When I have to look at her every time I drop off my child at school and she has a smug look on her face. mind you that my child is a busybody. She's a child that you need to be on top of she is extremely intelligent she's also a three-year-old and we know how that is. This particular teacher was always happy to see my child and after the incident it was almost as if she didn't even want her in her classroom anymore and that's what I dealt with dropping my child off in that classroom after the incident every time! If you lack the education, you need to provide care for a busy child then maybe you should go collect your $16.50 or $16.75 somewhere else because these are our children not to be played with or treated as such because of any situation! This teacher also never reached out to me not in an email or a text message to even talk to me about the situation even as I passed her in the hallway recently, which is very upsetting. With this being said the Director of this daycare center was very attentive and helpful when I brought to her my concerns prior to my conversation with her about this teacher my child was switched to a different classroom, a classroom with two amazing teachers, that clearly have the patience and education that they should have to work with children! Teachers that genuinely care about our children are important and I'm thankful that my daughter has two of the best now at this daycare!! I was seriously thinking about switching my child to a whole different daycare because of this, but once she was moved to a different classroom with the two teachers that have dealt with her before on numerous occasions because she was sent to that classroom on numerous occasions due to too many children in one classroom, I am at ease now knowing my child is with teachers that value their job and care about our children! Laura the owner is a very sweet woman but when you question her competence she becomes very offended, she has no level of professionalism and relies on her trusty sister in law with a masters degree for legal advice. There were several occasions where I questioned my child's safety and I really wish I had not wasted my time here. Firstly if you would like to receive your child whole, this is not the place. Laura condones biting and fighting. On 2 separate occasions my son was bit by another child. The first time I said fine we can move forward. The 2nd time I was livid, she had promised if this happens again the other child would be asked to leave her day care. Not only did she not follow through with her end of the contract she gave every excuse as to why the other child bit my child and all she could say was sorry. When asked how can you ensure the safety of my child her response was " I apologize." I did tell her that the incident needed to be documented and reported she then stated if it was reported the state would laugh at this incident because it's "not a big deal" but, every incident should be a big deal. Secondly the last and final straw my son had an episode of vomiting, she called me freaking out as if he was vomiting like the exorcist. A child care provider should know exactly what to do in any event. The children at this day care are not fed a well balanced diet, which is why my son threw up. They're given pizza chips cookies and microwave foods. I was rushed and told to pick up my son immediately because he looked very ill. When I picked up my son I brought a bottle of ginger ale, by the time we had gotten home (we live fairly close) my son had been running and playing, there was nothing wrong with him. Lastly, late fees. I was asked to pay late fees because her day care closes at 5pm. I would arrive no late than 510 coming from Loma linda, in traffic, she made no exceptions. That is only because she has to rush her sons to their extracurricular activities. She mixes her family with business and only works to help people who only need part time child care. When I told her there was no need for me to come home and baby sit my child she asked me to find a different daycare. She stated you don't seem happy, and stated I am offended and you make me feel uncomfortable when you tell me that I'm not doing my job. I paid for exceptional daycare and didn't even get nearly close to that. When I asked for my deposit back because she the business owner wanted to terminate the contract she stated "no refunds." I don't know how this person is in business with children, the lack of education, professional and safety skills is beyond horrible.
