We had a fantastic helicopter ride the other day. The pilot, Michael Fowler, was great. The flight was so smooth, and he knew everything about everything in the area. Super good time in the air. Also, we had our dog, Kate, with us. Tristan, the guy at the front desk, took great care of her while we were in the air. My family decided to take the 30-min helicopter tour as our grand finally before leaving Moab, Utah. We traveled here from California to enjoy outdoor adventures. Our helicopter ride was the Pinnacle of our trip and outdoor adventures. We drove UTV's off-road at Hell's Revenge, zip-lined Ravens Rim & went rafting down the Colorado river. The helicopter ride gave the most majestic views of the scenery throughout Moab. Ben, the owner and pilot was a great tour guide. He had a personable demeanor and was funny as well. He handled the chopper with great precision and provided us with an extremely smooth flight. This is a must try adventure for anyone wanting to get a different perspective and see the amazing scenery Moab has to offer. read more

My friend and I were visiting Moab for a few days and decided to book a tour with Pinnacle. The tour we choose was called "Scenic Helicopter Tour: Edge of Canyonlands Extended (60 minutes)" Two days before our trip, we received a call from the office. Pinnacle wanted to see if we could reschedule due to an upcoming high winds forecast. Pinnacle was super flexible working us into the schedule a day earlier than we had originally planned. We ended up being the last tour of the day on a Sunday evening just before sunset. There was plenty of parking at the heliport. We checked-in to the office where we were weighed on a scale for the weight and balance of the helicopter. You are able to take snacks and a bottle of water to the helicopter if needed. After some short conversation and restroom break, we were introduced to our pilot Jake. Jake walked us out to the helicopter where we he gave us a short safety briefing and got us setup with headsets. You are able to ask questions and chat with your pilot over the headsets. The helicopters are well maintained and comfortable. I appreciated the air conditioning. We soon found ourselves in the air with Jake pointing out the features around us as we flew over the surrounding landscape. Although some airspace is restricted, such as the national parks, we were able to see a lot of the local highlights including some arches. Jake was friendly and patient as he answered our questions throughout the flight. I thought the 60 minute flight was about right. If you end up going for a shorter flight, I am sure you'll still see plenty. After we landed back at the heliport, Jake offered to take a ton of photos of us with the helicopter in the background. It was a great overview of the Moab area. I recommend taking our lead and doing the helicopter tour as an introduction to your visit. read more

What an amazing time - spend the extra money and stay up as long as you can. This husband and wife team makes visitors completely at home, and inspires confidence. I had never been in a copter before and I don't like heights, but Ben the pilot was engaging and skilled, as well as full of information on the area you won't get from travel brochures. We flew July 6th, and if they had not been taking a few days off we may well have come back the next day to do it again. I'll say it again - do NOT try to save money on a once in a lifetime experience; book them for as long as you can. read more

HOLY CRAP. Seeing moab from this bird was INCREDIBLE! If you travel to MOAB and you don't look them up and take a tour you're a moron. Seriously this was phenomenal, the pilot was amazing and hilarious as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. Supporting a small local business that's owned by a husband and wife team was the icing on the cake. I wish we could do it again tomorrow! But we got big Jeep plans! Months later I still find myself grinning when I think about my fantastic helicopter flight over Utah. The pilot, Ben, strikes the perfect balance between professional and engaging, putting this nervous flyer entirely at ease. We flew into Moab Airport and walked straight to Pinnacle Helicopters for a canyoneering / camping excursion at Blue John canyon. The owner/pilot, Ben Black was one of the friendliest guys you could ever meet. They truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome and safe during the trip, even storing our luggage for us overnight while we camped. The canyon itself was incredible. It is similar to the popular tourist trap, Antelope Canyon, but without the hoards of visitors elbowing you for prime viewing positions. In fact, the nearest person to us was likely over 20 miles away, in every direction. This place is remote! We rappelled and hiked 10 miles with a great guide, Alex and then climbed up on top of a plateau to camp overnight under the stars. Ben picked us up early the next morning right on time. If you are an adventure seeker looking for a unique experience off the beaten path, I highly recommend this experience. read more

Used their website to book tour 24hrs in advance. Secured booking with credit card, selected time and provided contact info. One hour before our tour I called to verify flight was a go. Was told at that time there was no pilot for our tour. No email or phone call previous to this to notify us. We did however get a confirmation email saying if we cancelled less then 24hrs in advance we would be charged the full amount by Pinnacle. Guess I couldn't cancel but he had no problem doing it. Not a very professional way to do business. If your tour is not available your website should indicate so. read more
