Our child used to go there for years. Getting straight to the point: Do not let the name throw you off. It is (first and foremost) a BUSINESS. Yes, there are Christian aspects to it. I would however challenge anyone to find a Christian among the staff, clientele, and teachers. In particular, it was found out that a teacher had been practicing a pagan ritual during the Halloween season. She had additionally invited the children and a few parents to participate (i.e. burning candles and making offerings to the dead). When "called out" about this ritual, the staff and teacher made "life very difficult" to put it mildly. This is simply one of many occurrences. Before enrolling, please do your "homework" and ask around the community. There are other options, as far as Christian schools. read more

I have been into a lot of schools, both public and private, for observations due to my job. When I first went to RCA I was very impressed. The teachers actually taught the students verse the kids watching a you tube video on how to do the task. There was open discussion with all students participating. Group work was encouraged and the teachers are very supportive. I was refreshing to see this. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. read more

My experience during enrollment process for the lower school. We applied for my child to attend this school. Being born in a Christian home, I felt this would be a great place for my child to go to school and feel at home because of our beliefs. I didn't learn about this places after researching for a Spanish dual programs. I felt very confident my child would be accepted here. Not only he would continue in Spanish classes but the foundation would be God. I was beyond exited. Currently my child is in a Tk program while attending a Spanish dual program. He is at a first grade level both English and Spanish. My husband and I are blessed to have good job that will support the school tuition for two kids. After attending all their required meetings and completing all their requirements, we finally had a family interview. Prior to the family interview, we had scheduled a meeting on a holiday which was showing available on their site and they never shows up. Before the meeting started the principal prayed, I was caught off guar when finishing the prayer by saying in your name we pray, amen. Well, who's name? That was a red flag for me. Their entire website they mentions they are a Jesus Christ followers. During the meeting we were given a brief overall school schedule. They asked a few questions, how did you hear about us? And so on. Lasted 2 mins. She had a small talk with my 4 year old who was drawing. He answered everything. Afterwards, she's asked do you have any questions? I was under the impression they wanted to know more about us. It felt very dismissive. I didn't really have any questions because I did study their site. It just felt weird or unprepared not to ask anything while I had my 2 year old running around. Unfortunately we didn't have a babysitter to watch my little one. Right away I felt they were not interested in us. Based on their requirements to attend this school, I felt were were a great match. But during that meeting it felt weird as if they had already made their decision about us. I was previously told by previous parents who enrolled child to this and quickly removed them from here "as a school that are a bit racist." They only like white people and do not like people of color. They do have very little diversity but shows they don't want to over so it. I also read a lot of reviews most were not good. We prayed on this and fortunately our answers were answered. My son will not attend this school. We found something better where we will not feel like we need to prove ourselves to be accepted to a Christian community. Is that what Jesus did? Hmm They act like they are an Elite school and you should feel above the clouds if you are chosen. They told us they would respond to us in March with an answer. We received an email the second week of April. This was their response "The Admissions Committee has asked me to communicate that after careful review of ****** application file, a decision was made to place your application in a closed status. This means we will not be moving forward with the Admissions Process". They won't even say a reason as to why? There is so much work to complete as a parent and for a dismissive response is very disappointing. I called to speak to someone and they have to find someone to call me back. I grew up going to Redlands Christian and have nothing but amazing memories from my time there. My kids now go to RCS as well and I am happy to report that the quality of the Christian education remains top of the line. The teachers, administration, and all the staff work tirelessly to pour out love, care, compassion, and wisdom to each student. This school truly cares about your child- their education, their hearts, them having a fun and positive experience, and their whole being. We are so blessed to have our children attend RCS! read more

My daughter is finishing up her first year at RCS. She's in the Spanish immersion program for junior kindergarten. So far, we have had a great experience with the school and staff, and my daughter is where she needs to be academically. I can't speak for the whole school, but my daughter's teachers, Mrs. Salinas and Ms. Luna, go above and beyond for her and the other kids, and the aftercare is very structured. read more

Great school and great staff! My child has gone there from the age of 3 years and now going into second grade.

In 2021 we came to RCS looking for a safe and loving school for our, then preschooler (now 2nd grader), and we have been so grateful to have found our school. Both of our children have attended the preschool, one starting age 2 in the potty-training class, and are both now in the Spanish Immersion program. Both of our children are excelling academically, socially but most importantly, spiritually. Our school has become more than just a learning place, but has become a place of fellowship and my kids look forward to school daily. As a parent and a teacher myself, my heart is so full knowing my kids are in the hands of those with a Servant's heart. I continue to have full faith in our school leaders and teachers and know that my children are their number one priority. I highly recommend Redlands Christian Schools and preschool. read more

This school is a joke and strictly based on social status and money, NOT on Christianity. My daughter attended this school for two years and although the teachers were decent, the school collectively was a waste. They were great about pushing selective academics subjects, but they failed to encourage diversity or acceptance of anyone outside of the Caucasian race. There was little to no teaching of Christianity outside the basic and corny use of the term "God" and "Jesus" thrown around here and there (and conveniently right before asking for more money for w.e reason they came up with that week). And ironically more than half of the parents I met at the time made it clear they weren't really Christian but just wanted their child to attend a local private school. How does that even fall under the radar? Ridiculous. read more

We started at this school last year and it has been a huge blessing from God. Great academics and loving teachers. My children have really grown spiritually , socially, and academically at this school in just a year and a half. They were not being taught the basic standards at Kimberly elementary and the teachers did as little as humanly possible so we came to RCS. The school is based on the Christian faith according to the mission statement but not by examples. However, there is nothing about Christian faith in there, it is all about the money $, and if you are white and click in their group, you made it. But if you are not white and didn't like you, you are not welcome anymore. As a former employee, I saw a lot of discrimination there. If the principal feels like saying hi on the day, he will say hi. But if they have decided to get rid of you, they stop talking to you and even say "Hi" They do not have programs for kids who are disabled in Preschool. If a student with a disability, the director, Kim, will kick out the child. She would not accommodate at all, especially if she did not like the child. Sad that they use the Christian faith word because Jesus Christ does not reflect on their heart to certain people. read more

My grandson has been attending since Pre-K! Not only is he leaps and bounds ahead of his friends in public school, he has learned to be kind considerate and loving. The staff practices positive reinforcement, is encouraging and loving leads by example, exemplifying these traits themselves. RCS is amazing. I enrolled my kids when they were in kindergarten and junior kindergarten. They are both in the spanish immersion program and are now both fluent in spanish. They can read and write in both languages. My oldest is reading at levels above her grade level. I would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in elevating their child's education. I love that RCS is a faith based school and they start every day with the pledge of allegiance and prayer. It's so refreshing that my kids get to learn about Jesus Christ and what He did for us as part of their curriculum. read more

Worst experience ever with schools! We went to school open house, school tour, and enrolled my kid on time. After 2 months of completing the enrollment process and sending all the docs, Jannae Thompson contacted me to asked me for some documents that I had already sent. I told her I already sent them 2 months ago and she found them, she then apologized for not seeing them and told me that they've been busy. After that she told me I needed to have an interview with the school director but after she saw on the application that we are Catholics she told me she wasn't sure the director would accept us in the school. I then received an email saying that our son was not accepted in the school. Long story short we cancel the enrollment and they haven't returned our money. Also, THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE OR EMAILS, ESPECIALLY BETTY CROCKER. read more

I was completely disappointed with this school. I went through the application process to enroll my impressionable daughter in what I believed would be a good Christian school. After paying all the required fees and attending the schools open house. A month before school was scheduled to start. I called the school to inquire on my daughters status since I never heard back. I finally received an email from Jannae Thompson the director of Christian redlands suggesting I read the parent expectations. My daughter was not accepted due to my marital status and that I would not be receiving a refund on the money paid. Wow! Shouldn't the focus be on our children learning about the word of God. For the last four years I have driven 120 miles a day for my son to be able to attend Redlands Christian Schools. My son is mentally disabled and RCS has an amazing program for children with special needs. RCS is one of the only Christian schools in Southern California to recognize the need for Christian families to have all of their children served by the private Christian schools. My son has been in the program since 5th grade and I cannot imagine him going to school anywhere else. He will start at the high school next year. So if you are a family with a child with special needs and you want them to go to a school where Christ is a part of their daily education, than this is the place for you. All your children will get a great education and be a part of a loving community. Go Eagles! read more

My son started preschool at RCS this year. I'm so thankful for the teachers and staff who love God and love students. I appreciate how they focus on building character. My son is learning about God and prayer. They are establishing great habits for learning academics. I also love that I'm able to get involved in his classroom. I know people who send their kids their now and it has improved slightly. I attended there as a student myself. I suffered from physical and emotional bullying and was always sent away and told I was the problem. Nothing was ever done. Having talked to other parents of students now, it has continued to this day. This is not a good school for anyone who wants their child to have any mental freedom or tolerance for other religions or people. read more
