This Goodwill is better than the Ballard one, but still just lacks every time I go in here. It is better spaced out for sure, and they do well keeping the store fairly organized which I think is great but little things just make it just average here. The pet section is always just sad looking. A bunch bowls and carriers just thrown over there, sometimes with no prices on them. Lots of items they really take the "as is" a bit literally, just dirty things that could at least be rinsed off. Things are expensive. I saw a comforter that was $20. It had nice design but wow, it's still used. I could get a brand new one from Target about the same (just looked). Shoes that are $20 that are let's say "well worn". No tag sales? Lots of thrift stores do a particular color per day where that sticker price is discounted. I haven't seen that here for some reason. Lastly, the customer service to me is just flat. My most recent visit I don't even think the guy said anything to me except that the item I got was not refundable. No hello, no thanks for coming to Goodwill, have a nice day...not even the price of the item after ringing it, he just pointed. Thanks, better than nothing, I guess.

This is the look of the new Goodwill stores, attracting a variety of customers (including those who would normally shop for clothes at consignment shops like Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads). It also has a large selection of furniture. Gone are the days of bargain hunting where designer jeans like Frame and Paige would be priced and placed similarly to other jeans like Wrangler or Lees. Now the Goodwill pricers know their brands...even if it doesn't have a dedicated designer item section (like in Santa Monica, CA), high-end brands will be priced appropriately. And there are brand new items as well...frankly I'm surprised that more manufactures don't donate their overproduced products to Goodwill instead of sending it to places like Big Lots. This place reminded me of a large consignment shop or an outlet branch of major high end department stores. It also has a series of checkout lines, similar to how Marshall's does it. On this particular day, it was a 'Treasure Trove of Travis' Mathew polos...great gifts for the upcoming holidays (not just as a place to get your ugly sweaters for the office party).

Rainbow Brite toy for $9.99 and probably worth $100 or so.

Updating to 4 stars as service at the drop off area has improved. Appears staffing has been increased and received training.

No "Hello, can I get your client number please?" Nothing, so I feel like I missed the beginning of the conversation, which gets them even more rude because I'm like, "I'm sorry I didn't get that," and they're like, "you're supposed to have your client number ready, call back when you have it ready!" Like woah, I had it ready, you didn't start the call with a greeting, you just blurted out a demand for my number when I've been dissociated for 15 min because of the terrible hold music! Then if I make a request for a ride and it's 1 fucking hour from being 48 hours in advanced, they're like, "nope can't do it, it's not within 48 hours, you'll have to cancel that appointment, what's the next ride you need to request?" or like some of the employees say I can request 3 rides and some say I'm only allowed 2, I never know how many I'm allowed to request, if I ask for more than 2 some are like" oh yeah sure, we do 3," and some are like, "we never allow more than 2" and get pissy about it, so I feel horrible needing help even though I have sometimes up to 5 appointments a week (I'm broken, ok) they need to they need to retrain their staff in empathy and politeness. I won't leave reviews on the drivers part because that's not hopelinks fault that's the fault of the company they enlist to drive for them.

Four pairs of dogs and their humans came, all female handlers, three male dogs and one female. Didn't catch all the names and exact breeds, but I did get to visit with each of them for a little bit. The dogs' names were Lucky, Harley, Meli (which means "Honey" in Hawaiian) the Goldendoodle and Gorder (sp?). They were each super sweet and very well-behaved, and my mood improved for sure. They were happy to sit, lie down, receive pets and give licks. Such good bois and girl doggos! Wish they could stay longer, or come back soon! Dog ages ranged from around 4 to 7 years old, with some as therapy animals already for 1-5 years.
