Full order biscuit/gravy side of eggs

Location alert!! Look for big brick bld that says "The Palace" on Broadway & 5th corner. Have to go thru bld or better enter on 5th where Attorney is on the door & diner will be right there. Nice small local establishment. Not huge menu. Hubby had full order biscuits/gravy with 2ggs coffee & I had half order biscuit/gravy with one egg. Very flavorable & nice portion sizes. Total bill $11.21!!!! Can't get any better. Many locals here. Counter seating with tables inside & outside in foyer of old very neat bld. Sevice fast & friendly. Give it a try-food good & love patronizing local business.

    Bad picture of the menu.

Double M Diner is a small intimate place located in a beautiful old brick building. Walk in, sit down where you like. The wait staff is very friendly and happy to give you plenty of time. I have ate breakfast and lunch here and loved my meals both times. Breakfast I got the biscuits and gravy with a side of fried potatoes. I am very picky when it comes to my fried spuds and can tell you they do them right! Crispy edges, done all the way through. The gravy was very good as well. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and chips for lunch. The chicken did not have much of any seasoning which was a bummer but did have good flavor. The chips were also just your run of the mill bag chips. They also have a salad bar and soups. Another great thing about Double M Diner is that the prices are hard to beat. Very cheap prices. I will continue to come back and try the rest of the menu! Make sure you bring cash as they do not accept cards.

Slow service, the tables weren't cleaned and it took forever. Zero sense of urgency. The food was decent.

Service was friendly, coffee was fresh, food was good, and the price was right for it all. I would definitely recommend for breakfast!

They forgot the whipped cream so I told them and they were so appoloigetic, which they really don't need to be. I understand that they can mess up some times and I really don't care because I have all the time in the world. An extra 1-2 minutes really does not matter. It is always calm and vibey and just has such a good aroma. Even If you don't order anything there, It is an amazing place to study for people with adhd who can't focus when there's too much or too little going on. When I had gotten my order everything tasted so good. Literally perfect, nothing I would change about it. That is just my opinion though. I recommend the Better than Sex cake. It was nice and chocolatey and had nice crunchy toppings. Overall, great place.

We live in…read moreShelbyville and we were told about this place while eating dinner at a Mexican Restaurant one evening. We decided to check it out for breakfast. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

We really liked this place in downtown Sidney. It was different. On our way down I -75 traveling to…read moreDayton, we were looking for a place that was relatively quick, easily accessible and not too expensive. That usually means choosing a fast food chain location. These chains serve their purpose but aren't much fun. This place popped up on Yelp and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is a short drive off the highway into downtown Sidney, taking about 4 or 5 minutes to get there from Exit 92. It was located in a retro building on the main intersection in town cross corner from the County Courthouse. Approaching from the West on Court St., it looked a little divey. It looks more pleasantly vintage from the Ohio St. side, which is actually its storefront. Our visit to this place prompted me to do some quick research. The Spot has been in business for over 100 years, opening in 1907. A fire destroyed the original building in 1940 and according to the local paper, "the current Art Moderne-style building was completed in 1941 and still features its original white porcelain tile, mid-century neon sign and iconic diner layout." It truly has a retro feel inside, going more or less for a 1950s aura where you would not be surprised to see Richie Cunningham sitting at a booth drinking a malt. Although the jukebox is digital, the upgrades enacted by the new owners who took over last year generally seem to be spot on. While it looks retro, the infrastructure is in nice shape with a clean, tidy appearance. It's a pleasant place for a meal. The format is walk-up-and-order. The girl working the counter was polite and efficient. To be fair in context, however, we walked in around 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night an hour-and-a-quarter before closing. It was not at all busy when we entered with one party there finishing their meal and only two others who walked in before we left. Hence, efficiency would be expected with no other customers to be served, but I'll still note the good work. The food was up quickly without any issues. We sat in 1950s comfort to enjoy our meal. I had the Turkey Club. It was quite good. I ordered mine with Onion Rings as my wife wanted to split these with me. She had the Swiss Lad sandwich, which she said was also very tasty. We split an Iced Tea which was likewise quite good. With everything, we spent $25.48 for dinner. At less than $13 per person, I was happy with that value. We'll certainly look for this place again when we are passing through Sidney.

Loved the sign that said "Table of Champions" I always like it when a restaurant recognizes their customers and appreciates them. We will be back, plan on going up to Sidney again next week.
