The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the Indian music playing in the background creates a calm, authentic dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate your preferences. I've enjoyed everything from the saag paneer, salmon, and a variety of curries to the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Every dish has been rich, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. The butter chicken is especially smooth and comforting, while the chicken tikka masala is packed with bold, well-balanced flavor. If you're someone who loves spicy food, they don't hold back! I usually order spice level 5, and trust me--it brings the heat, so order accordingly! I need to come back and take updated photos because it's been a while, but if I still lived on the south side, this would absolutely still be one of my regular restaurants. Highly recommended!

Portions are very generous and can easily have enough for 2-3 meals. The rice was nice and fluffy and the sauce was very rich in flavor. The Vegetable Pakora was by far the favorite. Nice and crunchy outside. The sauces each paired wonderfully with the dusting of spices/herbs. Not pictured but also got the Mithai Chaat and it was alright, would suggest picking a different dessert.

We also got the vindaloo and the naan, I will say the naan was a little weird and felt maybe slightly undercooked but the butter chicken was so good I didn't even need to get the naan. We ordered take out but we had to order it at the restaurant. I initially thought the staff was a little frazzled and tense but then the fire dept showed up and I realized one of the girls who was eating dinner ended up having a seizure right before we walked in. All things considered the staff handled it really well!

The Chakra Martini was refreshing and had a perfect kick of heat. I love spicy food, but not spicy drinks. However, this was just enough heat with a delicious refreshing flavor, it's now one of my new favorite drinks. We started our food experience with the Dahi Puri, which were delightful, popping with flavor. Another new favorite. The main course we shared was the Khuroos-E-Tursh and it instantly became my new go-to dish when I go for Indian food. The magic in that was two-fold: chicken medallions stuffed with a creamy spinach, mushroom, and onion mix, and the pistachio-creamy korma sauce. Absolutely magnificent. Not only was the food a 10, the service was impeccable as well. I will call out that we sat at the bar instead of a table, but we were immediately greeted by the bartenders, who were conversational, charismatic, charming, and all-around helpful. I highly recommend Clay Pit and can't wait to go back for more.

Ordered: Chicken tikka masala: 4/5 good flavor, chicken is an almost slightly dry but there's chunks of chicken. Garlic naan- 5/5 garlicky and so good that we ordered a second order. It was airy and light! Love it! Somasas- 4/5 cripsy on the outside and loaded with potato on the inside. The flavor was good and it was well seasoned. Chicken biryanis- 1/5 not sure why there was loads of rice and hardly any chicken. 95% rice and 5% small tiny pieces of chicken. For the value it wasn't a great deal. We were informed that on Saturdays and Sundays New Sintara have a weekend lunch buffet from 11am-3:30pm. There is over 33+ items to try for $24.95 per person. With that said.. of course we had to come back to see what's up with that.. The second time we went on a Sunday for their lunch buffet at 1:30 and this place was packed out the door. It's a super popular place and there was a waitlist to get in. We waited for about 35-40 minutes and were then seated. All of the food options were really great and I am happy to report the biryanis quality was better to meat and rice ratio. I tried the chicken and mutton biryanis that was excellent. My preferred the chicken more since the mutton was pretty spicy. There were so many dessert options and my favorite was the coconut cake. I am not sure what the red fried chicken tender dish was but that was my favorite. Do you recommend this place? Overall experience yes! I would do the buffet again but will come early when they open instead of later. This place does get pretty crowded and it's a great way to try everything to figure out what you like.

Definitely not a quiet or relaxing place, but the atmosphere is friendly and lively, filled with fragrant scents of spices. We order the butter chicken and the sagam spl mutton chops masala. The butter chicken didn't disappoint, just as good as last time. I asked for advice for a dish that was NOT rich or to spicy. The masala that I received was very spicy and there was so little meat, mostly bones in my bowl, perhaps 1-2 oz of mutton. We asked for some chai, with the milk on the side. We were served first coffee, which we had to ask to be exchanged, then the tea was good, but was served with the milk in, not on the side. Very, very small drink, tasty but definitely not worth the price. Perhaps our requests were lost in the loud environment or the translation, but they need to work on that. The flavors are good, strong and authentic, but be prepared to enjoy something you didn't expect. The plain naan was a bit for my taste.

I ordered from the Kid's Menu: Kid's Tikka Curry Bowl (gluten free) with chicken in a mild Tikka Masala curry over basmati rice. Other options are veggies or paneer. Served with a choice of drink. It was a very large portion for a child and great value for an adult: it was only $6.50. I even had some leftovers to take home! Service is very quick. They give you a number to place on the table and personally serve the food. I love the large colorful photos on the walls featuring subjects such as Indian spices, vegetables and a food truck with patrons standing in line to order. I will definitely go back and order from the other options. The Masala Bowl looks great!
