We would certainly know if they had not, as when we left after the repair we had a five-hour drive in temps up to 128 degrees! I introduce to you Redlands Auto Service, a shop that, from what I can see, truly cares about the community they work with. My daughter's Nissan Leaf developed an AC leak due to a ruptured pressure line and questionable engineering choices regarding how you can replace that line. A single bad component turned into several needing replacement that the dealership quoted nearly half what the car is worth just in parts. My daughter and I did the work and when it came time to recharge everything, Carlos was there. His quote was less than half than the dealership's and when we brought it in, he even replaced a bad valve that we missed during our work. His shop is worth your business. read more

Was extremely disappointed with my visit this time. Last year they were pretty good but when you spend a lot of money to get your car fixed and it doesn't run right when you pick it up, it's a real drag. What's even worse is when they refuse to even look at it or take it for another test ride and repeatedly blame it on all these other issues they said my car has. There ARE other issues that need to be addressed I agree but they aren't ones that would affect the way the car is running now. Work was done thoroughly and service was quick on a Saturday. So far, only down side is that the price quoted for OEM spec Denso/NGK Iridum spark plugs were more than 2x higher than online retail. Raymond is a good person but in all honesty I will never bring a vehicle here again!!! It has been 1 1/2 months and we have yet to get our car back some of it was to unforeseen circumstances for Raymond but having a car for 1 1/2 months is unacceptable for any repair! I feel like it's in worse off condition than when we took it there. read more

I should give zero stars....I should have looked at the reviews first. I live in Redlands and went there for a routine repair. They returned it with a broken catalytic converter. They said that would be another $1,000. I said nothing. My f150 has low mileage, all work prior to this was done at the dealership. I am the original owner and baby my truck. So I get the truck back and one week later, same issue. Nothing was fixed. I take it back, they keep it for a week then call to tell me the head gasket is shot. I know my truck. Now, I know crooked mechanics and a shady auto repair business. read more

Wow talk about vultures taking advantage of women. My wife went to this bag of leeches auto service to get an estimate on her brakes and these vampires informed her it would cost $472 because she needed brake pads and rotors for the front and back. I found it strange because it had just been a little over a year since they were last serviced. So I went and got a second opinion from a place with class and it not in the business of ripping people off and they informed me there was nothing wrong with any of the rotors and the only pads that had wear on them were the ones in the back. The service tech also said they had a good 2 to 3 months of driving on them. Well we went ahead and got the rear pads changed out for $169. I find it disgusting that Redlands Auto would openly lie to my wife in effort to rip off their fellow American. I did not fight in combat for cowards to have the right to crap on their fellow American as Redlands Auto does with pride!!! It's companies like this that DO NOT MAKE AMERICA GREAT!!! Don't come here for smog!! The owner charged me for smog even though he knows it would failed and still run the test. Did not offer free retest unless I get repair done at his shop. Took my car to G & G and they ran test again. Did not charge me until I passed. I recommend G & G if you need smog test!!! Don't go to RAS!!!!! read more

Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, skilled, honest service. What more could you ask for? Several friends had great experiences with RAS and referred me to this shop. I'm so glad I did. My car had trouble starting out of the blue. Of course, it started right up at the shop, but I still wanted it checked out. RAS checked out the whole car and their multiple tests found everything to be in good condition. It was a fluke and I was wished well without recommendations for any other parts/services. I was floored. I have never left left a shop without someone trying to "upsell" something (pretty much Industry SOP.) Right away I was comfortable with everyone there and I know this will be my mechanic from now on. Next shop I called for price comparison was 60$ for same vehicle, significantly closer to the 40$-60$ the DMV representative I spoke to about it said it would be. Starting out, whoever rated this place high does not know three important things: how to read people, how to bargain, or anything about cars. This place is dishonest as well as over priced. I was told one transaction figure over the phone-possibly to get me to drive over there- and then it tripled once I got there. Three mechanics all had the same shirt and name badge that read Raymond. Take a wild guess on what the owner's name is as well? Do not bother bringing a translator for broken English because their service is outmatched by plenty of other local services including honest mark's university auto off of church and Colton. read more

I was really impressed with Redlands Auto Service. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but I was really impressed with the service I received. It was a simple smog check, but I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. The owner, Raymond Klaib, was really humble and polite. For what it is worth, he gave off an honest vibe, which meant a lot - there are a lot of sketchy places out there.
