He had random moving help and switched people in the middle of the move. Then he wanted to change up and say that the fee was an appliance fee, but he never told me there was an appliance fee on the front end. I booked him through U-Haul initially, and then his services were suspended through U-Haul. I should have known then to just use someone else. It took them an hour just to take apart my king-size bed. The day before, a friend and I moved all 70 boxes ourselves in about five hours total, including loading and unloading. I hired the movers only for the large furniture: a king-size bed, two nightstands, a dresser, a bench, a 65-inch TV, a TV stand, a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. Moving those items just four miles took them 6.75 hours, which is what I was billed for. After the first hour and a half, they had only taken apart the bed and moved the mattress downstairs. I asked why it was taking so long because it honestly felt like they were dragging their feet. Had I known they weren't actually firefighters, I never would have hired them. I chose this company because my neighbor had used them a few months earlier. I watched that move, and they were in and out very quickly. She also told me nothing was damaged, which gave me confidence in hiring them. Although I was frustrated with how long the move took, I still tipped them 10% using my credit card. I was then surprised to learn there was a 4% credit card processing fee. Since Square charges businesses 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction, I felt that passing along a 4% fee was excessive, so I deducted that amount from the tip. They used Square to process my transaction. As a small business owner in Scottsdale, I understand the cost of processing credit cards. While I would not use this service again. I was also disappointed that the company's name implied the movers were firefighters when they were not. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I was charged two hours of travel time coming and going to my place when they were getting ready to leave I googled travel time back to surprise and it said 43 minutes I was billed for an hour when I said something he said that they were going past Surprise to the yard that they had to return the truck too. Response to the owners reply The bed has hex screws holding it together, so the only reason it would be difficult to take apart is if you didn't have the proper tools. The fact that you wish you could provide bulky, glistening calendar movers has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote in my review or with the efficiency of the movers. I want to be a billionaire, but that doesn't mean I'm going to become one. Likewise, using a name that gives people the impression they are supporting local firefighters is misleading. I needed to get my household goods out of their storage quickly to stop the situation from getting worse. Just-In Time Moving was gracious enough to fit me into their schedule last minute. Their office was communicative, their estimate was thorough and clear, and the final bill matched what they estimated. The crew showed up on time, communicated throughout the day, and was professional, careful, and kind. This was not a simple move. They had to unload my furniture and belongings from storage crates, unwrap items that had been wrapped by the prior mover, take care with everything, rewrap my furniture, load it, transport it, and unload it into my new storage unit. They completed the entire job in 7.5 hours. By comparison, the prior mover had tried to bill me 16.5 hours for the move into storage alone. Just-In Time Moving did a fantastic job, and I am extremely grateful they were willing to help me on short notice. After the experience I had before them, their professionalism, clear communication, and honest billing meant everything. My advice to anyone hiring movers: read all reviews carefully, do not take online ratings at face value, check whether the company is listed with moversaz.org, review BBB ratings, and read how the company responds to 1-star and 2-star reviews. Their prices are extremely reasonable and more competitive than other local companies in the valley. They also offer a law-enforcement discount, which is awesome. I got a call and an email a couple days before my scheduled move for confirmation, and everything went so smooth. I can't say enough praises about my entire experience!! In our opinion, we would not use Mr. Buff again. We took out full insurance (paying extra for this…read moreservice) and were not reimbursed for a broken/damaged vacuum. It would have only cost them $150.00 to resolve the issue. The wife pointed out the damage and claimed to have fixed it during the move however it was left cracked and broken needing to be replaced. They also broke/damaged two mirrors so the bad luck is theirs to own. When we texted to file a claim they left us on read and failed to respond. When we called them, they hung up on us and blocked us. Additionally, they had issues with their bank making processing our check and wiring funds a time consuming headache and frustrating inconvenience as we were attempting to get settled in to our new home. When attempting to resolve this issue they were insulting and unprofessional. Further, when arriving at our moving destination, Mr. Buff was more concerned about beating rush hour traffic than a senior citizen's and pets safety and well being during a stressful time. Additionally they miscalculated the move and had several items, including furniture, strapped to the back of the truck and placed in our personal vehicle to transport the items. We had to leave several items at the old house since they would not fit in their truck. We did not find their behavior or performance to be professional. Moving forward (pun intended) we would not work with Mr. Buff again. * Update to Mr. Buff's response. There was an issue or glitch with Buff's bank account processing our check (we had sufficient funds). The check cleared and was returned to our bank for a reason we do not understand. As a result of this banking error and Buff's threatening demeanor, we immediately contacted the bank, learned we had sufficient funds, attempted to wire the funds via Zelle however there was a $500.00 limit for new contacts. So we had to wire the funds through our bank that included a service fee that was both frustrating, time consuming and caused additional expense on what was already a costly move. Before we could even check with our bank to verify the issue, Buff threatened to call the police on an 89 year old senior citizen falsely claiming fraud. The stress caused by Buff's threats almost sent this senior citizen to the hospital that morning. As far as we know, the issue was with his bank who apologized to us for the inconvenience, stress and trouble. Buff was paid in full that day but he fails to note this in his response to our review. He could not have been paid in full that day if we had insufficient funds as he falsely claims in his dishonest response. Shame on Mr. Buff and his shady team.

Well, only two days later, when it was the scheduled move day, I raced around getting prepared to have them arrive, only to then continue waiting for 6 hours. In- between, I kept attempting to call their business, as well as email them, but no answer/ no show. I suppose I should have paid more attention to the other reviews mentioning the same happening to them. I then got a return email a day later from the lady I had spoken to, saying that I didn't "sign" the estimate. What? Nothing was said about "signing an estimate", it was already agreed to over the phone. It makes me sad to leave anything negative in a review for this company, but this was unfair that I had a whole day wasted simply because the receptionist wanted an email confirmation. Seems really strange to me, and was never anything they had me do the past two times I had used their services. I hope they will reconsider how things are being scheduled.
