I used them to move my 100 year old full size upright piano from The inland empire to Los Angeles. They did an amazing job!! Frank was professional and courteous. They took very good care of my piano and my property while moving it in. Great communication. And the price was very reasonable. They went the extra mile to make sure my piano was safely in the house and even took the time to make sure all the parts were in good working order, setting up the little dowels and tiny screws that might have shifted in the move. Highly recommend Music in Motion! read more

Buying a baby grand piano sight unseen from Facebook Marketplace was a scary decision, but Frank made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He took the time to verify the seller's legitimacy and confirm the piano was exactly as advertised, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. Communication was excellent from start to finish, especially regarding pickup and delivery logistics. During setup, he thoughtfully offered multiple placement options to ensure the piano fit beautifully in my space. His professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail truly set him apart. On top of everything, his services were a great value for the level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail he provided. They've moved my piano 3 times. They did a great job each time! Great price and service.

Frank is punctual, communicative, professional and personable. My grand piano was in good hands.

Frank and his team are absolutely excellent! They are polite, kind, and go above and beyond in their work. My wife and I have requested 3 moves in the past 6 months, 2 of them being for a 7 foot Bosendorfer. They took excellent care of our pianos, and even after the move tried to buff out some scratches from prior movers who had done a poor job. They are very reasonably priced and extremely efficient; I would 100% recommend them for any of your piano moves. read more

Music in Motion quoted a very reasonable price to move a large organ from Laguna to Victorville. They were a little delayed to picking up the organ but kept everybody informed. They were extremely careful at the pickup house, and the former organ owner was well pleased with the care Frank and Dale took with the organ and her house. Once the organ was at the delivery point, the guys again very carefully moved the organ into place. There was no damage and everything still worked. I would highly recommend this firm for your musical instrument moving needs. read more

Frank did an excellent job for a fair price. He showed up exactly as planned and moved my "vintage" older piano with a lot of care.

100% great experience with Frank Schafer, owner of MIM. Arranged in advance of course, Frank arrived at the location to pick up my new piano at the precise scheduled moment. He texted me 30 min in advance to keep me informed. I don't know how, but he and his helper ably managed the move to my home of this 6'1" Yamaha grand. It was obvious from the first minute that these guys are super experienced. They carefully inspected the piano both before and after the move, wrapped it fully in quilted movers blankets, secured it thoroughly inside the vehicle, and handled it with great care the entire time. Oh, and did I mention that they are also both super nice guys? They are! They had come highly recommended from my piano technician/tuner, Herb Bridgman and I could not have been more pleased. If I ever need a piano moved again, Frank is the man. And they charge FAR less than a regular moving co. I'm a happy camper all around. read more

Outstanding! To start, my piano is ancient and massive, and had been in storage for nearly two years and was therefore quite dusty. Despite those challenges, they were friendly, polite, and extremely effective in moving it. They even dusted it and repaired a part that had detached when I foolishly moved it into storage without hiring professionals. Additionally, the spot I needed it moved to was challenging (to say the least) but they persevered and got it where it needed to go. I was really impressed with their skill and resourcefulness and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a piano moved. read more
