This is by far one of the best chickens on the charcoal that I've ever had Serge and Fabian do a fantastic job on the grill cooked right in front of you I never disappoint they take care of their loyal customers not many restaurants do that their empanadas are phenomenal but what's more amazing is there welcoming attitude. This is a little hidden gem in Woodbridge I hope more people notice it good job guys keep up the great work

I am a big fan of empanadas, especially the Argentinian ones, so this was a must visit.... Susan Arevalo and her siblings, Claudio and Pedro started the wholesale business making their mother's traditional empanada recipe. Now, the handheld turnovers pay tribute to their Argentinian culture and also the diversity of the city with over 20 different not-so-typical flavors.....from the Spicy Pork and Kimchi, which was inspired by their love for Korean food and the fact that they live in Korea town to the Jerk Chicken, which was added due to Pedro's affinity for spice, there's an empanada for any palate. We loved the dough and the fillings of all the ones we tried...it was a nice place to stop for a snack that you can share with friends. If you drop in, you can choose from any of their daily flavors, but if you want any flavor from their large varied menu, you need to order in advance and they will make it for you. There's a minimum of 3 empanadas of each type per order and a minimum order of 12 for all pre-orders.

This place deserves a solid 6 out of 5 rating. I've visited this spot many times over the last few…read moremonths, tried almost each empanada flavor and never left disappointed. My personal favorites are their Pulled Pork, Ginger Beef, Pickled Jalapeno, Butter Chicken, Roasted chicken, Aloo Gobi and Roasted Mushrooms....basically I love each and everything on their menu. If you swing by make sure you get their alfajores cookies- I've tried at a few places and trust me, theirs are out of this world ...get at least 6 to savor! They also make awesome gifts!

The layout of the restaurant is really nice, feeling modern. Personally, for myself, I was not a fan of the dish I went with. I had ordered the pan-roasted chicken and it was flavourless. It seemed as though only salt and pepper were added to the chicken before being roasted. The mushrooms and sauce tasted as if someone dumped black pepper in it. My girlfriend enjoyed her dish as she got the garlic prawn ravioli. The dish presentation for the Garlic Prawn Ravioli was certainly lacking as the plating seemed to be rushed. For the price point you pay, I expected much more from this restaurant.

Troy, the server was very friendly and quick to bring anything we asked for but could've been a little more attentive (ie notice when the table was lacking water and other drinks). We started with the spinach and artichoke dip that came with chips and a little cup of pico de gallo. Honestly, the dip wasn't that great. I think this is the first time we order a spinach dip and didn't finish it. The main courses were much better though. I went with the spaghetti Alfredo with steak - the pasta was delicious but the steak was a tad undercooked for my liking - tasty though! I only took pics of my own, however there were good reviews of all the dishes around the table! Among those were steak and frites, steak and mashed potatoes, salmon romesco, chicken pesto club. Finally, we got churros (4) for dessert and I love that they came with different dipping sauces and we didn't have to choose just one (chocolate and raspberry sauces and vanilla mouse).

We asked for a simple dietary consideration and it was totally ignored. When we brought it to their attention, the chef just shrugged his shoulders and said it was a mis-communication. There's paid street parking on both sides of the street. I did read a review that there's complimentary parking behind the restaurant though. Mai Bistro has a small patio out front that's covered and indoor seating as well. We opted to sit on the patio. Since it was our first time at the restaurant the waitress explained the various menus to us. There was a written menu for Today's Specials and some of them were crossed out. I'm guessing that those items have already sold out. I saw a photo of the menu from a couple of years ago and in comparing with the menu from the other day I can see that prices have increased for some dishes. To me, prices veer on the higher side. The grilled lemongrass pork with rice and asian slaw was $22 and the shrimp ceviche with fresh salsa and avocado on a crispy tortilla was $11. My Vietnamese style pork tacos were a good deal for $10. Even at the regular price of $14 the price isn't too different from tacos at other restaurants. The pork was flavourful and portions are like what I found from food trucks in LA (but leave you wanting more).
