Finding a reliable, fair, and trustworthy mechanic is tough. The dealership always charges too much and many independent shops aren't any better. I introduce to you Redlands Auto Service, a shop that, from what I can see, truly cares about the community they work with. My daughter's Nissan Leaf developed an AC leak due to a ruptured pressure line and questionable engineering choices regarding how you can replace that line. A single bad component turned into several needing replacement that the dealership quoted nearly half what the car is worth just in parts. My daughter and I did the work and when it came time to recharge everything, Carlos was there. His quote was less than half than the dealership's and when we brought it in, he even replaced a bad valve that we missed during our work. His shop is worth your business. read more

Came here to get an estimate for my mom after she hit a curb pretty hard. Carlos had it inspected and got back to me that they would be able to fix it and get it back up and working properly and safe. His guys and him had the car finished in a few days and now it drives like nothing ever happened. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here if you need someone who is honest and friendly with great customer service!!! I found my repair shop and if you need one look no further!!! read more

I'm new to the area and came across Redlands Auto Service after reading several great reviews. I just needed a simple oil change and some general maintenance, and I'm really glad I chose this shop. Carlos and his crew were extremely accommodating, polite, and courteous the entire time. The pricing was fair, the work was done properly, and they took the time to make sure everything was handled right. I'll definitely be coming back for future services. If you're looking for a reputable place that's both trustworthy and reasonably priced, don't hesitate to give Carlos a call--you won't be disappointed. read more

AAA Roadside Towing dropped us off at Redlands Auto with a water pump that had given up the ghost in the middle of a long drive to Arizona and on a very hot day. Their lot was full, but Carlos went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of the best that they could. The techs in the shop were also very friendly and did an amazing job. We would certainly know if they had not, as when we left after the repair we had a five-hour drive in temps up to 128 degrees! We definitely recommend this shop; great service, fair pricing and reminiscent of family-run businesses where the customer is cared for. read more

The mechanics definitely are passionate about their work. Not only do they help you fix your cars but they educate you as well. They give a great and affordable service. read more

Took my SUV in to Redlands Auto for a break service and a few other minor things. Carlos communicated often throughout the process, was upfront about the cost, and got the job done quickly. I've taken other vehicles to them in the past and had the same experience. No complaints read more

Was extremely disappointed with my visit this time. Last year they were pretty good but when you spend a lot of money to get your car fixed and it doesn't run right when you pick it up, it's a real drag. What's even worse is when they refuse to even look at it or take it for another test ride and repeatedly blame it on all these other issues they said my car has. There ARE other issues that need to be addressed I agree but they aren't ones that would affect the way the car is running now. Actually the day after I picked it up it won't stay started at all and now I'm still without a car. I'm sure if I was a male, they would have at least looked at it. read more

Came here for a diagnosis of what I knew to be a catastrophic issue on my daughter's car. Carlos quickly and professionally diagnosed the issue and gave me 3 options. The engine needed a full rebuild and he facilitated the work in about 2 1/2 weeks. The price was reasonable and the work was great, she purrs like a kitten now. I would definitely recommend Redlands Auto Service for your auto mechanic needs. read more

Had a new radiator, support, thermostat replaced. Along with engine shield. Carlos found the OEM parts were expensive and checked on aftermarket parts that were almost half the cost. All together, total cost was half dealership cost and work quality as good or better. But, the kicker is, he secured the left side of front bumper that had popped out. That was really appreciated. Thanks again! read more

Not an actual customer I was going to take my car in and when explaining what the issue was one of the mechanics told me I could save money on a tow and service by trying a little trick and it worked RAS will definitely be getting my business from here on out. read more

Personalized service is all we've been provided with. From the first phone contact till our highly satisfied farewell. They even have your vehicle entered in the vehicle recall system where you get alerted with updated issues by manufacturer. read more

Work was done thoroughly and service was quick on a Saturday. So far, only down side is that the price quoted for OEM spec Denso/NGK Iridum spark plugs were more than 2x higher than online retail. Not sure if these require special accessories, but the invoice did not show that. Do your research on price parts if you know what you need before getting the service. read more

Got my squeaky belt fixed here for a way better price than other shops I checked in the area! Lois was nice and I'll be bringing my car back here in the future. I just moved here from Missouri so I needed a trusty car place in Redlands. read more

Raymond is a good person but in all honesty I will never bring a vehicle here again!!! It has been 1 1/2 months and we have yet to get our car back some of it was to unforeseen circumstances for Raymond but having a car for 1 1/2 months is unacceptable for any repair! I feel like it's in worse off condition than when we took it there. read more

Ray is a wonderful mechanic along with his team. We have had my husband's car serviced with him for years. He always works with us in getting the car back before we need it. He has also helped me with air in my car's tires even though I get it serviced at the dealer due to free oil changes. Great place! read more

I should give zero stars....I should have looked at the reviews first. I live in Redlands and went there for a routine repair. They returned it with a broken catalytic converter. They said that would be another $1,000. I said nothing. My f150 has low mileage, all work prior to this was done at the dealership. I am the original owner and baby my truck. So I get the truck back and one week later, same issue. Nothing was fixed. I take it back, they keep it for a week then call to tell me the head gasket is shot. I know my truck. Now, I know crooked mechanics and a shady auto repair business. read more

Amazing service! Stayed after hours to get us back on the road! Reliable and honest service! And we saw a Guadalupe Parade! Ray was sincere! read more

Redlands Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Redlands, California

Raymond is a kind, honest guy who will go the extra mile for his customers. I had a full tune-up done on my RV camper van about a year ago when I was in the Redlands, CA area, and I've been running strong (with better gas mileage!) ever since. Having a trusted mechanic is so important, and you can trust Redlands Auto Service! Thank you Raymond, Luis, and Jose! Wish you all the best! Mike read more

Wow talk about vultures taking advantage of women. My wife went to this bag of leeches auto service to get an estimate on her brakes and these vampires informed her it would cost $472 because she needed brake pads and rotors for the front and back. I found it strange because it had just been a little over a year since they were last serviced. So I went and got a second opinion from a place with class and it not in the business of ripping people off and they informed me there was nothing wrong with any of the rotors and the only pads that had wear on them were the ones in the back. The service tech also said they had a good 2 to 3 months of driving on them. Well we went ahead and got the rear pads changed out for $169. I find it disgusting that Redlands Auto would openly lie to my wife in effort to rip off their fellow American. I did not fight in combat for cowards to have the right to crap on their fellow American as Redlands Auto does with pride!!! It's companies like this that DO NOT MAKE AMERICA GREAT!!! I was looking for the 1/64th of a star to rate them but it's not on here. The one star rating I gave them is waaaaaaaaaaay too high. read more

Don't come here for smog!! The owner charged me for smog even though he knows it would failed and still run the test. Did not offer free retest unless I get repair done at his shop. Took my car to G & G and they ran test again. Did not charge me until I passed. I recommend G & G if you need smog test!!! Don't go to RAS!!!!! read more

Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, skilled, honest service. What more could you ask for? Several friends had great experiences with RAS and referred me to this shop. I'm so glad I did. My car had trouble starting out of the blue. Of course, it started right up at the shop, but I still wanted it checked out. RAS checked out the whole car and their multiple tests found everything to be in good condition. It was a fluke and I was wished well without recommendations for any other parts/services. I was floored. I have never left left a shop without someone trying to "upsell" something (pretty much Industry SOP.) Right away I was comfortable with everyone there and I know this will be my mechanic from now on. Five stars because of my experience and that of 4 friends/coworkers (who had actual repairs done there.) read more

I called for brake and light check and got a "SALE" price of 95$. Next shop I called for price comparison was 60$ for same vehicle, significantly closer to the 40$-60$ the DMV representative I spoke to about it said it would be. Just seemed like an outrageous price for no apparent reason. read more

They are always friendly nice honest and trustworthy! I always know my car is in good hands and never worry about being taken advantage of when I go here. Thank you RAS. read more

Starting out, whoever rated this place high does not know three important things: how to read people, how to bargain, or anything about cars. This place is dishonest as well as over priced. I was told one transaction figure over the phone-possibly to get me to drive over there- and then it tripled once I got there. Three mechanics all had the same shirt and name badge that read Raymond. Take a wild guess on what the owner's name is as well? Do not bother bringing a translator for broken English because their service is outmatched by plenty of other local services including honest mark's university auto off of church and Colton. read more

I was really impressed with Redlands Auto Service. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but I was really impressed with the service I received. It was a simple smog check, but I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. The owner, Raymond Klaib, was really humble and polite. For what it is worth, he gave off an honest vibe, which meant a lot - there are a lot of sketchy places out there. I'll go back there again for certain kinds of service, and if I have another positive experience, I might elevate the rating to five stars. read more

All employees and owner are friendly, polite and helpful. Seem honest and competent. I have had a few oil changes and smog checks here and it all went very well. I recommend. read more
