    Broken pipe

I contacted this company to address a slow-draining kitchen sink, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. The technician arrived with a poor attitude, complained about the sink clean-out location, and ended up breaking my pipe assembly where it connects to the floor drain. He blamed the damage on 'poor workmanship' by whoever installed it previously. After an hour of unsuccessfully trying to unclog the drain, he claimed the pipe was 'loaded' and said it would take at least two more hours of labor--at an additional hourly charge--with no guarantee of results. I was charged $139 for service that left my sink completely unusable. Another company quoted $575 to fix the damage caused, but luckily, a friend was able to drive over from Columbia to replace the broken assembly and clear the clog in under 15 minutes. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. After posting my initial review of Reddi Services, the company reached out and offered to reimburse me if I removed the review. I complied and took it down, but the promised reimbursement never happened. I'm not sure what kind of game they're playing, but this experience has left me very disappointed. I advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

    Estimate

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE CROOKS So a tenant of mine opened a maintenance request to the property manager regarding a toilet that wouldn't quit running. Property manager sent Reddi Rooter over to take a look. As you can see on the estimate, Reddi Rooter recommended replacing the toilet for $800. Property manager sent me the estimate to approve which I quickly said NO. I knew the toilet was only 1 year old so sent my contractor over. There was NOTHING wrong with the toilet. Flapper was stuck. These people will screw you over. STAY AWAY!!

This is the cable they cut and abandoned in our pipes after getting it stuck and collapsing the pipe.

In response to Reddi services comment on this review... I'm not a "customer" because our realtor was the one that made the mistake of sending you to the home we had just purchased. I will also contact Yelp, because this isn't for another plumbing company. This is 100% for Reddi services. I couldn't make this disaster up, even if I wanted to. We just got our home put back together this fall from purchasing in February. There is nothing that you can do at this point. We tried several times to contact management, and was ignored. We talked to a customer service rep, and never heard back. There was a "supervisor" that came out after the tech messed our pipe up, and just said it was our fault and we could pay to fix their mistake. So excuse me if I don't want to talk further with anyone about this, because nobody cared and wanted to sweep it under the rug when it happened. You want to act like you give a crap now only because I wrote a review telling the truth, and you want to save face. Like I told you in the private message, if this review helps even one person not go through what we went through, it was worth it.

Contacted the owner (Chase) on Christmas Eve(Sunday) after discovering no hot water and unable to light the pilot. Chase stated he would be here 9:00am Tuesday morning. After performing reviews on our current Whirlpool water heater, could not find a positive review for the unit, so decided no matter what the problem, would have a new one installed. Contacted Chase again to let him know to bring a new unit. Chase arrived on time and right off could tell he was very personable, professional and respectful of property. After going over the Whirlpool unit, he agreed it was time to install a new one. What gave me full confidence is his knowledge of the water heater unit operations, venting, chimney importance(flue through chimney) and root cause of the rust(and how to prevent it in the future) which had accumulated on top of the unit. Another factor was the expansion unit which was totally rusted, preventing water from entering. The goal of Chase's satisfaction was to make sure we were totally satisfied with the install, all questions answered and stepped us through the new unit controls, etc. He uses 'Bradford White' water heaters which are highly rated. Chase is a perfectionist, making sure the unit is level, good drainage and secured a couple copper lines which had broken away from the rafter. I will recommend 'KC Water Heaters' to anyone knowing Chase is the template by which all business owners should follow in 'outstanding' customer service. UPDATE: Last month(12/2025), noticed some water dripping from the overflow valve. Contacted Chase to explain the issue. He came out the next day in the morning and replaced the valve at no cost. After checking the main house water pressure, it was right at 80 which is considered high that may have contributed to the leaky valve. Chase reduced the pressure and everything is working fine. Even after two years, KC Water Heaters provides exceptional customer service.

Usually, it involves having someone out that is just there to get in and out as quickly as possible, doesn't want to be bothered by details, doesn't show a lot of attention to detail, and rarely cleans up well after themselves. That is not KC Water Heaters. I'm almost dumbstruck by how responsive, communicative, consultative / informative, and all-around thoughtful Chase was throughout the entire process. He arranged and quoted everything with a couple of brief phone calls and some photos I texted to him, all within a couple of hours...and then they were out the next day to replace a leaking water heater (showing up on time, no less!). He completely reworked the plumbing and drain lines associated with the water heater, and educated us on maintenance and the effects of water softeners on water heaters (wow, was that an eye-opener). All throughout the process, he even talked us out of more expensive, but unnecessary options, and redesigned the placement of the water heater to make it more supportable and safe. He literally thought of, and anticipated, everything. We could not be more impressed!

Air Care got back to me quickly and said they could come by on Monday between 9-11. There was one company that replied over the weekend but they had no reviews, so I didn't engage with them. Come Monday, Air Care was a no show, no call by 11:30. I called them and talked to Josh. He apologized and said their system didn't let them know I had an appointment. I knew I was texting with AI up to that point, so I accepted his apology. He told me they would have someone out between noon and 2. The technician showed up 20 minutes later and had the bad capacitor replaced and the spring service done in 20 minutes. Air Care came through in the end and got out A/C working again. My wife and I appreciated that and would hire them again.

On 12 January 2026, we noticed the house was cold when we woke up. After looking at our thermostat, I tried to change the batteries to see if it fixed the problem which it did not. We called Patriot at 10:06 am, explained our problem, and got on their list to send out a technician. Mike arrived at 11:00 am to check out system to determine the problem. I explained what we experienced with our heating system that morning and then he began his trouble shooting. After checking the furnace fault codes and operation, Mike came upstairs to look at the thermostat. He stated he needed to hardwire the thermostat to the system which he did in a few minutes. When the furnace turned on, Mike went downstairs to monitor fault codes on the furnace. He stated the codes cleared and that is all we needed for the fix. Our heating system has been working just fine since this repair. We always receive prompt service response from Patriot as well as service we trust when Mike has performed work in our home. We highly recommend Patriot HVAC.

I was able to easily set up an appointment online within a time frame that would work for me. They called prior to the technician coming out. The technician was professional and friendly and I feel like the quote they gave me was reasonable compared to other companies. They do charge a $49 service fee normally but that's relatively lower compared to other companies. The technician waived the service fee which was extremely nice and not expected. I did end up going with the company I normally use but only because they quoted me a lower price for the same thing but I would consider using Mission in the future if needed.

Be very cautious with Mission Plumbing, Heating and Cooling…read more My neighbor recently had Mission out for a service call; the problem was with the control board in the air handling unit. The tech had to leave to get a board, but was back within a half-hour and spent a little over two hours total, including the time to get a new board. The board was under warranty, so there was no cost for the board. He was charged $1,063.48, but given a 10% "over 65" discount, so total charge was $957.13, which works out to somewhere between, $320 and $479 an hour. The technician also said that he was lucky that the board was under warranty, otherwise it would have cost and additional $1,000 for the board (this was also verified by the service manager at Mission). We got the model number of the board, searched for it on the Internet, and found it on the manufacturer's website (Goodman) for less than $100. We contacted Mission to discuss with the general manager twice; he never returned our calls. We then visited Mission in person to visit with him, but he "was in a meeting", so we were directed to Gabe, who confirmed the charges above. When asked about the pricing for the board, we were told that it is not generated locally, but by Southern. Mission was purchased in April 2021 by Southern Home Services of Maitland, Florida, which owns 26 PHVAC companies primarily along the southeast coast of the United States. Southern is, in turn, owned by Gryphon Investors, a private equity company. So not only does Mission need to cover their overhead locally, they most likely need to also provide funding for Southern, who in turn possibly has to return cash to Gryphon. It all flows uphill. Southern also owns C. M. Mose, another local PHVAC contractor in the Kansas City area. Moral of the story: Mission may have been a good company at one time when it was locally owned, but it has changed. Get pricing up front. Question the technician. If you don't like what you're hearing, go somewhere else, and don't hesitate to go with a mom and pop; quite possibly they can do the job just as well for quite a bit less money. They don't have the overhead that the big guys do (especially if owned by private equity).
