UPDATE APRIL 29, 2026: REJECTED DONATIONS LEAVE ME DEJECTED I'm downgrading my rating of Redmond Goodwill from four stars to two stars because I had recently been told that they no longer accept e-waste electronics, except for computers, printers, TVs, and related electronics. But small appliances like microwaves, blenders, lamps, etc. that are not working or incomplete are no longer accepted as scrap. Likewise for scrap metal and plastic hangers. DELAYED REJECTION ENFORCEMENT = CHAOTIC/DISORGANIZED HANGER HANGUP I donated to this Goodwill literally hundreds of times over several years. They had always accepted all manner of scrap electronics, scrap metal, and all clothes hangers. When I tell them that, I'm told this had been the policy for some time, but only now they're beginning to enforce this "new" policy. This is not the first time this has happened. Also I was told hangers should be organized according to the various types of hangers. Huh? I see donations piled high and deep on either side of the two donation lanes in no particular order. And also they load up those blue carts in no particular order. And now they expect everything to be organized, or just hangers? LET US KNOW ON SITE, NOT JUST ON YOUR WEBSITE Now I will have to find someplace else to get rid of scrap small appliances, scrap metal, and plastic hangers, to keep them from going to the landfill. Though it is good that they spell out what they accept and do not accept on their website, it also would be very helpful to stick a sign out where they post their donation hours saying "we are no longer accepting (fill-in).", and leave it there for a while. read more

A lot of namebrand bargains a lot of good item finds there's always a line waiting for it to open every day and let me tell you the prices are very high considerably compared to a lot of other Goodwill's. I mean it's always nice to take the time and search for the special color of the day and it's easy to locate and the customer service and the cashiers are all really nice. The items are great, but definitely on the overpriced side. I think they're really taking advantage of the area that we're living in because in other areas the prices are not so high for the same items. read more

I love shopping at Goodwill. It's eco-friendly and pro-social, plus you can often find some pretty great stuff. I love that they do the tag sales--that is not a thing in all parts of the country--and I especially loved finding a cute shirt that was the right tag color for 30% off. Winning! There's plenty of parking at this location, and it is clean and spacious. There are lots of dressing rooms, which is a plus, and the service is efficient and helpful. Love it! read more

This Goodwill is better than the Ballard one, but still just lacks every time I go in here. It is better spaced out for sure, and they do well keeping the store fairly organized which I think is great but little things just make it just average here. The pet section is always just sad looking. A bunch bowls and carriers just thrown over there, sometimes with no prices on them. Lots of items they really take the "as is" a bit literally, just dirty things that could at least be rinsed off. Things are expensive. I saw a comforter that was $20. It had nice design but wow, it's still used. I could get a brand new one from Target about the same (just looked). Shoes that are $20 that are let's say "well worn". No tag sales? Lots of thrift stores do a particular color per day where that sticker price is discounted. I haven't seen that here for some reason. Lastly, the customer service to me is just flat. My most recent visit I don't even think the guy said anything to me except that the item I got was not refundable. No hello, no thanks for coming to Goodwill, have a nice day...not even the price of the item after ringing it, he just pointed. Thanks, better than nothing, I guess. read more

This is the look of the new Goodwill stores, attracting a variety of customers (including those who would normally shop for clothes at consignment shops like Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads). It also has a large selection of furniture. Gone are the days of bargain hunting where designer jeans like Frame and Paige would be priced and placed similarly to other jeans like Wrangler or Lees. Now the Goodwill pricers know their brands...even if it doesn't have a dedicated designer item section (like in Santa Monica, CA), high-end brands will be priced appropriately. And there are brand new items as well...frankly I'm surprised that more manufactures don't donate their overproduced products to Goodwill instead of sending it to places like Big Lots. This place reminded me of a large consignment shop or an outlet branch of major high end department stores. It also has a series of checkout lines, similar to how Marshall's does it. On this particular day, it was a 'Treasure Trove of Travis' Mathew polos...great gifts for the upcoming holidays (not just as a place to get your ugly sweaters for the office party). read more

To start, I love Goodwills and I love visiting new ones anytime I visit a new place. Pros: - Big, lots of items that seem in good quality. Cons: - No bike rack outside. Not even any poles to lock a bike too. And people mean mug you when you bring your bike inside. (Not sure where they expect people to put their bikes otherwise ‍) - Everything other than clothes seems to be treated as an afterthought. Dirty and unorganized. This wouldn't be weird cause some Goodwills are just like that, but it stood out since the clothes were kept so organized and clean. - They "found something in the vents" when I went. Everyone in the store was coughing and struggling to breathe. When asked what they found, the workers said "they are investigating it". I appreciate that they eventually started handing out face masks, but the store should've been closed for everyone's safety. I'm still coughing and have an itchy throat an hour later. read more

Seems like they know nothing about brands except that they want to overcharge since thrifting is now "trendy." While thrifting is fun, it is also supposed to make clothes more accessible to the general public, and low-income folks. It is also better for the environment and overcharging tends to drive consumption down. I do not like that they take advantage of its current popularity. read more

We came here because we figured nice neighborhood, nice stuff donated. Good will isn's always the cheapest place to get something. They had something I was looking for, Tie Me Knots, which is a device that keeps your shoes tied without using laces. It sells the same as it costs as Amazon, but in this case I guess you're saving the cost of shipping. They also had a nice big caribeener for $6.99, but you can get that same one at Harbor Freight Tools for $3.99. Even though some things weren't a great value, we did get a big score. My mom found a Lafayette 148 sweater jacket and it was priced at $50. She thought it cost too much but when my sister saw it she freaked out and said it actually retails for about $500, so Scoooooore!!!! Wish I could leave negative amount of stars. Every employee I encountered was legitimately so rude and could barely function. I wanted to buy a table and 4 chairs which were separate and the employee that gave me the ticket wrote table and chairs together on the ticket with the price. I paid and waited for them to bring the table out and when I asked where the chairs were the guy started yelling at me that I didn't pay for the chairs. Then got the cashier I checked out with and they were both yelling so rudely in my face like I was an idiot. I had to put my hand out to get them to step back and told them to stop being so aggressive, this wasn't my mistake, I'm happy to pay for the chairs but all I did was take the ticket that your employee gave me. It was truly the most insane interaction over something so small and made me feel so uncomfortable they way they treated me, Then they proceeded to take a ridiculous amount of time to get the chairs and the new cashier was so flustered she could hardly ring them up. Then have the audacity to ask if I want to donate to the job training program- no amount of money would help those employees be trained better, they all lack basic communication skills. read more

The store is clean and organized. The cashiers are wonderful. Their prices used to be very affordable. The reason many of us shop at thrift stores is to save money. Not everyone flips items on EBay. It is too bad that they have increased their prices to EBay prices. Their prices are too high. I rarely shop here these days. I used to shop here at least once every two weeks or so. Now it's at most once every six months. I do not recommend. Unless you like high price tags. read more

This store is pretty organized. That's probably the only positive thing. There prices are ridiculous. I mean they had a pair of RIPPED lululemon pants for $49.99. Anything Nike was not going to be below $24.99. Zella items $24.99+. Which in many cases BRAND NEW items directly from Nike, or Zella and even lulu go on sale for cheaper then the goodwill store. I mean thrifting for some people is because they have to and regular stores like Nordstrom rack can be intimidating and they probably think out of budget. This review is specifically to drop off donated items. Goodwill - Redmond has moved just down the street from its former location that was in a busy business strip. It's for the best, since parking was hectic at times. Now, parking isn't so much the issue. Also, since I came here to donate goods, it was nice that they have a line like at Value Village, just for donations. Kind of like a drive-thru service, you follow the line to the side of the building where the employees and bins are were. But, it's not as organized as Value Village. There were random bins, as well as larger items that were just stacked on the road, so it was a little confusing to figure out what goes where. All of the bins were full too. Staff is there to monitor and in case you need a tax exempt slip, but will not help you unload like at VV. Overall, it's a fine experience and is there for when I need to get rid of items after spring cleaning. read more

If I could give NO stars I would! We were there last Sunday and we called ahead to see if they would take a desk. We were told "Yes!" and we headed over. We're moving soon and are downsizing. We had a solid oak, executive desk with a return and hutch. There's also a light under the hutch and a bulletin board. We simply don't have room for it in our new home. We loaded it into our trailer, and ratchet strapped it down for safety. It was a scary ride over but we made it. Now, to be fair, the temperature was about 90 degrees and we were exhausted and I'm sure they were too. We pulled up and there was one small young man there to unload. As my 72 year old husband was removing the straps he told the young man that these three pieces were solid oak and heavy, so he would need to get some help. The young man took the hutch off, then said he wasn't taking anything else. He didn't call for assistance-he just dismissed us and said it wasn't in good condition. What??!! We told him we called ahead and now were were being told they have the right to refuse based on THEIR estimate of condition. I said, "Sure it needs some sandpaper and stain".....I was cut off and told "We are not in furniture repair". Oh my goodness! It's a beautiful piece of furniture. When I was younger, I'd seek out stuff like this to refinish and beautify from garage sales, and places like this. EVERYTHING WORKED. $20 in sandpaper and stain and some elbow grease, would have produced an amazing piece for an executive office. (and lots of storage too!) We were treated horribly and were asked to leave, "No means No", and if we didn't leave they threatened two seniors with having the police come and escort us off their property. We pulled ahead, after taking back the hutch part, and pulled to the side to re-secure all pieces to the trailer for safe transporting. While we were doing this, a guy AGAIN harassed us and told us to leave. I lost it at that point and yelled for permission to PLEASE let us strap our load down safely! He was SO rude! (He had a long beard and identified himself as the store manager.) The men out at the donation staff here are rude, disrespectful and clearly on some sort of power trip. As I said, we're downsizing so needed to get rid of this. So, for the future generation who blames our generation for filling landfills, why don't you get creative and try to see beyond some scratches and preserve things you can't get anymore! I give them zero stars for customer service and zero stars for vision, professionalism and respect. There are other donation centers. Redmond is not the one to go to! read more

I mean, it's Goodwill. I don't expect much. I don't really visit Goodwill stores that much, so I can't really compare. But this location is convenient for me, large parking lot, and I can quickly stop by, see if there any cheap toys, get in and get out. Toy section is pretty messy, which is both bad and good. Bad because..well it's messy. Good because, if you dig around, you might find something worth getting that's hidden beneath tons of other junk. I don't really visit the other sections. read more

Shop local, keep stuff alive. Shop thrifts, support training for less fortunate and save things from going to the landfill. Goodwill is a corporation(nonprofit) that has a huge heart and is doing the right thing. Each location has a different vibe and product base, dependent on the local economy and clientele whom donate and shop. The Redmond location is very close to tech giants. The people around here donate many high end clothes that have been barely worn. I updated my wardrobe to very nice peices that are more 'me' for a fraction of what i would have spent at retail or amazon(sometimes I think they are becoming evil!). My shopping experience at Goodwill in Redmond was decent. I liked how they sorted out some of the designer clothing and specific brands into a section at the front of the store. The store was clean and the used clothing on the racks was in good condition. I would highly recommend Goodwill as a place to donate your used clothing and household goods. According to CharityWatch (as of 9/17/2018), Goodwill spends 89% of its expenses on charitable programs. The remaining 11% was spent on overhead, which includes fundraising, and management & general. If you have been donating your used clothing and other household items to Value Village because you think it will help nonprofit charitable organizations, think again. The Washington Attorney General filed suit in Dec 2017 claiming that "no portion of Value Village in-store sales benefits its charity partners, and contrary to Value Village's marketing, for years, some types of donations - including furniture and housewares - did not benefit charities at all." The Value Village Web site has widespread mention of its ties to multiple nonprofit charitable organizations, but nowhere on the site did I see any mention of how much it actually donates to charitable organizations. This is my take, but please do review the facts to make your own decision. read more

The prices here have gotten out of control to put it nicely. Not sure when paying $12-15 for a shirt and $20+ for used pants was a thing at thrift stores. They actually sell USED Kirkland (Costco) jeans for more than what you pay at Costco ($13.99). Aside from the horrendous pricing the store is clean and well organized for the most part. read more
