Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

The registration process was smooth and easy, and I really appreciated all the classes, resources, and support offered to parents. As a first-time homeschool family, I had so many questions, and the one-on-one guidance we received helped us learn the apps, understand the systems, and get both of my boys comfortably settled in. The teachers my sons had in 4th and 5th grade have been absolutely wonderful. They have been supportive, encouraging, and truly made a difference in our experience. I have also been very impressed with the IEP support. The team reached out early, guided us through the process, and has been incredibly helpful throughout. We felt supported from the beginning. One of my favorite things is the transparency and technology. Parents have real-time access to student calendars, assignments, grades, and progress, which makes it so easy to stay involved and support our children. The materials, technology, communication, and overall support have been outstanding. Most importantly, I've seen such a positive change in both of my boys academically. We are truly grateful for Sage Oak and all they have done for our family.

The students are disrespectful to the teachers and to each other. They don't listen to the teachers and are frequently playing games on their ipads rather than doing their assignments, and the teachers don't care. The teachers actually made me feel bad about myself. I felt like I didn't learn much at this school and my education was much better when I went to public school. The previous principal and the current principal both seemed out of touch with what was actually going on in the classroom and I did not feel supported by either of them. They are constantly asking parents for donations of items, time, and money, in addition to the tuition that they already pay. The fundraisers are constant. She had additionally invited the children and a few parents to participate (i.e. burning candles and making offerings to the dead). When "called out" about this ritual, the staff and teacher made "life very difficult" to put it mildly. This is simply one of many occurrences. Before enrolling, please do your "homework" and ask around the community. There are other options, as far as Christian schools.

I like the fact that they had the per 5th grader classes' promotional graduations different scheduled time .. Each student were called and given a Manila envelope with their award certificates to save time ... smart move that is !!! Just on FRIDAY she was mad I was behind a dodge charger who was parked where it's blocking traffic and I was behind them. I was driving to a parking spot but I was blocked from all angles by vehicles clearly blocking traffic. So I waited so long then seen my kids both look at me and I walked in the middle of the parking lot to have my kids run to me while the principal minerva tries to tell me I can't park right there and my kids are literally coming off the side walk I proceed to grab my children. Mind you she didn't even talk to the cars who were blocking traffic or even the dodge charger who was blocking me. She threatened how she can make it to where I can't come on campus and I knew I had a case. Today I recorded how a car was blocking the drive thru lane while they were waiting for their kid they have the footage of that. Sad part is she didn't say anything. So discrimination is real and I'm glad she is leaving she is the worst & super unprofessional and I have another parent who also stated she felt the same way I felt. TEACHERS ARE AMAZING. As far as I know and from my son's experience, he really enjoyed attending Cope and is excited about his 7th grade year. While 6th graders are very limited in what they can participate in, Cope offers interesting programs and opportunities for students to get involved and stay positively occupied. I appreciate being kept up to date by the school principal and assistant principal and look forward to attending the morning "pastry with the principal" this year. While my son has never been targeted by a bully, I have heard of these instances happening at this school but not at any rate that's not normal for middle school where kids will be kids. It's up to the parents to raise and reprimand their children at home and let them know at home BEFORE they get to the school, that that behavior is unacceptable. It's a regular middle school but I am glad to say that there's been no drama - at least in our school life at Cope. Maybe I missed it because we entered late, but hopefully there is a parent orientation this year that shows ALL the ways parents can stay up to date on school activities, etc. The website didn't offer many details about these clubs. The school website was not as interactive as I thought it should or would be, but it did the trick for the moment. I would like for the school to keep parents abreast of activities available for students. I know they are preparing responsible teens and young adults, but some students are slower than others at reaching this stage and I'm still responsible for exposing my child to things that will help him grow and learn so continue to keep parents notified. As a suggestion for Parent Education night, one of the topics should be how to help your student get more involved in school activities or promote organization, etc. Overall, great school, and looking forward to the 2018-19 year.
