Vito Tile Depot was one of the few stores we went to that has tile on site as well as a show room rather than just a show room. They have close out tile for as little as $2/square foot as well as high end pieces like the other fancy show rooms. My favorite part of Vito Tile Depot was that they actually have prices on most of their tile so you don't have to ask for prices on every piece you MIGHT be interested in. There was a very friendly girl who greeted my husband and I when we walked in then Vito came out to introduce himself and offer us espresso. Don't waste your time going to the stores with fancy show rooms where you'll get the exact same tile but for much higher prices than what Vito Tile Depot has to offer!

We were delighted with the speed with which the job was scheduled. The weather caused a slight delay but they finished quickly and left no mess behind! He showed up on time, his crew was respectful of my property, he communicated every step of the way, took photos, and even went above at beyond by being the middle man for me with my adjustor and insurance company. I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

If you've worked with a lot of folks in the trades, this is very much the exception to the rule, and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Lou quickly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the details and a date, we were off and running. We had some damage and discoloration on our white oak floors, and we wanted to sand and refinish them. Lou was helpful as we got together the paperwork my building required to get it done. On the agreed upon day, his guys showed up on time, and while they weren't the excellent communicators that he is (their English wasn't great), they were conscientious and obviously knew what they were doing. Lou said the work would take 1-2 days, and they were done in just a day. We had a minor hiccup after the fact, but Lou immediately investigated the issue, and handled it well. I'll definitely be going straight to Buono's next time I need any flooring work done.
