The tiny restroom by far is the best thing about it. Enjoy!

Ok I was a bit too shy to take pix while out with a large team for lunch, but 20 dollars for a tiny app of calamari is a bit much. Frozen seems to be the word of the day i am faily confident the falafel beet burger was made from a frozen patty (I apologize if I am wrong), however the salads looked fairly decent and the service was good. I am afroad of what the final total was. PS I did manage to tske a snap of the restroom, which as a small individual unit was both unique and spectacular. -Zuk

I like the classy decor of this place. Looks very grown up, but know that Reds caters to families as well. The food is american fine dining. Our table had the sirloin steak and the brixton burger with fries w truffle dip. My steak seemed more rare than medium rare. It was thick cut and beautifully seared and seasoned on the outside. Will get medium next time to avoid questionably rawness. The burger is big with 2 thick onion rings inside. It could use crisp lettuce, or maybe opt for a side salad to balance the rich burger. Service is annoying. There was no hostess around to seat us until we had 3 more groups waiting behind us. When one finally showed up, she offered the tiny tables when there were plenty of tables available. I like the round booth tables. I asked the waiter why we couldn't move to a normal size table and he obliged. The resto is v dark, with small spotlights on the table tops. The man at the table next to us kept raising his arm in the darkness trying to get a waiter. Good butter tarts at the pickup window. Overall decent food, tolerable service, nice ambience.

I came here for lunch with a few friends and was just not a fan of the food overall. We ordered the bruschetta and the calamari for appetitizers, and they're probably the only decent thing we had. For my main, I ordered the chicken tinga tacos with a side of fries, and it was super bland. I wasn't getting the flavors I expected from tacos, and the tortilla was super hard. It made it difficult to eat, and even the hot sauce they provided couldn't help rescue the flavor. I asked my friends, who mainly got brunch dishes, and they all said that their potatoes were bland and not even salted. It seems like there was just a lack of flavor overall from every dish. I will probably not come back here in the future, especially since there are other options in square one.

November 12/2022: Dinner with Jason & Diane. Very busy & what appeared to be well cared for restaurant. We started off with Calamari & Beef Sliders. Both tasty but the beef was extra tasty. Very small portions on both, Calamari was $19.00 & Sliders were $17.75. Mine was the Carbonara ($24.95). It was very tasty but again a small portion. It was creamy & I asked for some heat that added to the overall taste. The main issue from my end was the portion size. All we're undersized for what was a rather outsized price tag. Finished off with the mini butter tarts. Delicious & warm but again very small for the $6.00 price tag. Our server Nathaniel was solid, however. Very polite & smiling. Honest with his assessment of the menu as well.

I ordered the fish and it was okay just okay! It lacked season a lot of season! My stars are for my waiter because he was awesome. I had to quickly run to a store before it closed and he watched my stuff for me. Super nice and not what I expected/

Was shopping in Square One and spotted Reds. We had received a giftcard for Christmas and decided to try it out. We lucked out and got the last 2 seats at the bar. We got our own little table which was am extension of the bar and was the best of both worlds (the dining room and bar proximity) For dinner I opted for the shrimp ravioli and my fiance got the mushroom steak. The food was delicious but had its hiccups. The food took about 45min to an hour to come out. Thankfully we had an amazing bartender, who made us yummy drinks and ended up also getting our food. I let him know I like fruity drinks and he suggested getting the Cranberry Yuzu Fizz and then adding alcohol to it. The drink consisted of cranberry, Yuzu puree, sprite and pomegranate. Heads up, adding alcohol to it adds on about 4.50 taking the drink to about 11.50 per drink. It was delicious! When the food came my fiance's food had some issues. He asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare and it came medium well. It came with two sides, he opted for vegetables and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were cold but the vegetables were hot and the mushrooms were delicious. He ate most of it anyways because it had taken so long to get that he was starving. My tortellini on the other hand came hot and cooked perfectly! The toppings gave it an added boost of flavor and the shrimp were also perfection! Overall my pasta and drink were perfection! My fiance enjoyed his wine but his food was lacking. The bartender was amazing and apologized for the wait for our food. He also ended up taking the steak off our bill because even he said that should not have happened. The bartender deserves a raise but the kitchen needs some work.

Always a great meal with fantastic service! The green Curry Bowl was a surprise hit. Burgers are my usual go to. Great birthday lunch! Can't wait to go back.

They have pretty good happy hour drinks! My favourite is the Swedish Paloma and the passion fruit gin & soda, which are both only $4 during happy hour. Love the bar and Chris is an amazing bartender! Always makes me feel so welcomed and he always make sure I get the drink I want haha As for food, they don't have anything on special for happy hour, and they also don't have an extensive menu for food items as well. But I usually go for the steak and frites. Tried the sliders and they were pretty good as well. They come in threes but u can add an extra so you can split equally to share ;) much better experience than my last dinner experience. Stayed away from those desserts lol P.S. if u like spicy mayo, ask for their house-made one. Instead of sriracha, they mix in horseradish. Uniquely delicious!

Just walked pass when we were shopping and thought it was a cute place so we stopped by for some lunch. Wait time wasn't long and easy, we gave our number and got a text shortly. Hostess was friendly and welcoming. Tables were social distanced and we felt very safe. Our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable. Really liked her. Mahi tuna salad Great size and taste. It was light and fresh. Really liked the tuna and the avocado complimented the salad really well. Sweet potato fries (8$) It was tasty, however, not worth 8 dollars. The portion was pretty good but for what it is, i don't think i would order it again as a side. Came with an aioli that tasted pretty good. Lobster sandwich (22$) Pretty good. Not much lobster. It was tasty though. Wish there were a little more lobster as i couldn't even really taste the lobster. Came with a side salad which was nice, pretty filling Overall It was an ok experience. I enjoyed the service and therefore gave it another star. Would recommend but i don't think i would come again as it is pretty similar to milestones or jack astors, not particularly special.

Okay I have been here a few times before so when I came back for dinner last night I was shocked by the poor service. I had a reservation so they knew my party was coming and yet we not waited on at all... had to keep asking for water, my drink came without a straw (so I asked for one) and it eventually started melting by the time my waitress came back with one 15 mins later! Very poor service, the restaurant was full looking so it was a busy night for them but that doesn't excuse the fact that they cannot accommodate a full restaurant. When our food came it was cold, mash potatoes were bland and not warm at all, the veggies were basically raw and my boyfriends Corona came at the end of our meal due to a "15 min wait at the bar" I'm sorry but it takes 2 seconds to open a beer bottle, it's not like he asked for a whole mixed cocktail like mine. This place is super pricey (ended up paying close to $130) for food that was NOT worth it. Trust me and take ur business elsewhere!

Location/Service This restaurant is inside Square One with both a mall and outdoor entrance (near Simons/food court area). It's huge in size that have bar tables, large group settings - perfect for multiple occasions. Decor is a more on the darker ambient vibe. Service was really good - I really liked our waitress - not only was she nice, but she was conversational, made great recommendations and was very friendly. Food/Drinks Wine - came here on a Sunday, which they offer 50% off on all wine bottles! We were recommended a local Cabernet Merlot red wine from Lakeview Cellars Niagara - which to all of our surprise, was not too bitter and easy on the palette. Best deal was it's cheap ($34/bottle before 50% off). As for food, we ordered the Tasting Menu - which is ~$75 that could serve up to 4 people. It comes with 3 mains and 2 sides that you choose. The mains include NY steak, roasted chicken and BBQ pork ribs. All of the meats were great - I like the ribs the most as the meat was tender and broken off very easily. The chicken was a little bit on a drier side for me, but they had sauces available to accommodate. Sides we ordered Truffle Fries and Broccoli and Chedder - both of which are fresh, not too oily/fatty and generous with portion size. We also ordered a Ravioli & Garlic shirmp as an extra main to share. The ravioli was chewy, each filled with a nice chewy stuffing. Shrimps were big in size and with the sundried tomato sofrito made it extra juicy and tasty. Overall I had a first great experience here at Reds. Their prices are reasonable, service and food was great - definitely would come back to try their other menu items.

I had to try Reds ever since I read about the lobster and avocado grilled cheese sandwich. Originally, I planned to go to one in Toronto, but when I found out about this one, I decided to avoid the headache of extra driving and parking downtown. I was seated at a small table next to a mall window so it was hard to forget I was at a mall, but I was also feeling bad about myself that day, and I can't imagine they put anyone too repellent at a seat so many potential diners pass by so that gave me a boost, even if it's all in my head. The restaurant itself is very classy and elegant, but informal enough I didn't feel too out of place even though I was dressed in a tank and jeans and most diners looked like VIPs with their suits and leather laptop bags. It was close to opening so it wasn't very busy, but service still seemed remarkably prompt. Both the hostess and my server Shayne were friendly, and didn't make me feel out of place. Water is served in pretty crystal glasses. I drained mine because I'd been running around Toronto all morning. My food came out not that long after my rose lemonade, which I took the time to savor. It's on the non-alcoholic menu so I worried I'd be drinking something obnoxiously sweet with that weird taste nonalcohol cocktails can have, but it was wonderful. Light and refreshing but fizzy. Not too tart, not too sweet, and the floral accents elevate it. I'd love to come here with my husband because you can also create your own gin drinks. He enjoys gin. I do not. The grilled lobster and avocado cheese sandwich is more creamy than gooey, but has great flavor. I do wish there was a little more avocado. I upgraded to truffle fries. Not my favorite. They add a lot of thyme, which I use on almost every meat I cook, but I don't think it goes as well on potato. At least not with truffle oil. Still I was impressed with my meal overall and would love to come back to try other menu items, and of course enjoy another rose lemonade.

We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.

It's a traditional form of Argentinian barbecue on the open fire. I've tried Brazilian rodizio and Venezuelan arepas but that was near the extent of my Latin American foray so it was exciting to taste the cuisine at this hidden gem. The must-get menu item is their charcoal grilled chicken. It's sort of akin to Portuguese chicken but in comparison the meat here is more juicy and better seasoned. The half chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly smoky flavours, then even tossed in chimichurri sauce. Perhaps greasy yet each meaty bite is satisfying! Honourable mention also goes to their empanadas. A pretty sight: golden baked crust folds over the fresh beef filling, that might be even better by the dozen. And at their price point, I can see why guests generally agree La Parrilla is a 5-star visit. I ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup upon arrival to avoid any wait. Owner Serge was friendly about offering an extra sauce on the side along with chimichurri tossed on the chicken. Definitely get that sauce, as it adds dimensions to the asado / grilled meat. It's not easy for family businesses to operate these days, so I applaud that La Parrilla charcoal churrasqueria continues to offer top notch food from this little plaza.

On their latest mishap, they took an UberEats order (which I was charged for) but when I called to follow up on when it's be ready I was told they weren't doing app orders...then why is your store online in the app? Avoid this place like the plague.
