One whole side of windows, floor to ceiling, bar span both sides and the food was great, probably one of the best skillets I've had in a long time. Fresh, not over seasoned and cooked perfectly. Only had breakfast here so this what I will speak to. Really good if you think the average "breakfast included" at a Days Inn is eatable! Menu reads "homemade biscuits and gravy" I doubt anything is homemade here. Biscuits were frozen (looked and tasted just like a frozen biscuit from Perkins) gravy was from a bag. Portions were extremely small. Serving of biscuits and gravy and redberry potatoes was actually one small biscuit with not much gravy and 2 small red potatoes cut in half for $9. Should've taken a photo. Bacon was microwaved. The only thing that may have been cooked fresh were the eggs and they were just alright. Restaurants need to stop claiming to be making "homemade food" when they clearly are not and charging and arm and leg. Service was OK until the server could tell we weren't happy. Still tipped her 25%. You can find a better breakfast at a better price many other places....I recommend you do so! But good for Troy, I guess. read more

We've been here several times now, & it's really great every time. Due to the crowds, the service can be a little slow, & there is often a long wait to be seated. Servers are friendly & the place is nice inside, but a bit loud. They have a couple of shareable "boards" including a very large pancake board with several pancakes & toppings, fruit, multiple types of meat. We're waiting to have at least 4 people to try this, but it looks great. Favorite thing there so far is the sawmill gravy. That gravy is the bomb. They also actually have the best oatmeal I've ever had. And I think the yogurt for the parfait is house made. The skillet breakfast is really great. The salads are very good too. The only things I've been disappointed with are the sausage patties, which are very tough & don't have much flavor, and some of the portions are on the small side. read more

The positives; nice area, really nice interior decor, plenty of staff, server was very friendly and professional. The cons; Overpriced, portions were small... The cinnamon roll was over cooked, the biscuits and gravy were very small portions for a nine dollar plate... It advertises a fresh scratch made biscuit... But it was actually not very fresh and certainly not very fluffy. The gravy was OK, maybe a 6.5 on a scale of 10... Stopped on this morning to try this place out. We love non chain places and I really wanted to love this one. The atmosphere is good. The service was great. The food was mediocre. We saw the chicken and waffles come out from the kitchen a few times and it looked very appetizing. Unfortunately our chicken was so dry it was difficult to eat. The breading had a nice flavor and the waffle part was good but overall I would hesitate to order it again. The other dish we went for was the big pancake charcuterie board. It's a really cute idea for my little family of four but again it overall fell flat for us. I would like to see them maybe do a true assortment of pancakes, maybe three different flavors instead of all the same. There was some nice fruit on the side but I would have liked to see some other toppings besides syrup and a small amount of jam since all the pancakes were the same. The homemade sausage was dry and I wasn't big on the flavor. The bacon was undercooked and the eggs overcooked. We might try this place again sometime but doubt we would order the same items. We need non chain restaurants so I hope they continue to thrive and maybe work out some of the flaws in the food. read more

My daughter and I arrived for breakfast at approximately 9:30am on Saturday September 9, and came into a nearly empty front dining room (which I should have taken as an omen of things to come). We ordered the "appetizer" cinnamon roll, chicken and waffle, and the brisket with eggs. There wasn't one redeeming quality to the entire meal. The $9.00 cinnamon roll had been heated in a microwave (and maybe not for the first time). It was so hard I had to use a knife, not to cut it, but to SAW into it to get mouth-size pieces. Its inside texture was more like biscuit dough than pastry dough, and we didn't even eat 1/4 of it. When our waitress asked how we liked it (upon finally showing up with our food), we expressed our dislike. Given the number of customers we saw in the restaurant, the food prep took longer than it should have. When my plate was put in front of me, I thought I had mistakenly ordered from the "light eaters" menu. The "brisket" was awful, very dry, and looked more like an over boiled cheap roast that was then just fork shredded and heated up on a flat top. It was like having shredded beef jerky, but without the (or any) flavor. My over easy eggs were totally overcooked, so having any yolk to help moisten my meat was not available. My so-called "Red Berry" potatoes consisted of two SMALL red potatoes cut in half, and then placed cut side down on the cooking surface until properly burnt. The insides were still hard, with no noticeable sign of seasoning. My daughter's dish consisted of a tasteless, and bizarrely shaped waffle, that looked like they just randomly placed the dough on the waffle iron to create "waffle pieces" that would not equal the volume of food she would have received had they simply made one full-sized waffle. Maybe there is a supply chain issue for waffle batter? The chicken pieces looked nice, but I guess they would have to charge extra for any seasoning or flavor. While our waitress was pleasant enough, she spent more time at the bar rather than in her presumed coverage area. Her co-worker that served the booth next to ours apparently only concerns herself with her assigned area. She delivered coffee to her customer and never even glanced towards our booth. If she had, she might have noticed the universally known sign that coffee cups on the edge of the table means somebody wants a refill. I know our waitress would have never seen this "sign" because the bar was on the other side of the dining area. If you know the old saying of not doing something again "even if you paid me", this is applicable here. Our waitress provided my daughter a $5 "coupon" for use on our next visit, so we would have definitely been grossly underpaid even if we ever came back. After paying $45 for this "food" (which only my eggs were fully consumed), I would eat day old hotdogs off the roller grill of a gas station convenience store before I waste my time and money eating at this establishment again. Lots of potential, but not quite there. Been twice now for brunch. Service has been fine, but food was ok to iffy. First meal was chicken/waffles (husband), southern benedict (me). Waffles were a bit too sweet with the pearl sugar, and my poached eggs had runny whites. Needed some salt as well. Second meal- breakfast burrito (husband), redberry skillet (me). Both our meals had sausage which was dry and mealy, probably overcooked. Not much flavor either. My veggies had no seasoning, potatoes didn't either. The gravy wasn't enough to pull together everything, even with extra salt or hot sauce. Might return, but probably not in a hurry. read more

We were seated on the outdoor patio in December which was an added bonus. I built my own omelet, in our group, some had a salad, others breakfast. Yes, trendy vibe, but a menu for everyone. Which is ideal. So the food was great, the service was great. We look forward to the next time. Also, 2 other added bonuses, it is a minute from downtown. If you head out over Adam's street bridge you can be at I75 in a few minutes. Last but not least! Is PARKING and there's plenty of it. Need I say more. We were in Troy today so in advance I looked up breakfast restaurants & spotted Redberry. I don't know about any food there except breakfast & I hate giving bad reviews but here goes. Coffee!!! One expects mediocre coffee in most restaurants but that's acceptable because most of the time you don't notice if you are eating that it's not special like you expect in a coffee shop; however, at Redberry, I would give the coffee a 1, I drank very little of it because it's pretty bad. To top it off, they give you the fake creamer packets which I think made the coffee worse. To be honest, the first sighting of those packets brought the restaurant down a lot in my opinion. For pity sakes, add a quarter to my bill & give me the real stuff...even McD's don't give you that garbage. Overall, this restaurant puts coffee at the bottom of their priorities and I know that they lose customers over it because coffee is so important for breakfast. I know that if their food was awesome, it would help but to us, it was mediocre...they make their food fancy but for breakfast, fancy is nice but quality is essential. I found the food to be very tasty at the opening - good variety of brunch items and unique recipes. Service was good for a new restaurant, a little slow but expected for a new place. Friendly staff. The complaint that I must voice is that front of house staff are not complying with recommendations for wearing masks. I find that to be poor public relations and regard for public safety. I hope that this does not result in poor attendance and /or shutting down what is a place with a unique concept. read more

Seriously disappointing. My best friend and I go out for weekly breakfast and have come here a few times. The food has been okay, but we came back because it is close and we wanted to support a local business. Today We were dumbfounded when our breakfast came to the table with a hair in the Redberry potatoes. The plate had toast, eggs, bacon with the potatoes in the center. Not only was there a hair, but our waitress actually said 'would you like me to just replace the potatoes?' We had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast twice this past week as we were staying in Tipp City. The restaurant is in a strip mall but don't let that keep you from what is totally the best breakfasts you will eat. Between my husband and I we had eggs over medium with Redberry potatoes and our choice of meat, bacon for me and sausage for him. On our next visit he ordered the bread pudding french toast, it truly was out of this world good! I had the homemade yogurt with a bit of honey, fresh fruit and homemade granola, again it was outstanding and the serving size was more than enough to fill me up.
