wanting to pay, but please see their work. this is only half of the photos. -this will be a civil matter taken to dispute these people are not anyone you should ever work with. - and these people are not to be trusted

My townhome also needed some exterior upgrades to the trim, a good pressure washing in the entry, and a fresh coat of paint. Luis even threw in some freebies by patching holes in the garage and painting the interior and exterior garage door, fixing the mailbox, and disposing of miscellaneous furniture that was no longer needed. I also added some plumbing upgrades toward the end of the project (replaced all toilets and replaced faucet fixtures in sink, bathtub, and shower). Throughout the project, Luis kept me informed and sent progress photos of the work that was completed each day. Luis was very gracious and allowed us to use his business account to purchase all the paint (which saved us about 40%...I hadn't realized how expensive paint had gotten). Luis and the team also made several trips to Home Depot to purchase additional supplies and material for the added scope (which I really appreciated as it saved me time and I was able to just reimburse him). It's always a bit scary going with a group that was found online without any personal recommendations or connections. But I had a great feeling after speaking and meeting Luis. He definitely did not disappoint. The renovations turned out way better than I could have imagined. We've already started to get compliments. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend this group to all of my friends and family in the future. Thank you...Thank you...Thank

One afternoon with Handy Marin and suddenly I'm looking at wood grain I forgot existed. It's like depreciation reversed before my eyes. As if restoring the deck weren't enough, he also re-hung the wayward shutters on the front of my home. Think of them as irrational markets suddenly corrected--now everything looks balanced, stable, and dare I say, aesthetically efficient. The work was quick, thorough, and surprisingly affordable--an optimal equilibrium of quality and cost. I rarely give out 5-star reviews (my students will attest to this), but in this case, the marginal utility is through the roof. Handy Marin Services earns my highest recommendation.
