You first drive in a line to the course (Hells Revenge- and get some history), complete a practice course, then drive into the real deal. If you're an adventure seeker, you're going to love this! If you're scared of heights or get a little queasy, just know the angles are no joke. At some points, it genuinely felt like we were at a 45° angle. There isn't a ton of training beforehand, and they really just give you the basics you need to know. If you're someone who's comfortable figuring things out as you go, you'll probably love it. If you need a lot of guidance, it could feel a little intimidating. I first reached out to Redtail in April 2022 with various questions about getting a charter from Durango to Moab in October 2022. I was nervous about the idea of booking a charter, in part because I didn't want to get stranded in Durango and miss an important event we had planned in Moab. Amanda was so incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions when I first booked our flight in April and all of my questions over the next six months. Amanda immediately gave me confidence in flying with Redtail and she was helpful in pointing me towards options for rental cars. When the day of our flight came Barbara picked us up in Durango. Barbara was welcoming, friendly, entertaining and most importantly a safe pilot. She even helped us load our luggage in our car which I thought was very kind. While she safely navigated from DRO to CNY she gave us some recommendations for what to see and where to eat in Moab and she pointed out some sights too. We loved that she pointed our Corona Arch because we hiked up to that arch later that afternoon. We really enjoyed our flight with Barbara! In addition to doing charter flights, Redtail Air Adventures specializes in scenic tours over Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Redtail also does river shuttles such as dropping or picking up people who are going to hike, bike or raft somewhere in the wilderness and they need a one-way ride. Fortunately an airport worker suggested that I call Joe at VooDoo Air. Joe was nothing shout of amazing and was able to help me get my loved ones ashes deposited in the exact place I requested for a fare price. Bad weather did postpone the project for a couple of days and Joe the owner assured me that when the weather cleared we would finish the project. As a person that has lived in Moab for decades I don't know how I wasn't aware of Voodoo Air? They are truly a Moab treasure and I will recommend them to everyone in the future. Tubing down the Colorado River was one of the best experiences of my life!…read more I opted for the 3-4 hour float, starting at 12pm on a Saturday in Mid September. I feel like we got extremely lucky because no one else was on our float and we didn't even see anyone out on the river. For us, it was like a private tubing float down the most epic river ever. It was truly breathtaking from the moment you start until you end. Next time I'm in the area, I'm going on a longer float because it was THE BEST TIME!!! The current is perfect, the water is great, the tubes are comfy! Also, Trevyn (I believe his name was) was our driver to the drop off location at the start and he was fantastic!! He was a spectacular guide while driving us to our spot, you can tell from his vast experience of the area. Overall, I LOVE this company, I LOVED my tube experience, and I will be back!

The custom open-top tour van is an incredible way to experience the park. Most vehicles leave you craning your neck to see the tops of the massive rock walls and arches, but having the open roof and panoramic visibility made all the difference. Looking straight up at towering sandstone formations and big desert skies while cruising down the park road provided unobstructed views and phenomenal photography angles you simply cannot get from a regular car or standard tour bus. The cool evening breeze as golden hour rolled in made the ride remarkably comfortable. What elevated the experience even further was our tour guide, Dane. Being originally from Georgia, he brought genuine Southern warmth, easygoing charm, and outstanding hospitality to the entire excursion. We thought we would have to miss our balloon flight as we did not have a ride to the launch site. Lou contacted us in the early morning prior to the flight and offered a ride from one of his drivers.
