I go to school here, the teachers are great but I did have to join a new class in 2cd grade. Overall 9/10.

Lacking professionalism, communication, and accountability!!!!!…read moreZero stars if I could. The faculty will bend rules for favored individuals. Therefore, if you're not well known and favored they are rude for no absolute reason. They send children home who are sick but expect you to be there within minutes. If not they will send your child back to class and tell you "you took too long" (I took 15 minutes). Bullying goes unreported and unresolved, leaving not just my child but others in a heightened state of stress.. at an elementary school, unsat. You would also think that with living in the mountain and not always having access to cellular service, they would follow up through emails or the apps they require you to use. This is not the case and again, the faculty treats you as if you're neglectful which is laughable considering I have walked in while faculty were yelling at a sick child (maybe it was warranted but definitely not a good look and definitely not professional). Accountability is also SEVERELY lacking which is very concerning as a parent. I have updated the school of every sickness or vacation which contributed to their absence. This is the only time they will text/call AND email but still expect a delinquent letter in the mail even after excusing them. I have also received messages at 4pm that my child did not attend school that day, which was horrifying at first considering I personally dropped them off and could not contact the school since it was after hours. I had to leave work to find my child safely at his afterschool program... this did not happen just once, but three times and they still contacted me a whole day later requesting a reason why he did not attend.... So then I have to confirm that my child was in fact at school and then they start being rude again.?

I honestly loved going here and I miss it so much!!! My little brother goes here now and he's…read moregotten really good at behaving in class since he started attending.

My Daughters Overall experience was below satisfactory. 1st-3rd grade was beyond disappointing for…read moremy daughter and I, quite possibly our standards for the education system are higher than what we receive with the local unified or this school needs some serious revising. The teachers I had met with don't seem to want to be there any more than the students. A major indicator as a parent there's a serious absence of administrations support on their daily demeanors, inevitably portraying on the students, Which is absolutely unacceptable and doesn't make it OK or FAIR for our children to be in that sort of environment. The Administration seems to show the most attention to what brings in the Funding; ADA, IEP's etc. I've met with the principal, Dr. Lenertz on many occasions for multiple unfortunate events regarding a couple other kids putting hands on my daughter, the solutions brought up sounded great but unfortunately wasn't implemented. Sadly, I had to correlate with the parents to see a resolution for my child's well being, intervening on many occasions as well for the safety of my child. Not to mention a terrible first impression on my daughter's 2nd day of school, leaving my husband and I concerned with our daughter's wellbeing. We of course brought it to her attention and felt nothing but retaliation for almost two years thereafter. The secretary and other office staff also lack communication, social skills & efficiency. I have been called on the phone quite a few times asking why my child wasn't at school that day, when I walked her to the gate personally. Communication is terrible amongst the office staff, teachers and the principal, if you call in due to your child's absence you're more then likely not going to have it logged into Aeries and have to waste more time making sure they do their job. Lastly, the amount of Drop off and pick up traffic, I have seen more car accidents, staff, parents & children get nearly hit by a vehicle or actually have been hit walking across the street in the crosswalk at the school and on the Church Ave and Love St., the school still does nothing other than originating that we the parents should call the local Sheriffs Department and file a report. The school continues to not practice safety precautions or preventative measures for our children's environment. How would I rate Arroyo Verde school: F-Safety D-Curriculum F- Educational programs for Teachers often getting substitutes and children falling behind F- Student Support F- Effective solutions F- Teacher Support F- parent Communication I'd try other near by schools before considering arroyo verde! Or maybe when it's under new administration!

The center director and leadership team are approachable, understanding, and do their best to work with families while balancing what the center can provide. In preschool, the teachers are fantastic. The children still have nap time and plenty of outdoor play, which I really appreciate. The curriculum is well-rounded. They're learning early writing, engaging in storytelling, and building strong foundational skills in a nurturing way. Each month, we also receive updates and materials showing what they've worked on, which makes it easy to stay involved and see their progress. Having experienced multiple classrooms, from infant to toddler to preschool, I can confidently say we've had a great experience at every stage. I truly have only positive things to say about the center.

The teachers are wonderful, sending us pictures throughout the day, and it's clear they genuinely enjoy being with him. They do story time, painting, sensory play, and even have a monthly curriculum adapted for each age group. It's so nice seeing that the hallways and classrooms display all of the children's artwork! We love that he gets to do tummy time, play with other babies, and even go on stroller walks in the outside playground. Our baby hit two new milestones since starting daycare- he's rolling both ways and sitting up early, and we think it's because he's inspired by the older babies! The daily reports are super helpful, too. We always know when he napped and how much he ate, and the app updates throughout the day give us peace of mind. The front office staff and management are also incredibly friendly, and it's clear they love our little guy so much! We feel so lucky to have found such a caring and nurturing environment for him. Highly recommend! -AD's dad
