The broth is great and the serving is plus love the artwork and people! Don't listen to the Karen's about the music, they just need to go back to their diners also, the price depends on you ultimately, don't complain about a pricey ramen if you're ordering the grocery store with it! I honestly don't know why this place is rated so low here, but my experience was very good. I came from San Gabriel Valley and have been living in IE for a year now, and this place did not disappoint. The ramen was very good. Great balance of creamy and spicey. I was skeptical about some of the previous reviews, so I am glad I decided to ignore it and give it a try. The staff was friendly, everything came quick, and the food was good. My kids are picky, and they loved the ramen, too. So it was an overall win. The place had good music. This is probably the worst ramen place I've been to, and it taps into one of the trendiest issues with these new ramen spots popping up. Like video games, this restaurant has micro transactions on EVERY ingredient, so you're paying 12-14$ just on broth, meat, onion, and noodles that are not very good. The broth had a tap water after taste. $2 will get you a single hard boiled egg, not a authentic Ajitsuke Tamago. It's just disappointing. The bowls were plastic too, it all just felt so cheap for how expensive it was. It's also cafeteria style, so you walk in and pay before sitting down. It was empty when we went and the music was blasting, I couldn't hear my partner talk and he was sitting inches away from me at the counter. You just can't get good ramen in the IE. read more

This was the first time eating here and I enjoyed my experience. My fiancé and I had just come back from doing work at a concert and we were looking for something filling but nothing too heavy. Not only was this place a top recommendation online, it was also open late and we were happy to be able to find a place to eat. Upon entering, we saw how packed it was! There was not a specific vibe to be quite honest. All people were there eating everything that was available to them in the options on the menu. The place is a little dark when you enter but that could be attributed to the black paint and the semi dim lighting. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to answer all the questions and even make recommendations. The place was an average level of noise with lots of conversation and a little bit of music and the smell of Ramen emanating through the air. All the workers were professional and considerate. The system was great and how the food was delivered to you and the food was delicious! I had the vegan Ramen with the vegan noodles topped with some vegetables and tofu. On the side I had a drink from the fountain And my Fiancé had the vegan fried rice. The Ramen was a little bit on the saltier side but it wasn't anything that would make me push the bowl away. From the first slurp all the way down to the bottom of the bowl, it was a wonderful experience. This is definitely one of those spots that you can come to at any time and it seems like the place to go to on a Saturday night when you're looking for something warm to eat on a cold night. You see it everywhere; especially if you're an anime fan or a fan of Japanese Pop culture at all, you're aware of this type of cuisine. And trust me - if you think Ramen is merely Maruchan or Cup-O-Noodles, you're in for a surprise! Redlands Ramen has been open for a couple of years now. It's located in the Packinghouse District plaza; the same plaza as Sprouts and Mountain Mike's Pizza. My brother and I were super excited when this place opened up, as we're big fans of Ramen. The Good. Their food is quite good. Savory flavors, decent broth, and the option to spice your food up and down to taste is a definite plus! They also have a variety of options including Tonkotsu, Vegsn, Tori, and Miso. Their prices are also decent; with their avg dish starting at $12-$14. The Meh! Don't be that impressed with their prices. They nickel and dime you to death with their add-ons. $4 for extra noodles? $7 for extra broth?! They also will charge you for other additions like adding an egg to your dish. By the time you get your dish spiced and dished out the way you like it, you will have paid over $20 EASILY. The Oh No! The last couple of times my brother and I have been in here, there was EDM music pumped ALL THE WAY UP ALMOST UNTIL YOUR EARS ARE BLEEDING! Yeah, it was pretty loud and annoying. And it wasn't just once. Also, the service is kind of lacking. Whoever is there taking orders when we come in never seems like they want to be there, and their attitude reflects that. Also; the last two times it took them over 30 mins to prepare our mere 2 bowls of ramen for us after ordering...and they weren't very busy! This left us both not only hungry but scratching our heads...baffled. Redlands Ramen has a lot of things going for it. Its location is great; a short walk from almost anywhere downtown in a busy plaza. Their food is tasty I will admit, but they really need to re-evaluate their business model when it comes to charging and charging and charging for add-ons. They also need to dial the volume of their music down to a reasonable level and work on their service. This place is very unorganized, we should have called in and placed an order to-go. We were told to sit anywhere, but there was no place to sit. When we finally sat at the bar, we were told that we would be helped soon... no one came to take our order, we waited 30 minutes and left, so never tried the food, which actually looked good. The tables were so close together that a server almost tripped on my chair due to lack of room to walk. First off, the door is extremely hard to open, so if you have any disabilities around that I'd just skip this place. I had to throw my whole body into the door and I have arthritis so this just hurt. The soda fountains are unique with a different kind of flavored sodas. Improvement needed: - need a tad more flavor on the broth. - need a bit umami taste. - the porks need to be soft.
