Dr. Patel is very personable , kind and thorough. I came in to establish care and get an annual physical . I was able to make an appointment within the week. The wait was a little longer than I liked but not terrible. I didn't receive a call to confirm/ remind me of my appointment but I was able to get through to the office on the phone with no problems. I appreciate the time Dr. Patel took to help me understand my care and the next steps with a radiology order I was given. My husband is also a patient and he agrees that this clinic is very good and cares about patient health outcomes. read more

This place is terrible, I was having issues with my insurance but was able to resolve the matter but it delayed my appointment. I went in to do my vitals and when the doctor came in he saw that my blood pressure was high and didn't even asked me what I went in for, he just assumed. Told me to loose weight and pretty much shoved me out his office I also went for back pain but he touched my back in the hallway and disregarded my concern. I felt so rushed and not cared for, I honestly am very disappointed. The doctor was in a hurry and always cut me off in the middle of my sentences. Definitely switching providers. Nice people, terrible practice. I moved to the area recently and needed to see a GP for a physical and a few minor issues. I went to Katy Family Physicians and saw the doctor. They noticed an issue and asked me to return the next week for some follow up tests. I came back and had the tests performed. Turns out, the second series of test, despite being in the same office, etc. were from a different provider - one that was out of network and ended up costing me almost $4000. How in the hell was I to even SUSPECT that I was dealing with a different provider? I went to the same office, checked in with the same staff, had the test performed in the same exam rooms. One, they should have informed me that these follow up tests were being performed by an outside group and two, given they that asked for and scheduled the test, they should have done a check with insurance BEFORE the tests were performed. I could have gone to an in-network provider for the same tests and paid a fraction of the cost. Those simple courtesies are what a good medical practice handles well because they care about their patients. I will obviously not be returning here. read more

My family has been seeing Dr Namesh Patel, on Peek Rd in Katy, TX, for approx 15 years. I have always known him to be very professional and the staff has worked hard to make available appointments, even at the last minute, always. He is someone that you know will always be there, even in this sometimes impersonal, massive city of Katy. He is especially good, in my opinion, dealing with teenagers,  whether it be someone to talk to, taking all the time they need. He is exceptionally good at making them feel important and speaking of the importance to be the best you can be. And yes, he will let you know if you could be the source of the health problem, like overweight and not exercising. (I am guilty) This is his job!!! Which in my opinion, he takes a lot of pride in. I am a nurse and have recommended Dr Patel to many friends and co-workers who couldn't thank me enough. Dr. Patel has been my doctor for a number of years. I have never had to wait long to get in and I have never felt like I was rushed out the door once I was meeting with him. Came here for a follow up and waited almost an hour for the front desk to verify my insurance, which was already verified before I even came. Visit was short and sweet but the front desk staff needs more training on proper customer service. Dr Patel has been my primary care since I moved to Texas almost 5 years ago. He's one of the best and most caring dr's ! He takes time to listen to you (even when you are a very talkative person-like me). He's helped navigate me through a car accident that just continues to take more and more from me. When I brought by 5year old in over a vacation break, he went out of his way to make my kiddo feel important (& cool ;) This is truly an amazing Dr! I only did 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. We called the clinic before hand and made an appointment for my husband. We informed them of the insurance we had, what we were coming in for, and even gave all our insurance details. My husband's appointment was at 2:30, so we get there, wait for 45 minutes past his appointment time. The receptionist calls us to the front and says "Sorry we are out of service." Very disrespectful of your patients time. Do not recommend this place. read more

I am big on reviews and believe that when you find a great Dr you should support them with great reviews. I have visited this location for my airrosti treatments. It has helped me tremendously when i have had back pain. The first time I visited I had made the mistake to pick up on something without using proper technique. I was in serious pain and I spent the entire weekend on my back. I was informed about this treatment through one of my co workers and I was in so much pain I didn't have anything to lose. I was able to get an appointment the same day and I went in and saw Sunil Vachhani. The way the procedure works is my using pressure points to relive the muscle pain. Since I could barely walk any relive would have been good for me. After @ 40 minutes of pressure in different areas of my back, he told me to sit up, then to stand up. Previously I could barely stand up without pain, but after he finished there was no pain! I was able to walk out feeling like a new man. This procedure is covered by most insurance benefits. If you ever have back pain you should definitely give airrosti a try. There are offices throughout the Houston area. read more

This is the WORST doctors office I have EVER been to. I've been there multiple times for checkups, but TWICE I've been there with either a fever or a serious sinus infections and BOTH TIMES they did not treat me. No flu test, strep test, no steroid shot, no prescription, NOTHING; and they billed my insurance company 2x the amount I've paid in the past. I will never be back. Not to mention, I visited during COVID-19 and they have zero sanitary precautions (no face coverings, hand sanitizer in place and the entire office is disgusting. Lesson learned to do my proper research on reputable doctors clinics. I'll let the experience speak for itself. Walking in you are handed papers to fill out (no digitization). You then have to pay before the visit even starts. Once you get inside you see doors "labeled" with a plain paper and a number written on it via marker. I had a 10:30 a.m. appointment and did not see the doctor (Dr. Patel) until 2 hours later- 12:30 p.m. The Dr. then attempts to have me do blood work without even consulting me first. After the visit is over, I received a call a few days later with my lab results. Instead of giving the correct medication based on my lab results, they require you to come back in the office to tell you face to face what they already did on the phone for "approval" of the medication request (even though the lab test already states the results). This is to bill your insurance again and/or have you pay a considerable amount of $$ out of pocket if it doesn't meet the deductible. Never have seen that kind of procedure before. read more

I would say, the most well ran PCP's office I have been to. First off, the staff is EXTREMELY efficient. They seem to know each patient individually and are on top of EVERYTHING. Dr. Patel is equally as attentive, very knowledgeable and caring. Great bedside manner and efficient. I would reccomend this establishment to anyone looking. Total lack of professionalism here. Having someone from the front desk call with test results without explaining anything, just saying they were not good. News flash, that's what it takes to get folks to panic. Perhaps if they would of said they are much better than before but still could be better that would not make someone panic. Katie the NP there is condescending at best, throwing in little snide comments when she can making you feel like you're the reason you're ill. Throw in you book an appointment at 8am when they open only to see everyone rolling in at around 8:30 whole you're sitting there needing to get to work, thanks folks for making me work extra hours at my job because you can't get to yours on time when people are waiting. Met with Dr Patel for the first time yesterday. As some have mentioned, he is very personable and easy to talk to. Perhaps because we are close in age, he comes across as one of the guys. His personality suits me perfectly. I didn't have a complicated medical condition so I can't attest for his experience and deep knowledge in medicine. However, he comes across as sharp and on point. He quickly diagnosed my symptoms and knew what to prescribe. I was looking for a primary care physician and I think I found my guy. I look forward to working with Dr. Patel in the future. Worse DR ever! Didn't put any thought in my diagnosis. I had a concussion and was dehydrated. I had visited him two times and he told me to take my xanax and basically get over my headache. I ended up in the emergency room needing a cat scan and many other tests. His staff is lazy, and their professional demeaner appears as though they just rolled out of bed. Rosa is the most unprofessional, none helping, none empathetic & none sympathetic Business Manager I have ever stumbled across in my entire life. My 24 year old daughter goes to Nurse Katy which she absolutely loves. Today she called to get a refill on her prescription and we were directed to Rosa the business manager. I am a single mother and my job is a non essential business that has closed down due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. We are just trying to make it through this hard, challenging time just like most people are. My daughter asked Rosa could they waive the doctors visit so that she could get her refill that she actually needs to do her online classes and Rosa was very cold hearted, she had no sympathy nor empathy towards her or our situation. My daughter went on to explain to her that she didn't have enough money for the doctors visit and her prescription refill and again Rosa kept repeating herself that she would still need to pay the full amount of the doctors visit. My daughter was told in January she had one more refill before she needed to come back for a follow up visit with Nurse Katy. Rosa informed us that wasn't the case. My daughter asked could she do a payment arrangement so that she could get in to be seen By Nurse Katy in order to get her prescription she needs for school and again Rosa was very cold hearted and said no she would have to pay the full amount of the visit in order to get her refill. My daughter told Rosa that she did not have the money for a office visit and her medication and was there anyway she could help her by lowering the payment amount for the Office visit so she could afford to come into the office and get her medication and again Rosa said NO!! We are in a PANDEMIC and this is so unfortunate that you have people like Rosa working in a position where she is able to help others and refuses to. We are all human and many of us are needing help in this time. My daughter needed that help today and Rosa was not Even trying to help her in any kind of way. In all the years I have managed/Owned I have never treated anyone like she treated my daughter today. As a Manager you are there to listen not with just your ears but also with your heart in order to help Solve problems, help others and help resolve matters that are great for the business and the patients. Today Rosa failed at that!! This is a time when businesses show you the heart of who they are. I understand that people have to feed their families and businesses have to take care of their bills, but I also understand when you have to take the time to Help others in a time of great need and to put yourself in another persons shoes and HELP that person/patient. I will end this with Rosa called us immediately after speaking to Dr. Patel and Rosa explained to us that Dr. Patel said my daughter had to pay for her full visit and that they would not be able to discount my daughters visit at all in order for her to get her medication she needs for school. Mind you my daughter does not have a job and is a full time Nursing student. I am the provider in my family. She is a self paying patient and a full time student. I would be the one paying for this visit her mother who's employment is no longer at this time due to the COVID-19 closing of all nonessential businesses. Its very disheartening and disturbing to know people like Rosa are in positions to help others and refuse too. Help is something everyone will need at some point in their life and I pray this is not the response that you will continue to give to patients who are in great need right now & in the most trying times this world has ever seen. You will wait forever for your scheduled appointment! I saw Dr. Patel as a referral doctor for an ortho for my broken foot. Dr. Patel would have me come in every 3-4 weeks until released by the ortho. My appointments would always be scheduled for 8:30/9:00 AM (they open at 8:30) and somehow the doctor was always running behind and would not see me for at least 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. If you have time to waste I would recommend going to Katy Family Physicians! read more

This place is a joke. I was recommended this office through a coworker. First of all, the Dr. was late. The NP said she didn't know where he was and that she'll do the exam. Discussed a few symptoms I had with her. She brushed it off as stress related. 2 days later was diagnosed with bronchitis by another Doctor. I haven't had the same experience as these other reviewers. Dr. Patel treated me like my concerns did not matter and that everything and anything was related to my weight. I came in with an infection, mind you I never get sick, and he told me while asking some questions about my history "I won't talk about your weight because I'm sure you already know" and went on to the next question like he didn't just make that condescending comment. I understand his concern, but he did my annual physical and literally everything came back clean bill of health. Mind you, my boyfriend went to the same doctor, for the same physical, he's a power lifter mind you so on the outside he is all muscles, had his physical come back with slightly high cholesterol and high liver enzymes, yet Dr. Patel doesn't tell him anything about his eating habits. There's nothing nice about him. I thought he was going to be a great doctor when I initially met him, but after I gained some weight after getting my IUD, he treated me like a whole different person. read more

The positive reviews given to this doctor tell absolutely nothing about what you will experience at the office. My experience however is negative and I will be as descriptive as I can be. I originally went to see Dr. Nimesh Patel just a few weeks before Harvey hit us. I chose him based on the positive reviews given to him online. The wait time in the office to see the doctor was not too bad (around 15 - 20 minutes with an appointment). The office staff in the front are straight forward and right to the point. I would not call them friendly or unfriendly. You are given a form to sign up and that's what you need to do. Once you're done, sit back until you're called. Once I was called in, they showed me where to go and I sat there for a good 40 minutes before the doctor finally came in. No apology for seeing a patient 40 minutes after and more than 1 hour from the first arrival time. He walked in with another doctor (probably learning), shook my hand and ask me the reason for my visit. I said I needed a physical. At this point he started talking nonstop. I could not tell if he was doing this so that the other doctor could learn as much as possible or because that's just the way he is. In any case, I did have some other issues which prompted me to seek this physical exam and blood exam as well. I could not even describe these to him because every time I tried to, he would talk again and again continuously interrupting. There are other reviews online that say the same thing! This is exactly what he did, he took my blood pressure and put a stethoscope on me. He told me to lie on the table breath in breath out. He says. I see nothing wrong. We could not schedule the blood exam because I did not "fast" for enough hours. That is my fault. He took me back to the front office clerk and I was charged 40 dollars (copay). Be warned, this is one of those medical offices that will likely charge you even though they did NOTHING for you. One of those offices that calls you in just to see you and charges you for the visit. Anyways, I gave him the benefit of a doubt and I called in to schedule a blood exam. No answer. I called 2 days later. No answer. I called 1 day later 7 times in a row. No answer. Few weeks later Harvey hit the cinco ranch area very very hard. I called to see if he was available. No answer. I called again 2 days later, no answer. I drove by the office, it was closed due to harvey. Today 5/13 I called twice and guess what? Still no answer! I thought my number was blocked, so I used my wife's number and called in....again NO ANSWER. It's laughable at this point. Anyways, this is my experience. I will not be one of those people trying to keep you away from this person. Chances are, if you are reading this review you are an adult capable of making that decision on your own. But I will provide you this warning, if you're looking for good primary care where you are well taken care of (medically speaking), this is NOT the place for you. read more

Doctor Patel rushed through my exam. It was very clear he didn't even know why I was there (couldn't take 5 seconds to look at my chart). He told me that (despite a VERY dominant history of hypothyroidism in my family) I was probably just tired, stressed, and emotional from being a housewife, and mother. He was very cocky, and dismissed the information I gave him (probably because he was so busy talking. You can tell he's quite enamored with himself.). When I received my labs, I had questions about how close they were to being abnormal. I called the office and was routed to someone that wasn't even a nurse. She told me that she "...wasn't sure what she was looking at, but the doctor said it was all normal...". After spending 250.00 on my physical, I thought it would be courteous of the doctor to speak to me himself so I could ask him questions; after all, this is the treatment I receive when I go to see my kid's pediatrician, or my gynecologist, or ANY other doctor I have seen in the past. Thirty minutes later, I received a phone call from the same girl I spoke to before. She told me that the doctor didn't feel a need to talk to me, everything was fine. Since I watched this condition literally destroy my mother when her labs were "within normal", I was not satisfied with this blatant dismissal of my concerns. I got a second opinion, and sure enough, I HAVE HYPOTHYROIDISM. This doctor is a joke, and I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. read more
