The Stone Shop saved the day…read more We were in the middle of renovating our bathroom when our contractor informed us that the 5' long X 3" wide marble saddle under the shower door was too narrow and we needed to get a 5 inch wide one right away. We tried to find one on-line, we went to Lowes and Home Depot, and we could not find one that matches what we need, and the contractor needed it ASAP. We remember THE STONE SHOP did our kitchen last year so we called and Ashley told us to come over right away and pick out a slab we like and she will have it cut to the right size for us. We went there at 11 am and selected one that matches our wall tile color and Ashley said she will have a piece cut out to our specification by 3pm. We went back at 3pm that same afternoon and the piece was all ready for pick-up, all polished to perfection. We brought it back home and the contractor installed it right away. They were incredible in thinking out of the box to help us out. I cannot thank them enough for saving the day. They were friendly, accommodating, and affordable. They did not jack up the price just because it was an emergency. They will bend over backward to help you out. Thank you Ashley and Frank for making life so much easier for us.

I placed mine around 10-10:30 AM. By 7:10 PM, the tracking still showed "preparing order," and although the virtual assistant eventually connected me to the Union store, the phone rang for 15 minutes with no answer. The next morning, I called again and learned the order was just sitting there because no driver accepted the delivery. The associate stated Lowe's uses an Uber‑style system for same-day large building materials as well, which makes no sense. I offered to send a representative to pick up the order myself but was then told the entire order had been switched to the Paterson store because one item wasn't in stock. No notice, no communication. Paterson is too far, so I canceled everything. A second order for cabinet hardware was also mishandled. Cabinet hinges were sent to a Staten Island lockbox, and the cabinet handles were canceled because they weren't actually in stock. The website should clearly show "out of stock" or "not available at this location." The website, ordering system, logistics, and tracking are all poorly structured. Shoppers beware. I will be placing my order with Home Depot instead.
