Don't say tonight.' Daughter: 'Tonight' She was attending the high school rugby senior night and wanted to give leis to her cousins and friends. I was making them in the truck while we were parked at the stadium. 45 minutes total. Thank goodness Candy warehouse came to the rescue on this one. I usually use gumballs but they didn't have the purple we needed. So I opted for chocolate kisses. This worked just as good as the gumballs. We made a total of 7 candy leis with a 4 lb bag. Approximately 400 pieces. Same day order and pick-up. So convenient. Will definitely continue to buy our bulk candies here for all our events!

Chunky bars, prayer candles themed after The Office and Breaking Bad characters, and a host of other items familiar, retro, and new line the displays. My one gripe is this is the kind of store it's fun to browse, but difficult to buy from because everything is so unusual and priced as such. We did buy a few things, honey sticks and some cherry drops. The guy behind the counter was notably humorless, weird for a candy store. I don't know if I've seen Willy Wonka too many times, but I kinda want the people working in a candy store to appreciate the joy of the narrative. This dude barely acknowledged me as we checked out. I think we will likely always visit Blooms when we come to Downtown Carrollton because it's kinda irresistible. It's a novelty store and a good place to find an unusual gift as you sift through the options.

Once in the mall, I headed over to the escalators to go up to the theater when a young man standing outside of the Sweet Factory motioned me over. Drawn by both curiosity and the smell of chocolate, I walked over to talk with him. "We have candy in here that is better than what you can get in the theater...and it's a lot cheaper too". Hmmmm.....I was skeptical, being the Milk Duds fanatic that I am. "Okay, you are on...prove it". This kid (and I mean kid, I don't know if he could even drive yet) proceeded to school me on all things chocolate! And better yet, he let me try one of almost everything! I ended up walking out with a half pound mixture of chocolate dipped brownie bits, chocolate covered almonds and oreo cookies dipped in fudge. As I was paying for the candy, he helpfully reminded me that they sold sodas too, and again they were much cheaper than the movies. I think at that point if he would have told me they had pigs that could fly for sale, I probably would have bought one of those too. The space is small, it's open to regular customers to purchase some of the items such as the candy and popcorn, they can purchase the items at the register which is literally less than 12 feet away from you. For $115 per person, I don't think it's fair that you're practically having a tasting in a candy store. It would have been better if the tasting was in a separate area from where customers couldn't come buy the desserts. The tasting was good and as I said, you could tell time and effort had been put into it, I just feel as though the price does not equate to the experience. As stated below, there are better tastings for a cheaper cost.
