Unfortunately, when we got into primary, the experience was not the same. Just before his transition, they started talking about him having a sensory processing disorder. When he got to primary, his teacher would give us a laundry list of behaviors each day that were 'problematic.' The problems weren't things like hitting kids. They were things like not lining up, bringing toys to school, and having tantrums at three years old. We finally pulled him after his teacher shamed him in front of me for getting upset when she took a toy of his away. But that's not the worst part. He told me after we pulled him from the school, "I need medication to regulate my emotions." When I asked who told him that, he said his teacher. I have heard many stories from other families with similar horror stories. We have realized that the reason kids are so quiet and well behaved at their school is because they actively shame and weed out those that don't fit in.

One of them was in the monkey room for pre-K with the teacher April's, and the other one was in the puppy room for Preschool with Teacher, Angie, Kim, and Marcy. Each one of those women poured their hearts and souls into my children and developed each boy more than I could have ever imagined. Without that pre-k year with the set of Teacher Aprils (Castillo and Rose), I truly don't think my newly five year-old would be ready for kindergarten at the Academy next year. We are so blessed to have found this facility and were accepted in time to squeeze a little bit of experience, in preparation for the Academy. I wish these women would teach at the elementary school so my nervousness moving on would be lessened. The teachers responded promptly to messages over the app we chat on, they posted DAILY pictures and videos, and even noted my littlest guy's potty times. It was so helpful! Because of those things, I can confirm that each room at the varying levels of education, experience cooking, FreePlay, development of fine motor skills, social and emotional exercises with one another, reading, writing, dancing, prayer and all across the board LOVE! The price is steep, but I'm not here to lie on my review so I won't leave that part out either. However, if your family can swing it, there's not a better place to send your kid in preparation for elementary school and ultimately, life. My kids were safe and loved this past year, and again, if I could give this facility six stars I would. Mariana and Teddy are doing a phenomenal job running this school. You can tell that they truly love the children and care for them as if they were their own. For me, the biggest thing is peace of mind. Not only do I get daily photo updates of their activities and meals but immediately my children's behavior improved. The staff are incredibly agile with my kids, loving towards us and super knowledgeable in building character and learning. In addition, I love the community events they hold for kids and parents and the extra snacks they send the kids with after school. Before, my kids dreaded going to daycare. Now, in the morning they wake up happy to get ready for the day! It's no longer a hassle to wake them up. Overall, there was a lack of passion for teaching and love for the children. The location was more of a daycare where they keep your child alive than teach them love. Teachers did not play with children. You could just see that they didn't love their jobs. I witnessed a few book reading times and singing times where teachers sung with dead eyes and flat voices conveying that they were just going through motions. I feel like a bad parent for subjecting my child to this place. I caution any parent considering this school to visit and pay really close attention to all interactions between the teachers, the leadership and the children. Don't just base your decision on your discussion with them. If, when you see the above dynamic show itself, move along to any one of the other great preschools in Redlands. IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of other reviews are old and were posted in a close timeline indicating that possibly at one point they had a campaign to get reviews which speaks to the lack of credibility of those reviews.

We placed our daughter in AHCC at 2.5 years old and she grew exponentially in the 2 years she was with this center. In my opinion, the biggest accomplishment they help us achieve was stable potty training at such a young age. We were working on potty training and they were paramount in getting her to recognize need to go the bathroom and succeed in the task. Another aspect of AHCC that my wife and I loved was how awesome the entire staff is and how constructive they were to our daughter's growth. They were kind, caring, and respectful. They excelled in helping build personal and social relationships with my daughter and her friends. They instill in the littles everything that it means to be a good person and they give them the skills to be able to move on to the next step. They have fun water days when it's hot and also got to go on small trips such as touring the fire station next door. We wish we could have kept our daughter another year but she was approved for a dual immersion TK class in the local school district and unfortunately had to leave. We could not pass up that opportunity. Our daughter would not be ready for public school without AHCC and for that we are eternally grateful. The pricing is reasonable and the results are tremendous. We plan to continue to have a good relationship with AHCC as they have become somewhat family and plan to support them whenever we can. I can't speak highly enough of Azure Hills Children's Center and if you have any questions or concerns, they will glad-fully help in any way. The teachers here were very understanding about that fact and did everything they could to help him advance his development. It's been two years and our son is doing so much better! There's been so much improvement! He talks now, although not fluently but it's so much better than how he started off. He loves going here & enjoys his day with his friends & teachers, especially Ms. Meaghen! Definitely recommend!
