Valley Preparatory School - End of the day!

Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

Whenever you see someone in their element and enjoying themselves it's almost as though you are watching art being created! These teachers have an art of teaching that resonates with the young ones! I am so thankful that we were recommended by another mom to start our children in this school! This is the best program I have found through my research. A brick-and-mortem school is the old way of doing things in my opinion as this virtual learning and homeschooling seems to streamline the experience and waste less time. I tell everyone I know to try this out and every time they end up staying!

Staff is rude and treat parents as if they are a problem and bother to them. I was snapped at by a staff member when checking on the progress of my student's application. What this school does not understand is that we (as parents) are trying to plan for OUR students education and if our student is not admitted and enrolled then we do not want to wait until the last minute to find options. COMMUNICATION from this school is very, very poor even after they collect all of your personal documents. I am hoping someone in school administration see's this review and addresses the very poor attitude in the Registrar's office

Our boys are enrolled in the Spanish immersion program, and it's amazing to see them thrive. We started them in the Spanish program in kindergarten, and now they're pretty fluent. The facility has been great. The leadership definitely is well planned, and they're extremely thoughtful and caring for our kids needs. Knowing that they're surrounded by good educators, families and kids gives us a piece of mind for our kids growth. I would highly suggest sending your kids to this school. You will not regret it!

The experience at both schools was abysmal, I'm specifically writing this review for Arrowhead Christian Academy because I was a mentally troubled child that was expelled silently because of my depression. It's important to mention that the school was a major contributor to my mental state, my peers were bully's and the teachers and staff refused to do anything about such. Towards the end of my enrollment they had a meeting with my mother and told her I needed to be institutionalized if I wanted to go back to the school since I was exhibiting signs of self-harm. After a month long stay at a residential mental facility, ACA "politely" requested I did not return. The negligence and lack of care was detrimental to my young mind and took a lot of time and energy to recover from even into my adulthood. The teachers and other staff do Not practice what it is like to be a good Christian and are very judgmental towards kids whom are not exactly aligned with their peers. There is no world I would recommend this school to anyone.

The newly remodeled Mission Elementary School!!! Comes with its original bell from the 1800s or…read moresomething or another.... Discovered this school due to be a new alignment/school district adjustment. My daughter was going to Bryn Mar elementary. It is actually the reason we moved to Loma Linda. My daughter became diagnose with ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and was struggling in the San Bernardino School district. They assumed that she was living in a single parent home (something they seemed to ask my wife when she would go to the school...) Or they figured she was acting up. My daughter mine races at a constant. She doesn't really sleep. (When she was a baby it was horrible... just horrible. We eventually had to put a car seat in the bed with us and turn on Shrek.. for some reason she liked Shrek as a baby.... thank you Shrek!!! Anyway, she had a hard time siting in her seat let alone paying attention to what you are telling her. Once we got that figured out and a very light dose of a medication. She got much better. Bryn Mar was a new start and she was doing much better. Making friends, liking school. But then we received a letter with a map stating that we are now going to Mission Elementary. At first glance you think that is a large area being moved to a new school district. But then you realize that the apartment complex that we live in (Oasis Town Home) Is only surrounded by a VA Hosipital and a Baseball field you realize they are targeting the apartment complex. Naturally we tried to fight it. (It would be another school my daughter has to switch to. In San Bernardino it seemed like every grade was a new school) We lost the fight and was moved to Mission Elementary. I am pleased with the school though. New stuff. New computers. New playground. The teachers were very understanding and we got my daughter into a program to help with her learning. Putting her on a learning curve for things she is struggling with. My youngest started kindergarten there and he loves it. We tried to purchase a home in Loma Linda and we couldn't find anything that wasn't 50 to 100 years old. (Or someone selling for well over the worth of the property) Alas... we are moving to Riverside. New green homes. But for anyone looking, this is a great school to send your kids to. p.s. They also have the YMCA on sight for before and after school care. Low attendance for kindergarten so they didn't cover that grade level but was good for all the others.

The principal MINERVA, gives me vibes of racism due to my experience. She can tell me where I can't…read morepark but where other parents can. She is unprofessional and even threatened to call the police on me. She kept on saying " I keep getting into it with you" when it was only 1 encounter before and that was last school year. The most recent encounter was me leaving my car unattended because every time they say my kids names on the walkie talkie. My kids are never in the car and everyone else's kids are. Just on FRIDAY she was mad I was behind a dodge charger who was parked where it's blocking traffic and I was behind them. I was driving to a parking spot but I was blocked from all angles by vehicles clearly blocking traffic. So I waited so long then seen my kids both look at me and I walked in the middle of the parking lot to have my kids run to me while the principal minerva tries to tell me I can't park right there and my kids are literally coming off the side walk I proceed to grab my children. Mind you she didn't even talk to the cars who were blocking traffic or even the dodge charger who was blocking me. She threatened how she can make it to where I can't come on campus and I knew I had a case. Today I recorded how a car was blocking the drive thru lane while they were waiting for their kid they have the footage of that. Sad part is she didn't say anything. So discrimination is real and I'm glad she is leaving she is the worst & super unprofessional and I have another parent who also stated she felt the same way I felt. TEACHERS ARE AMAZING. LIKE THE TEACHERS ARE SO UNDERSTANDING AND THEY ARE VERY PATIENT.
