Not only did he spend almost 3 hours to tune the piano multiple times to make sure it was just right and stayed just right, he disassembled most of the parts, so he can get into the crevices to vacuum out the dust. He reassembled the parts making sure everything was even more secure than before to eliminate all the subtle unwanted "noise" from the piano. Lubrication was also used to make sure all the keys moved smoothly like they are supposed to. I am definitely going to stay with Tin for all future piano tunings.

The sound was not good and the piano clearly needed a lot of work. I called Jackson's Piano Service and immediately spoke with Jenny who said she could come out a few days later. She was very kind and upfront about the cost. Once they arrived and saw the piano, she immediately knew that more work would be needed and quoted me the new price. The pricing is fair and the service is incredible! The hammers had to be completely removed in order to be repaired. Jenny took these with her and returned about 10 days later. Messaged Total Piano Care and tried to get them to come out before the concert the same day and fortunately there was enough time in between clients to squeeze us in. Came by and was extremely polite and professional, examined the piano, answered all of my relevant and not so relevant questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, and saw the problem was minor and got the piano working for the concert! Watching him work, there was no doubt he was extremely familiar with the Steinway and worked with many Steinway Grands. Knew about all of the things that were wrong and recommended a few minor repairs to prevent further damage. So happy it worked out with Total Piano care. Great communication and caring too!
