This salmon might as well be called Happy Salmon because we have had it over three months and it still squeaks and Finn still loves it SO much!! What a good buy. I'd never heard about Janis & Jack's Pet Supplies before, so I was really appreciative of the recommendation. This place is incredible! Janis & Jack's has something for everyone, from food and supplements, to harnesses, leashes and more. The store provides just about every kind of food one can imagine, including my favorite Primal raw food products. (Just a note: I've been feeding my dogs a raw food Primal diet for nearly 15 years and we've been blessed with happy, healthy dogs without any major health issues. I believe their health and longevity is, in large, due to this diet) The owner of the store was working during my visit, and went out of their way to help me find a harness that worked for my pup. This Mud Bay happened to be close by the hotel we were staying at and we were welcomed warmly by the staff members there. The staff members were very friendly and told us that we could ask them any questions if we had any and were polite with our dogs. We got what we needed fast as everything in the store was well organized and labeled for what we were looking for. I also love that the water bowl was clean and filled with lots of water as we were traveling and our dogs were quite parched from the long drive. Once we found everything we needed, we went up to the cashier, Kessandra T. and had a quick and pleasant transaction. They even added extra treats for our puppies to have a great trip. We love Mud Bay and it was great to have the same awesome service here as we are from Washington!

I've been told to ask for them at the counter and usually have to wait a while for another employee to get them from the back. It may be short-staffing issue, but some of the staff seems to be unmotivated and unfriendly, and I feel like it takes a lot longer to get my crickets than it should. My most recent experience was especially negative, I had stopped by the day before and been told that they did not have any crickets because of a supply chain issue, and would be receiving them the next afternoon. I came back the next day to find that they were still out of crickets, so I decided to get some small roaches instead. They were on clearance, so we needed to wait for manager approval on the register for the discount. The manager took more than 10 minutes to arrive. I don't think I will be visiting this location again, which is a shame because there are some great, friendly people who work there, but they are overshadowed by the poor customer service attitude of management and some other employees.

Looking for Ziwipeak, a premium dog food from New Zealand? How about a squeaky stuffed shark? Comfy, cozy beds? Expandable crates? Exercise pens that break down? Yeah... all those things, they have. And if they don't have them, just check in with a knowledgeable employee and they can let you know when their next shipment is coming in or if it can be special-ordered. Their cat selection looks equally impressive. They have cat grass at the front of the store, wand toys, many litter varieties... it's awesome! The only thing I've gone there for and haven't been able to find in stock is the white Care Fresh small animal litter but that isn't a game-changer (I can get that almost anywhere else). I really like the small animal hides and natural chews that they keep in stock. There was a day when someone came in with an unleashed dog and instead of throwing a fit, the staff kindly offered a leash to the dog's owner. The staff usually takes a minute to come over and greet my dog with tasty snacks and Daeli (my beagle) loves it. Also the staff can set you up with a frequent buyer program, which vary by company.
