They called to confirm the order which made it more convenient and puts you at ease. Always a great experience. Owner is prompt and very communicative. They have last minute orders as well which is super convenient. It's a home based business that brings out the items to your car but also have a delivery option for a small fee. My dog is a big Frenchie and their small cake was plenty. Prices are very reasonable.

Update for 2022! They still deliver ! I love that they offer Venmo or zelle! Super easy and convenient! My dog pudgy couldn't get through the song without trying out his cake ! When I was preparing for my puppy's birthday party, I started doing some research for dog cakes and treats. I found Redondo Dog on Yelp and asked them about sized and pricing. I got a response very quickly and was able to get a cake and a couple treats ordered within a day or so for the next day. The dogs LOVED all of the treats. The best and super convenient! When I inquired about their services, Mark responded back to my request and helped me arrange a cake delivery for my little one who turned 7 years old. I bought a doggy cake from a place in Long Beach last year but had to go to the shop, place the order, and pick it up myself on the day I needed it. But the convenience of Redondo Dog is that their prices are very reasonable and they provide free delivery services to our areas. My dog loved the cake and ate the majority of it in record time! Established in 1999.

Redondo Dog is a family owned and operated business, originally called Kool Dog Kafe. What started as a dog bakery and dog boutique quickly expanded to include dog grooming and eventually dog walking services. Owners Mark and Azalea, husband and wife, were drawn to the pet industry for their connection with dogs and their passion for sharing this joy with others. Redondo Dog has come a long way and adapted to the changing environment but its family roots remain the same. Update July 2016: We have closed our physical location. We are now offering FREE same-day delivery for all birthday cake and treat orders! We continue to offer dog walking in the south bay area. The grooming salon has been relocated. Update June 2020: Curbside pickup is available in Carson. I accept Venmo @redondo-dog, cash, or check payable to Redondo Dog. Thank you!

Meet the Business Owner: Mark and Azalea F.

Mark and Azalea were just friends in middle school but years later they connected on Facebook and became husband and wife. They were drawn to the pet industry for their connection with dogs and their passion for sharing this joy with others. Mark was helping out part time as a teenager in the boutique and the grooming salon with his mother. Mark had such a great time, he decided to take on Redondo Dog as a full-time venture as soon as he graduated high school. Many of their clients witnessed Mark grow over the years from a teen to an adult. Azalea, who was focused on her children and career in the fitness industry, realized her fondness towards animals at an early age. She now channels her enthusiasm into dog walking and assistance in the grooming salon in her spare time. Mark and Azalea were married in 2013 and have started a growing family of their own, including children and pets.

They said and I asked "how much", they said $20. That's a reasonable amount considering. I get there, there were no seats to wait. Not one person greeted me as they went about doing their business. The waiting/standing room area was about a 4 feet by 5 feet open space right in front of the entrance. A man came with shears and I was thinking that they would take my dog inside, but no!! This man positioned himself To start cutting while he told me to hold the leash. Of course my dog would react as she looked up at me asking for help. First snip, he cuts the quick and yells for a lady to bring whatever powder they use to stop the bleeding. Second snip, and then more snipping. Cut the quick 4 FOUR times. No remorse no comforting my dog. Just snipped and dipped for the bleeding. This happened right in front of the door where another man was standing while I also stood and held the leash. Guy said "done". I asked "are you not going to file them coz they're rough?" And he replied "no" turned away and walked inside. Here's the kicker - this place is CASH ONLY!!! The sign was not even noticeable until the girl pointed it to me when I was handing her my debit card. They took my dog inside as I needed to get cash. Why didn't they take her in when trimming the nails? Of course they took her inside for security thinking I would skip out on paying them $20. This was the worst experience for me and my dog.

We dropped him off at 9 am they said they closed at 3pm. We were home napping . They sent text messages saying if we didn't pick up our dog we were getting charged an additional $25. Its not posted anywhere that additional charges was an option. Our first time using them as we get our dog groomed every 3 weeks so not much to do but clean up. $90 for such little work and small dog. Our dogs rear end still had hair that was not trimmed. We were given high recommendations from our family but we will most likely go back to our groomer its worth the travel time.

Stale bakery items on multiple occasions. My dog wouldn't eat them any of the times. I'm not sure how long their baked items sit in the display but I won't buy the baked items again. Wanted to return for a refund but no returns accepted for a refund. I ended up baking dog cookies at home which were fresh and soft. My dog loved baking at home and now I have a new recipe up my sleeve for dog treats. We celebrated my pups birthday with a pack of dogs and I shared my own baked dog cookies which I decorated myself. I made it more fresh and special. No more baked items from KoolDog for us. read more

Called with super short notice for a cake - usually, I bake them on my own, but didn't have time for this particular birthday. Mark was very friendly, and I was able to pick up a cute cake (small size) within a few hours. The process was really easy and price reasonable. This was an amazing shop dedicated to dogs!! I loved stopping by and seeing all the treats, cakes, clothes, leashes, beds and more. The groomer and staff were incredible as well.
