I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. I have nine animals and six have been patients. They have always been understanding and compassionate not upset with me when I forgot twice and fed my dogs and had to reschedule. Another time I had my one dog jambalaya try to eat everybody and they didn't ban her they just made me reschedule and gave me medication to calm her down. Doctors come out and speak to you if you have any questions. Been going for years. So thankful that they are there otherwise it would cost me eight to $900 to fix my animals. So if you have extra try to donate when you pick your animals up because this all cost money and they're doing the community a great service! read more

I had a fantastic experience at the Redinger clinic. I took our 6 1/2 month old golden doodle in for him to be neutered & was a little worried after reading some negative reviews. My experience couldn't have been better...yes, it does feel a little like a conveyor belt of dogs getting fixed, but they were very organized and answered all of my questions. Our dog was taken as soon as I walked in the door and I completed paperwork while waiting in line to confirm procedure and pay. Make sure u bring your rabies vaccination certificate or you will be forced to pay for another vaccine. This is all sent to u before hand, but there were others in line that seemed clueless. This is incredible value compared to our regular vet. I had our pup neutered & chipped plus bought a cone for $80. This same procedure was priced at nearly $400 at our vet. I picked out dog up at 3:30pm and he was in great spirits. They gave me 3 days worth of pain killers along with aftercare instructions. We are now past 2 weeks and he is 100% back to normal. No problem with infection or anything. It may not be as personal as your vet, but for a savings of $300+ - it was well worth it. So thankful for this clinic!! read more

I would give a 0 star but it won't let me. I called them back in July to setup for my kitten to be spayed, micro chip, and shots. They had some grant money from PetSmart and it was going to cost $50 for everything. I said let's book for now, they pushed it to September because she would almost be 6 months due to 1 of the shots. I get to the clinic and the same lady I spoke to Story completely changed. They told me I was a liar that my kittens was 7/8 months old. I explained that she was not her DOB was 3/10/17 therefore she is fine until 9/10/17. Again she said that her teeth said she is older basically saying I am lying! The next person in line they told her the exact same story but what made it worse was they already drugged her dog and she had to take him home medicated because she could not afford to pay the full amount. They told me the price is $80, because again I was lying about the age. The lady behind the desk had the audacity to say we can drop the price to $50 but you won't get the micro chip or shots. Like she was doing me a favor! Called me a liar, when they lied I have video recording of the conversation. I cannot believe Pet Smart would deal with such a place. The people who work here are amazing! We took our little girl kitty there last week to get her spayed. They must have done a great job, we have had no problems at all. She was back to her old self in just a couple days. They were so helpful from the moment we walked in the door. They even finished early and called us so we could pick her up a couple hours early. Very considerate! This is the second time we have used them. Happy both times. Love having the chip inserted just in case they get lost. Hopefully they will never get outside, but you never know. Was very clean, the workers were nice and answered all of my questions. I went to get my cat neutered and all of his shots, left with that and him also microchipped with $10 off the original price! I scheduled 3 kittens to be neutered/spayed, microchipped, shots, etc, on October 7th. One of the kittens became ill two days before scheduled appt. I contacted Redinger and advised, took Wilfie to local vet ($252 later he was sent home without a diagnosis and the usual antibiotic - Clavamox). I advised Redinger only two of the kittens would be able to have the procedures done - Wilfie would have to be rescheduled. At the time, there seemed to be no problem - they said just call when he was better and they would schedule him back in. I have called and left voice messages and sent emails, even got on a wait list. Well, now it is 6 weeks later and I finally got a call back. Advised the wait list is closed now, they have no record of Wilfie ever being scheduled and no record that I had prepaid for his procedure. Now I have to try and get in touch with someone at the Halifax Humane Society to sort all this out. I keep meticulous records so I have the receipt where I paid and initial emails where I advised he was too ill for the October 7th appointment. The only reason I started using Redinger is the price as I have a problem with feral cats hanging around my home and I have managed to TNR five so far. I remember a time when you could go out to the Humane Society get a reduced fee certificate and you were given a list of approximately 20 local vets you could pick and choose to make your appointment with. If every vet in this city were to offer up one day of their money grubbing time to assist - we would have the feral colonies cleared up in no time. You cannot walk into any vet now without an "examination fee" of any where from $45-$65 right off the bat and then it is add on after add on for blood work, etc., etc. and then they always send you out the door with that old standard "Clavamox" - I have been given this for every pet - dog or cat - for the past 40+ years. read more

Took our kitten in to be spayed. Because it's a longhair, Maine Coon, we had thought it to be female. They argued because of its tipped ear & nearly had to be forced to shave it's belly where they found no scar no tattoo. Yet could still not figure out he was male. Gave the poor thing no once over before cutting him open to find their mistake. While signing our pet into the clinic I witness the most horrific behavior towards a Veteran simply asking if there might be a Veterans discount. And this on Pearl Harbor Day no less. I thanked the gentleman for his service only to hear the nastiest most snarky "yeah, thank you..for yer ah service" from the receptionist. They were rude. read more

I had a favorable experience at the Redinger Clinic. I took my 2 female puppies in to be spayed, get shots, and be microchipped. Everything was very much as explained to me on the phone when I inquired about having the girls spayed, etc. I arrived prior to the appointment time and waited in a line outside the clinic for the doors to open. Everything moved pretty quickly since I already had my paperwork completed and was ready to go. They took me ahead of a whole line of people because I was prepared and had my paperwork completed PRIOR to arriving, so I would strongly suggest doing so. Most people were standing in line with their animals and trying to do the paperwork. Then there were only so many clipboards, pens etc. Just be prepared with your paperwork and there will be no problem. The girls were finished early and I was contacted that I could pick them up early if I wanted, which was nice. They were a little groggy after the surgery and slept most of the evening, but the next day they were fine. No problems with the incisions. We were given follow up medication and instructions. Everything could not have gone smoother. read more

If you care about your pet don't take them to Redinger Animal Clinic. I was referred to them thru the Halifax Humane Society for their low prices, but trust me it is not worth it. I showed up between 8 and 9 for drop off and noticed there were hundreds of pets being taken in for shots and surgeries all in the same day. How they do this is beyond me. I dropped of my 6 month old puppy for all his shots and a neuter. When I got him back all they gave me for "pain medicine" was an anti immflamatory. No antibiotics, nothing like that. Then I get him home and look at his stitches and they've done a HORRIFIC cut job and a downright aweful sew up job. (I recently got a job as a vet tech at a real animal hospital and have seen this procedure done myself, and have no idea how they could have screwed up something so simple!) Now the horrible sew up job has turned into an abscess which he will have to have further surgery for. Furthermore, my mom took in her chihuahua in to get spayed a week later, and she got the kennel cough shot, but still caught the kennel cough because of their UNSTERILE ENVIORNMENT! And when you sign the paperwork when you drop your pet off, it basically states THAT THEY WILL ACCEPT NO LIABILITY AND THAT IT'S AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more
