Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. I have always taken my husband's and my clothes to them. From basic sweaters to high end garments that need special attention Their prices are great too! I highly recommend Redwood Cleaners! read more

Though on the pricey side (roughly $4.50 a shirt,) these folks at Redwood do a great job. They never crush a button, the cleaning and pressing is perfect, and they can do fast two day service if you need it, though a week is standard. Highly recommend. read more

I have no idea why Redwood Cleaners only has three stars. Everything they've done for me has been perfect--and I'm picky. Whether it's dry cleaning, customer service, or turnaround time, they've been fantastic, professional, and reliable every single time. The two owners are lovely and genuinely care about their work. Their alterations are excellent and reasonably priced. I used to own a high-end womenswear company, so I know good tailoring when I see it. They've altered suits, coats, dresses, and pants--even worked on leather--and their craftsmanship has been flawless every single time. Some of these pieces were very expensive, and they handled them with care and expertise. They'll even will take up a sleeve at the shoulder instead of the sloppy way most alterations people do which is just cut it off and sew buttons back on. I can't recommend Redwood Cleaners highly enough. read more

Brought in 5 shirts. 3 of 5 were new, just needed them pressed, and need to add that the care instructions call for machine wash. Dropped them off, checked my receipt while anticipating the 6-day turnaround for the standard button-down shits, and noticed that the woman placed all three machine washable shirts to be dry cleaned. I'm not a huge fan of chemicals and there was absolutely no reason those shirts needed to be dry cleaned, but I did end up paying $33 for the 6 shirts to be "pressed/laundered.' read more

Nice people, great results, no lost items in my first five years and counting. Love that it's so close to Petaluma Market. Everything I want in a dry cleaner! I wish that Yelp would exclude the reviews of the previous owners redwood cleaners. For new people the low star overall ranking is completely in fair to the great current owners IMHO. read more

Redwood Cleaners provided excellent service. They were friendly, polite, and got my six shirts and a pair of pants done right on time. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was, and to top it off, they fixed a button on a completely different shirt free of charge. Their customer service, with a smile, really stood out. read more

I have been going to Redwood Cleaners for 6 years and they have provided excellent cleaning and friendly, professional service.

Redwood Cleaners is very professional and they always do a great job. I've been a customer for two years. The owners are very kind - a lovely local business to support! read more

Best dry cleaners in Petaluma. Nice staff reasonable prices and located across from Petaluma Market.

I've been taking my cleaning (dress shirts and suits) here since 1997. In all that time I have always had positive experiences - consistently polite, attentive, and good service. My things are always ready when they promise to have them ready and they do a good job with cleaning and pressing them. The family which owns the place is nearly always at the front desk and are ready with a polite hello. As for the complaints about the cost, I'm a bit blown away that you are upset about the prices to get your clothing hand cleaned and pressed. The prices are not that high and I'd rather pay a fair price so that the ladies doing the work can make a decent living. read more

I have been a customer for 15 years. They have been competent, but never friendly. Today, for the first time ever, I brought back a shirt that had stains on it when I got it back from them. They absolutely denied it was their fault and refused to even try to get it clean. I told them I was only asking them to try (not asking them to pay for the shirt); they basically insisted that it was my fault and again refused to try. read more

Oh my, are they good! Downtown location (but they have a yellow "loading zone" right in front so you can dash in and dash out). I have all my shirts cleaned and pressed there, and they are always fantastic. (my wife was always putting my shirts into a "to do" basket for "later"). I love this place! read more

I brought 2 shirts. They charges $24 and did not remove the stains. Poor job and expensive

Heads up - recently a lovely new couple came in as business owners and they do a wonderful job. They're also reasonably priced and so friendly! Def check them out. They've done a good job with the clothes I've brought in. read more

CROOKS! WAYY OVERPRICED DO NOT GO HERE.Worst place ever. I dropped off some clothes to be dry cleaned for work. The 3 shirts I dropped off all came back with some sort of ink on it and the collar and bottom of my sleeves were still dirty. I brought it back and they blamed me for everything. What? I don't use pens at my job so how did they get ink there. I was furious. I demanded a refund on my 3 shirts but since I was wearing one they only refunded 2. I have never experienced such rude ppl. Some old guy from the back came out and even started getting yelling at me that it was all my fault. read more

Used to go to Petaluma quick clean until they retired. Tried Redwood. I wear silk Tommy Bahama shirts at least 360 days a year. They've shrunk 2 shirts in 2 loads (2-3 shirts plus one pants) I go 2 times a week. Never had this happen at Quick Clean. read more

They have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They are rude and very very disrespectful! What you ask for is definitely not what you get! They yelled at my niece and nephews in the store, they made racial remarks! Never coming back here every again!! read more

by far had the most worst experience here of the owner fast talking my staff into a service and not telling her how much it was gonna cost to do it we came in to get 12 table cloths cleaned and he changed us for extra service that brought the total out to $260 and when I spoke to him and explained him that was a mistake he said he will do $100 then went back on his word and then his wife who ever she was decided to yell at me and hung up in my face and was over talking me by far the most insulting experience I've ever he just ruined a alot of bussiness for his self because this service was for a major company and I will not ever step foot back in here I do not reccomend unless you like to be over talked and over charged read more

Since moving north out of the City I have been looking for a cleaners that will can do MEDIUM starch in my business shirts and finally found Redwood Cleaners in Petaluma. They knew exactly how to put that crisp edge in my shirts without the crunchy over starching I seemed to get at others around town. I've never had any issues and love the convenience of the location. Thank you, Thank you! read more

These cleaners ruined my $100 jacket. Although the label said 'Dry cleaning only' and mentioned the material the coat is made of, it was returned to me (after several 'tries) totally ruined. Instead of the one stain on the back, the back, front and sleeves are now full of black specks. Most dry cleaners are skilled enough to notice and assess delicate fabrics to ensure appropriate cleaning methods and will inform you beforehand about possible problems. However, in this case the owner told me, after the coat was ruined, I should go and complain to the manufacturer! He said the issue was the fabric and not the dry cleaning method used. Interesting.... Be ware! V, S. read more

Wow, I needed a shirt just lightly steamed and they charged me $5.95! Their work is sloppy also. And like other reviewers have said, they're very unfriendly. It's feels like they hate their customers. Never going back again. read more

This place is the worst cleaners I've ever been to. They're over-priced and do a poor job. They're difficult to work with, unfriendly and rude. I'll never go back, even though the location is convenient. I'd rather go across town. Just terrible. read more

I took my Husband's $300+ sleeping bag in for dry cleaning. They charged $36. It was inside out in a plastic bag when we got it back. My husband took it out of the plastic and there were large places on the outside were the material was crimped (like the nylon was over heated or something). this covered 1/4th of the outside of the bag. I took it back to show the owners. They awkwardly looked at it without saying anything at all. The double layers of nylon is where the crinkled effect happened and they said something about the material being different? I wasn't. Then they blamed the manufacturer of the bag. I said that we have owned the sleeping bag for 7 years! They just smiled and laughed awkwardly again. I was in shock. I said, "so you don't believe this happened here?" and they said shook there head and smiled. WTF?! To get out of there - I gave them my name and phone number hoping they could redeem themselves as a business. All I ask is that they and the people that work for them take care and pay attention to the items that come in. If something doesn't look right from beginning to end, the customer should know. The fact that it came to them right side out and came back inside out and with a serious flaw, as well as their lack of responsibility I feel this review is a must. Do not support this kind of business! read more
