Updating my review. Am not coming back…read more My overall feeling here is that I'm overcharged on any medical appointment I have. And more treatments are recommended to me than necessary including lots of optional pill work, which to me is a last option. Also the nurses always seem tired and unpleasant. I wait 40 minutes! for doctor to step into my consulting room. 10-20 before and 40 for him just to come in to talk to me. At that point, I'm just ready to get my consultation over with. The last annoyance was when I sprained my foot and wanted to get it check out by family doctor. I was told that "we don't do that". Ok, no problem! There's a next level urgent care across the street and they charge similar prices and have great staff there.

Once for heart disease (required a triple bypass surgery in 2001) and once for breast cancer (2008). He caught signs and symptoms very early on, and she was able to make a recovery in both instances. He also was an invaluable help when I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. He took the time to sit with me explaining how it was going to change my life, but not to let it get me down. He truly listens to his patients needs. In a world where medicine has become about how much profit can be made, its nice to find a physician who still genuinely cares about the needs of his patients and responds to each of them as if they were his only appointment for the day. Getting an appointment is fairly easy, I've always been able to get in same day for major items, and within a day or two for minor issues. Parking is a little tight, but there is a blood lab in the same facility (suite 15) so that is quite convenient. And he never makes fun of me for having a fear of needles and still being a big baby when it comes to them.

Dr. Albritton focuses on general medicine, women's health and medical management for weight loss. She has seen my parents through cancer, numerous elderly issues and now dementia. The office staff is friendly and very helpful when I call with questions or concerns. She has been a blessing in our lives.

It was not lunchtime. The call went straight to voicemail. I called again several times, waiting several minutes between each call, and the same thing happened. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the doctor and had to go to Urgent Care. I had actually wanted to make Dr. Albritton my PCP from a while back, due to the positive reviews of the doctor herself. I was in the process of officially making her my PCP with my insurance when this happened. How incompetent can this staff be? No matter how superb of a provider Dr. Tiffany Albritton is, she is destroyed by the sheer nonexistence of her staff. If they do exist, they should be replaced with staff members who actually pick up the phone during business hours. If they don't exist at a certain point, fine. But for them to be absent for the whole duration of the period I incessantly called? I don't understand why any doctor would want to surround herself by staff that do nothing but bring her and her image down and create an aura of frustration and disappointment among her patients.

First, she was NOT friendly. I was taken aback instantly by how she answered the phone. She was very short, curt, and abrupt through our very brief conversation. Then, I realized she is only an answering service, and if I wanted to schedule an appointment, I would have to wait 6 days until someone else returned to the office to call me to get my information (and who knows how long I'd have to wait to be seen after that). If the first person I spoke to is any indicator on how the rest of my experience will go, I will easily move on and find someone else.

Our health insurance continued to keep him as an in-network provider and he is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, where I work. His care has been exemplary and I continue to have confidence in the advice he provides about various issues that have arisen over the decades of our association. The office staff and nurses are always attentive to requests for appointments, copies of blood test results, and other matters. There are other in-network providers who practice much closer to where we live, but the 25-minute drive is well worth keeping our connection to this fine physician.

Although I am a patient of Dr. Knafo, I've only spoken to her 3 of the minimum 9 times I had appointments. The other visits I was seen by two other female doctors. Now this isn't a big issue if you are going for smaller concerns like check ups and well woman exams but I had a continuous stomach issue that the lack of consistency in visits very negatively effected. I ran the same tests multiple times and explained the same symptoms/reactions to the doctors each visit and we ran in circles. I understand this is a family practice and not a specialist, but at some point it's up to the doctors to admit they don't know and refer me to someone else. It took a year of this before I broke down crying and begged for them to refer me. I would like to commend Dr. Knafo on what she is TRYING to do. When I did get to meet with her she was very caring and serious about my mental health. ( I have anxiety and depression ) Although, I believe this effected her judgement a little too much, I often felt like she wouldn't take my other physical health concerns seriously until I started taking medication as she strongly urged for me to start taking lexipro whenever I saw her. I've been doing well with my mental health, and would often express to her the reason behind my being so wound up and on the verge of tears in her office is because I was a 19 year old college student battling a mystery issue and running the same tests every visit. Making appointments is easy, everything else over the phone is hit or miss depending on if they feel like taking your call at that time.
