Redlight is the perfect little bar to start (or end) a romantic date. With its exposed brick walks, conversation-worthy art, and subtle lighting I can't think of a better place in the area for a tasty beverage with your sweetie. The food offerings are slim (but original in the form of yummy homemade bar snacks), so don't count on a meal here, but they are doing amazing and interesting things with craft cocktails. Don't see what you're craving on their ever-changing bar menu? Just talk to the bartender and he'll come up with something to your liking. Oh and if you like gin 'n tonics they make a great one here. The dirty vodka martini is no slouch either. read more

Was there yesterday, food was mediocre and served cold. The waitress was rude. I will never go there again

I've been coming in here for a few years now and for some reason I've never reviewed it. Maybe half of the reason is because I kind of like that it's a hidden secret. It doesn't look like a gem from the outside, but when you walk in and take a sip of a tasty beverage, your heart will forever reside a little bit in this bar. Too far? Maybe, but they have damn good concoctions. Pros? Mooooood lighting hardcore. Bring a date here. Get romantic. Just do it. Great "red room" for a get together with a bigger group of friends Plenty of seating for different types of parties The bartenders know their shit. Just sayin Grilled cheese! With a side of pickles. What's not to like? The blonde red head and ten bells... they're two of my favorites Check out the drink book (it looks like a massive magical old spell book retrieved from a castle with a dragon and a princess) Happy hour is $2 off pretty much everything! Cons? Sometimes the vibe in here can be kind of weird The prices are a bit high, but that's because they make their own infusions... it's worth it, but hard for us poor folks ;-) No fans = holy shit it gets hot and humid sometimes read more

This is the best restaurant in Bellingham. The food is a delicious surprise in a sea of subpar restaurants and the cocktails are amazing. Their music selection is always on point and the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. read more

I had the best time at the Redlight, the food and drinks were amazing. Definitely have Deanna be your server if possible 'Cause she's my best friend, she's my pal. She's my homeboy, my rotten soldier. She's my sweet cheese. My good-time boy. 10/10 read more

What a delicious discovery!! I can't even think of the last time I had such flavorful food. Our waiter made us fancy NA drinks for dry January ("Postal Service") that were so complex and satisfying we didn't miss the alcohol at all. The pork boa buns make you wish you had several plates of them, and the sesame noodles were rich and creamy. Our waiter was exceptionally personable and definitely half the pleasure of eating there. read more

This is my new favorite bar downtown! I had heard good things about the Redlight before but had never been. I had a drink call Ten Bells and it was the best drink I have ever had! It was vodka, earl grey, vanilla bean and egg white. It was frothy, refreshing and had the most wonderful aroma! They also serve grilled cheese which is one of my favorite things to eat. It came to me piping hot and was just oozing cheese! It was amazing! The only complaint I have is that there is no AC in this bar and there is only one bathroom. But the food and the drinks make up for it! read more

Redlight Kitchen & Bar - Ten bells! The best drink I have ever had!! - Wine Bars Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

This was truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Cocktails are incredible, they are lovingly and carefully created - great names and innovative flavor combinations. GM was so sweet and personable - he took the time out of his night to make us a custom shot that was delicious. Bartenders are knowledgeable, neat, and creative. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting yet upscale. The food was delicious and presented well. I can't say enough good things about this place! read more

Interesting infusions and creative cocktails! I got there during happy hour, so was pleasantly surprised, and while it *is* a little hipstery, the drinks were divine. They all came in Mason jars, so take that for what it's worth, but the bartender asked me about my preferences and created an amazing drink for me that she was so positive I'd like, she said she'd buy it back if I didn't. She was right - it was totally delicious. There are bar snacks, but don't expect a meal. Instead, enjoy the ambiance and the fun infused stuff, and play a game or two with your friends, a date, your table-neighbors...anyone! read more

Just order the spicy dumplings and write thank you. This place and food rocks! Yes they have craft cocktails and a strange dessert but the spicy dumplings are my go to forever! read more

My first visit here was okay. Nothing too impressive with very slow service despite the place not being busy. I'm glad that I didn't write a review based on that experience alone. My second visit was very cool with good service. I sat in the meat locker room which provides a more relaxing atmosphere and some privacy to enjoy company. The menu offers a lot of unique drinks, beer on tap, and canned hard cider. A cider will run $4-5 and you can expect ~$10 for a unique drink. Worth it. I like the decor which includes local art and a good music selection. I haven't had the food but have been eyeing the menu for some time. read more

Tons of vegan options and a canon of cocktails. What a cool spot! I came here with family for a sampling of Bellingham Friday nightlife and I was impressed. We only ordered drinks, but after a quick glance at the menu, I know I'll be back to try the vegan fare. read more

Redlight is such a nice spot to get a drink. The setting is a little more intimate and nice, so it's a great spot to catch up with someone (or even go on a date hehe). Their drinks are a little strong, which can be good (bang for your buck). There's a nice big brick wall that has a few plants, and local art up on the walls. It's located a little bit farther than most of the popular spots to grab a drink, but the stroll to this end of state street is worth it! read more

This might just be a new guilty pleasure. The wantons are the best. Get the trio of sauces on the side - but my goodness they're tasty. Bring you vaccine card and ID if you're going to sit inside. But seriously this is a great new guilty pleasure of tastiness. read more

The spicy pork and vegetable wonton was outstanding. Always order the large so you don't run out.

this is the most insane restaurant, me and my friend literally stumbled by accident but it's absolutely incredible. we got the chicken wontons, the hot noodles the cucumbers and the tofu and it's one of the most satisfied i've ever felt after a meal. i can't believe i didn't try this place sooner, this is now my top 3 places in bellingham, please don't hesitate to come here!!!! read more

Amazing, amazing food, cocktails, music, vibes, and staff! This is my go to place in Bellingham - best food I've had.

Wontons were amazing and available late until 10 pm. Super friendly staff, especially the server with the blonde mullet. Ask him where to go in Bellingham and he will give you the 411. I recommend ordering the postal service as a cocktail and sit back and listen to the music. read more

This used to be on my top list of Bellingham establishments, but I think it's time to rethink that honor. We decided to take my partner here Friday August 20th for her 21st birthday after hyping the atmosphere and quality of drinks all day. We sit down, after showing our IDs and vaccination cards, and three of us order our drinks while my partner uses the bathroom. No problem yet. Partner gets back and I get up to use the bathroom, then return to my friends telling me that the server decided that my partner is "too intoxicated to serve", which is absurd considering she had consumed one drink over the past 4 hours, and that had been over an hour prior to arriving at the Redlight. Her eyes were not glossy, she was not being loud, and she could walk straight. Perhaps the only trait of hers that could be interpreted as "overly intoxicated" is the fact that she has social anxiety and can be a little hesitant and indecisive when speaking to folks she doesn't know... especially when they're acting condescending and interrogating her about her soundness of mind and body. If this was the first odd experience of this place that I've heard of, I might be a bit more cheritable in my review, writing it off as just an odd turn of events. But I've heard stories similar to our experience, both from friends and from other reviews, which I may have written off as exaggerated, or perhaps a case of not getting the whole story. After this, I'm likely never going back. Which is a shame, considering they do have creative and delicious drinks, a dark and chill atmosphere, and at least a few of their bartenders are stellar. read more

We arrived at about 4:30 and snagged the last outdoor table. There was a little wind but we were comfortable and ordered drinks and some spicy wontons. The staff were super friendly, fully masked and helpful with questions. Redlight takes the craft of mixing drinks and making food seriously and they're great at it! The Hotel Vegas was delicious - tequila with grapefruit juice and more. The wontons were worth the trip alone! We ordered more immediately! Covid precautions taken seriously- thank you Redlight for a safe evening out. read more

This is the first place we found when we moved to Bellingham, and the drinks, food, and service keep us coming back. The cocktails are thoughtfully made and always delicious. The food is phenomenal. My partner loves their bowls, but each time we go I always get the dumplings. They're perfection, and the sauce is the bomb. The waitstaff are friendly. The drinks are strong. And the atmosphere is speakeasy-esque. We've never had anything here we haven't been totally impressed with. read more

Really great craft cocktails and a chill vibe. I had one of the drinks they're known for- the Ten Bells. It was fantastic!! The mixologist was very friendly- I liked that she took her time to create a great drink and made it feel special, not hurrying through to get to the next patron. A quality cocktail is worth waiting for! read more

I'm a sucker for white bulb lights - which is basically what stood out to me from the road when I drove down State and past the Redlight. Bulb lights = automatically have to check it out. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a wine night and were blown away! We love the hip space - the tall ceilings with brick walls, local and changing art, and good selection. Shea, the owner, talked me into trying the house tempranillo (which I don't normally like since they're often times very spicy) which I enjoyed! Make sure to check out their Facebook - there seems to always be live music, a dj, or some sort of entertainment. I haven't had an entree yet but I have to say - they have the best cheese and fruit platter in town. I love the selection - multiple cheeses, grapes, pistachios, and bread of course....delish! read more

Good infused drinks...staff is friendly an know it stuff...fun Artwork on walls..........

I have visited twice now, once on a Thursday, once on a Friday. Both nights were surprisingly busy and also surprising, was staffed by only one person each night. Redlight is a cool little bar, there is seating for about 35, and a cool menu with handmade cocktails, and interesting beer, and wine choices. We have enjoyed the fruit and cheese boards that also include some cured meats and nuts. The drinks are expertly made and tasty. The wine I have had is tasty and appreciate that they offer varied choices. We like this little bar. It is in a cool space (a early 20th century storefront) and, on our second visit, a very cool local band played (there was no cover for the entertainment). We have enjoyed ourselves a great deal when we visit the Redlight and will return again. read more

A fine, versatile, low key bar with exceptional cocktail creations. Wonderful happy hour (discounts on drinks, wine, etc and free snacks), and "industry night" Thursday, where there is a further discount for service industry professionals. Happy hour has $5 off bottles of wine, and I highly recommend any French bottle on the red list. Their infusions and innovative, rotating drink menu are big high points of RL. Be brave here, and it will really pay off. (The best French 75 I've ever tasted came from this bar.) Interesting seating options- tables, benches and, as I dub it, the red room. Often come here with groups of friends to play cards. It's a marvelous spot for a pre-show drink or a date too. Funky and charming. Be prepared to give parking (state street) a few extra minutes and consider parking uphill a touch. read more

SUCH a cute spot! I love that it's associated with the Good Time Girls, and that they're opening up a fresh space for private dining / more seating. I would LOVE to have a birthday party here. It's such a subdued atmosphere. Really nice to have in Bellingham. And outdoor seating! Can't wait for summer. read more

Only speaking for the drinks here, haven't tried the food, though they have grilled sandwiches and snacks. The drinks and service is just the best and most creative j have had in Bellingham bars! My favorite drink so far is the White Squall. Star anise and nutmeg infused run with lime juice and ginger beer, ah just a dream drink! Their drink specials are also good. Shots paired with cheap beer perfection. read more

I know I say this a lot, but this place is not to be missed. Best craft cocktails in Bham. The Ten Bells is otherworldly. They change the drink menu to fit the seasons, but their classics are consistently good. The dumplings are surprisingly delicious as well, especially the spicy chili chicken ones. Sometimes it gets hot and loud when it's really crowded, but happy hour prices are worth it. read more

best bar in bellingham. friendly attentive staff, wonderful drinks, super tasty food! best service in bham.

Newly turned 21 so I was definitely looking for that typical bar scene. I loved it. Blonde redhead was a perfect drink for me. I can't wait to see what it looks like Friday and Saturday nights..because the only thing I was turned off by was the fact that I didn't feel like there was anyone my age around which probably had something to Do with the timing and day of week. None the less, it's cute, staff are polite, best vodka drink I've ever had, loved it. read more
