Being that my wife is pregnant and we both work full time, my in-laws flew up to help us take care of our two year old daughter. However, seeing how active and mischievous my daughter is, two kids under three years of age would have been a lot for them to manage. Also, we started noticing that our daughter was really bored around the house and really needed socialization. On a recommendation from a friend, we decided to check out The Learning Experience in Redlands. My mother-in-law is a former educator at Montessori and had really high expectations of student to teacher ratios and education. Initially, she wanted our daughter to attend a Montessori program but they were all booked for appointments and were closed during COVID. She and I toured TLE together and she was thoroughly impressed by the facility, from the cleanliness to the STEM program. Interestingly enough, she was for the integration of technology into student learning and saw this as a better method to engage children in learning. After about three weeks of starting my daughter in TLE, we couldn't be happier. The third and fourth days were a little rough given that she cried at drop-off, but now she walks in without saying bye. When she comes home, she excitedly tells us about her day. She will also randomly ask to see Ms. Jackie or Ms. Wendy after dinner. The best part is is that there is an app that keeps us updated on what she is going in school, what she ate, if she pottied. It's actually a little funny because sometimes the updates are out of order and the captions are incorrect but we appreciate it nonetheless. We also get daily reports from the teacher letting us know how she did during the day! If you are a parent looking for a great daycare center, The Learning Experience is perfect.

Very clean and looks like a great learning experience. I would recommend calling and not using the website, it makes tour schedules and the staff aren't aware of the appointments from online bookings. Otherwise very cute and neatly organized. We decided to pass because of simply the prices. We couldn't afford it.

My sons deer face fake half smile

My child attended here for one month before I took him out. The appearance is very clean and organized but it actually isn't the best. My child was never in the same classroom from when I dropped him off and picked him up. I always had to search from room to room to see where he was. He also never had the same teacher. It was giving very much understaffed. But the main reason I withdrew my son was because I receive subsidies to help pay for the cost of things. No one informed me that my cal works was NOT going to cover the entire monthly amount and I would be paying out of pocket as well. The price does not match the quality of service at all. My child never brought home art work, never talked about anything or anyone making him happy or wanting to go here. Granted kids generally do not like to go to school anyway. But he was previously in another preschool (we moved) before and I never had this problem. Just know what you're getting into before enrolling please people.

Ask the Community - The Learning Experience - Redlands

Does this day care have in classroom cameras so we can see our kids?

Yes! The Director has the screens in her office, and you can see them through the window on your way in.

What ages of children do you take? What is the cost per child? Do you have to pay if they don't go for a day or go on vacation?

The sign outside says 6 weeks to 6 years. The prices do change so I would suggest you call and get current prices. You do pay per month, so if the child is absent for a day, you still pay the same amount.

Their educational program has prepared my oldest for kindergarten with age-appropriate worksheets, and it's clear that they are genuinely invested in fostering growth and development in every child they care for. They have an excellent outdoor play area, structured daily activities, and even a couple of annual field trips that make this daycare special. My son comes home talking about all his friends and daily activities. They also provide all snacks and meals for kids over the age of two, which is super helpful for busy working parents. As full-time healthcare workers with unpredictable schedules, finding care with a clear, consistent schedule and flexibility has been incredibly important to us. Kids Land Academy has been wonderful in accommodating our needs. Their minimal closures and understanding of our varying hours make it so much easier to balance work and family life. They have been very willing to work with us when adjustments are needed. A special mention goes to Mr. Naresh, who is possibly the calmest, most patient, and caring individual I've ever met. He has an incredible way with children, and I always feel at ease knowing that my kids are in his capable hands. His calm demeanor and nurturing nature create a safe and welcoming environment for the kids. I highly recommend Kids Land Academy to any parent looking for a caring, educational, and fun place for their little ones. It's truly been an exceptional experience for our family!

When you consider how important these first years are to the emotional and educational development of your precious child, this decision is one of the most important ones you can make as a parent, and it requires a lot of trust. My wife and I faced this dilemma many years ago when we stumbled onto Lalita and the business she had just started, KidsLand Academy. Our son Jude was the first baby to enroll in what would become a thriving childcare built on the passions and talents of a woman who would become a Godsend to us and our child. Lalita gave our son many years of genuine love and care that no amount of money can guarantee. We were blessed to find her, and she and her family will always be close to our hearts, as they were willing to be the family we didn't have to watch our young Jude during those critical years while our family was just starting out. If you are reading this review, you are fortunate to have found her too. Jude is now 13 years old. He is a kind hearted, responsible, and respectful young man who has always been near the top of his class academically. He had a great start. Thank you, Lalita.

Safety was our first concern. Ahren's access control is on point. Normally Mr John is in his office and monitors access if not there is a teacher on duty. It seems like our child moving from kindergarten is ready for 2nd grade. Communication and kindness. Ahren's staff are very communication heavy. They made going through Covid easy and painless. They call and email information as well as group and one on one face to face. Ahren's is not your typical day care or education institution, it's a family, you feel like family. I highly recommend Ahren's to parents wanting their child to have that edge for the future.

Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

The Director was nothing more then professional and welcoming. She allowed our child to play in the playground while she sat with us and talked. I could tell that just as we were interviewing her, she was also evaluating and observing our child and us as parents. This detail to attention and how well kept the facilities were is what lead us to enrolling our daughter. Each classroom has an accredited teacher and an aide (or TA) so we knew that the classrooms had a small student to teacher ratio, great when you have high expectations that the school will be teaching as opposed to just providing playtime for your child. Our teacher and aide knew our child very well, and could explain our child's academic progress and personal growth whenever we dropped by with concerns or just plain curiosity. As previously mentioned, the facilities are well kept and the classroom sizes are small. They respect child allergies and encourage parent participation. I never felt like FLCC was pushing their religious beliefs on the children, but was appreciative of the fact that they invited or included us in their many weekend and after school activities. If you are looking for a Children's Center that will give your child an academic edge, especially if your path is private education, then this is the place for you in Redlands. Their tuition prices are comparable to other centers in the area, but what makes FLCC stand out is the staff's warm, caring and attentive desire to see each child succeed.

I witnessed a few book reading times and singing times where teachers sung with dead eyes and flat voices conveying that they were just going through motions. I feel like a bad parent for subjecting my child to this place.
