At the time, our income was low, but the Y offered scholarships, which made it possible for us to join. We received a 50% scholarship, and it truly was a blessing. It gave me time to work out, take classes, and just have a little "me time" while my baby was safe and cared for. Now that my son is in preschool, I have the flexibility to come at any time, and I love that freedom. The childcare hours used to be limited to mornings (around 8 to 12) and a bit in the afternoon (around 3:30), but now I just come whenever I can. I usually do my own workouts since the group class times don't always fit my schedule, but there's such a great variety, swimming, tap, pilates, fusion, and so much more. Another thing I love is the sense of community. I often see friends from church here, and it feels like an extension of that family atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly, though a few could be a bit more personable, but overall, they're helpful and kind. For the value, variety, and community, the YMCA has been such a big part of my life these past few years. I'm so grateful for it, and I can honestly say, I love the Y!

After that, even with a senior discount, I would be paying more than what I was paying at LA Fitness. After I was done signing up with the clerk at the desk, she said, "You're all set," and just stood there. I also just stood there. After a couple minutes I asked if someone was going to show me around the facility. She seemed a bit surprised by the request but she did agree to give me brief tour of the place, which was in need of upkeep and upgrading. Again, it was springtime when I signed up and during the initial tour of the facility, we walked by the outdoor pool. It was a beautiful sunny day and the pool looked very inviting but i noticed there were only pool toys floating in it. I asked why there was no one in the pool and I was told the outdoor pool is only open in summer. I was stunned. Redlands is in the low desert of southern California. For goodness sake! The pool should have been open, but since it wasn't, why were there pool toys floating in it? Had they been there since the pool closed last year? Then she took me to the women's locker room. I opened the door and immediately saw into the locker room. Yes, you read that correctly. From the hallway, where anyone could be standing or walking, you open the door and you see directly into the women's locker room! Clearly, the layout of the banks of lockers is incorrect and needs to be reconfigured so that there is privacy. I cannot understand how the current layout is allowed or tolerated. It was a no-go for me. Don't even get me started on the gym and its configuration problems. The machines are way too close together and on top of that, they are facing each other. I've never seen anything like it. It must have been designed by the same person who set up the women's locker room. That person has clearly never seen a proper locker room or gym before. I was very uncomfortable using the machines in that gym. I didn't stick around long enough to take any classes. Honestly, I gave the Redlands YMCA a try but there are just far too many issues with it that need to be addressed. I cancelled my membership after my fourth visit there. I am being generous in giving the place two stars. Do yourself a favor and get a membership to pretty much any other gym in the area. You'll thank me later.

The families they have helped with our giving write tear-jerking letters to us describing how the RFS and donations helped get their family back on their feet again and saved their family from destitution. We would highly recommend RFS for donating to the Redlands Community in need.

We gathered the suits, plus some nice clothes our daughter had outgrown and went there today to donate. I tried to donate the suits but kept being ignored by the workers as I stood there holding them in my arms. No offer of assistance, nothing. A group of people came in and they got assistance right away; apparently they were volunteering to organize donations. I was then asked to move because I was in the way. Nice way to treat people who were trying to donate. So, you missed out on about $4,500 worth of suits by ignoring and then being rude.

Every time I've been in there, there's been no furniture/larger items, and the selection of items as a whole is small. An assortment of home decor items and clothing accessories, a wall of books, some clothing racks in the middle. That's pretty much it. That all being said...everything available is very carefully curated and shockingly clean by Goodwill standards. The shelves and books are all color-coordinated, and pretty much everything seems to be in very decent condition. It feels more like a small secondhand boutique than a Goodwill, to be honest. Given the size of the space, I actually appreciate that it's laid out this way. It's easier to find things, and the things that I find are usually of higher quality. If you are trying to make a donation...I, personally, would not do it at this particular location. The thing I like about making donations to most Goodwill stores is the ease of it. I like being able to pull my car up to the side of the building and have an employee take the items without too much fuss. From all of the negative reviews on here, it seems like that isn't really how donations go down at this Goodwill store. I would actually recommend the Colton Avenue location in Redlands for anyone looking to make donations in the area, as that seems to be a store with a more standard donation set-up.

Nada-just cold rudeness. You have to ask for a receipt and then she's really bothered about the effort that takes to give you one. The store is super small and it looks like it's been professionally picked over of anything worth purchasing. Such a shame. This place is such a blessing ! the people are…read morecompassionate and very helpful. i'm so grateful the staff at LLU medical center mentioned this place and we were able to get in touch with a social worker to refer us. it's walking distance from the hospital so we were able to be in the NICU with our son everyday until he was able to come home. not having to worry about where we'll stay while our son was in the NICU was such a relief! they have a huge kitchen with pantry and refrigerator access, dining area, outdoor play area, grill area, laundromat on site and multiple sitting/lounge areas. their are also people (i think counselors ) available to help get you through whatever it is your family is going through. finance options are amazing and extremely affordable to all. they are very strict about entry access and house rules which are great and intended to keep everyone safe. This place made all the difference and allowed us to be close to our son during such a difficult time.

It's a place most people don't know fully about, but when you or someone you know has a child in the NICU, it's amazing that there is this place called the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House; a place to call home away from home.

Both myself and my daughter…read morecalled, (the "are too busy to care for kitties AND answer the phone, so please send a text"), so we texted, created an account online (because they want to know you're "actually serious" about adopting before you can even MEET the cat you're considering adopting.) (I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out.
