The organization I work for provides footwear for work And at $200 per boot tag every year you get quality boots. This store has a big variety of boots. The pair I get cost $229 plus my discount all I pay is $7 out of pocket you can't beat that I'm lucky because all the other jobs I've had none have paid for my boot wear. Spent almost $500 on a pair of work boots and insoles simply asked for them to be stretched out around toe was basically denied the service. Been having them done that way for years guess I wont be going back for any more business after that. Should of went to another location very disappointed with the service. read more

"A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing."-- Emo Philips I'd like to preface this review by saying that I am actually a fan of Red Wing shoes and have been a loyal customer for almost 25yrs now. However, since at least Nov '20 they've been having some kind of "computer issues"* and unable to access their inventory and order shoes from other stores or the factory. Now for most people this isn't an issue-but seeing as how I *ALWAYS* have to get my boots special ordered and they also have to match certain safety criteria for werk, it basically means I'm fucked. Out of loyalty I've been patient and given them over 3 months now to get the problem resolved but to no avail. So as of today I'm done with them. My boots are worn to the nub and I need new ones. I guess I'll have to go to the "other guys" (rhymes with "Schmeck's") even tho their boots are trash. But at least its trash I can wear... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *I suspect they've been compromised (i.e., hacked) but have yet to admit it which is shameful in an of itself. read more

There were barely any shoes here! I came in & the worker was nice & came right up to me to ask what I was looking for. I read online that they sold Keen's shoes there. I was looking for a women's Keen's hiking sandal. I told him I was looking for a hiking sandal & he laughed at me. "What's a hiking sandal??" There are tons of brands that make women & men's hiking sandals (Keen, Merrell, Ahnus to name a few) so I was surprised that they did not carry 1. The selection was extremely limited. read more

I have worked for my company for eight years. In the past seven years, I got my shoes from Red Wing. Since I moved to relocate to California, I got my shoes from the store on Blossom Hill Rd. ( RED WING - 447 Blossom Hill Rd San Jose, CA 95123. Today I dealt with "Karen" - she mistreated me from the first minute. She even didn't approach and ask if I needed help. Maybe my face or my accent. Until now, no one asked me for ID when I asked to try shoes. I guess there is always a first time. It is the first time that someone is suspicious that I will not pay. I was planning to spend around $250. If you mistreat me, you can't fix it! I am going to spend my budget somewhere else. read more

My husband USED TO love this place for getting the toes on his work boots dipped. In previous experiences the older man who did them was wonderful. He would clean up his shoes fix the toes a little so they would be smooth prior to dip. He would change the laces so they were fresh. But not this time. First I was greeted by a rude woman. I gave her my ticket in mind I was about 4 days after they said they would be ready. She brings them out saying oh they're wet and I was confused and told her these were supposed to be done days ago she shrugged rudely at me as well as the woman dipping shoes at the side of the store responded oh ya I just finished those. I then asked they wet and you're wanting me to put them in my car?? She said uhhh ya. I told her I needed a box at least considering I lived 40 min away and could not come back. Both of these woman were unprofessional and rude. I left the store annoyed without checking the shoes out clearly and it was dark. I looked at them after leaving as well as my husband and they look like straight crap. I will not be coming back see pics for reference. They got the dip on the side of the boots, didn't clean them up, didn't change the laces. BS! read more

Had a great experience with Anne this morning and thought I'd share. Went in for new boots and told her the issues I've had in the past. She found me my favorite boot in the correct size and suggested mink oil, which she uses on her own boots, to soften my new ones quicker. She let me know it would darken the color a bit but that it'd help with what I wanted to accomplish. She was knowledgeable and no nonsense which I appreciate. Top notch experience and I'll be coming back to her with my future boot needs. read more

Been coming here for the last 3 years and today I had the worst experience ever with Patty the Manager. Prior my experience there were 2 customers the left Unsatisfied because of her. Great store experience!!!! The lady and the gentleman working at this store deserve more than 5 stars! The store has a lot of sizes in stock and a lot of variety. The staff is very knowledgeable and I was greeted the moment I came into the store. D Lady who helped me was so knowledgeable with all the shoe features, the difference between them and was cordially giving suggestions. I got my size as she suggested and i was out of the store after 10 minutes! I got the shoes I wanted and I got helped the best way I never thought I'd get! I was a regular at the store in Oakland Road for more than 10 years until I got treated different by their sales associates . My last experience there was all the opposite of how i got treated at the Blossom Hill Branch. This branch is farther from where I live, but it sure feels to be like home shopping here!!! read more

I would definitely rate this location a zero star rating. Horrible customer service with 3 workers and a limit of 2 customers allowed inside at a time. Frankie and the older employee were extremely unprofessional and rude. I called before heading over to ask some questions and was told different once I arrived. I would recommend re-training the workers here as they are so unwelcoming and really convinced me of the worst shopping experience of my life. They also don't know how to read and validate a voucher provided by my essential employer. I drove all the way to the Stevens Creek location after and was treated the way a customer should be treated, with only 1 employee working the entire shop with a 3 customer limit. If you dont want to drive to another location, there is a Becks Shoes 2 minutes away. read more

Red Wing - Rick stars! - Shoe Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

We drove from Monterey to the San Jose to get the Red Wing experience that was explained on the website. We were expecting to be fitted and have a knowledgeable sales person help us! This is not at all the experience we had. The woman working there was incompetent. She would not size my husband and would not listen when he was explaining to her what he needed. She kept talking in circles. To the point we got so frustrated and just walked out. Waste of a drive if you get this sales associate. I did not catch her name in the frustrating process. I wish I had. I will be calling corporate. read more

Having waited for 20 minutes nobody helped me. I was finally able to get to the attention of a worker and they RBF in all 3 women working was ridiculous. No hello or hi. Nothing but attitude. When I asked about a shoe she said she's check, came back and helped another guest instead of talking to me and my husband. Another woman approached us to help and didn't even check the back, said no we don't have it, again negative 5 on customer service and friendliness. I'll not be coming back to this location. For $200 work boots a smile would be nice. Or basic minimum customer service. read more

Had the most worst experience today here at red wing store on blossom hill I been a regular customer since 2009 and nvr gotten customer service like I did today some girl working here who has red or pink hair was the lousyiest employee ever come to find that she gets complaints all the time I would not go to this store ever again I drove to another store told them about the situation and they said they heard about this employee how bad she was so I called the regional manager and he apologized for everything I still will be loyal customer to red wings shoes just never go to blossom hill store as long as they have her working there read more

This is a wonderful sales staff and a great environment; their products are top notch, too! I own a pair of their dress shoes and a pair of their boots, and not only do they fit well but they've been through a lot - I'm hard on my shoes. They keep on ticking and they feel great! I have very wide feet, so it's hard for me to shop for shoes. This location caters to those of us who are square or flat footed, and the service is impeccable. The prices are high, but fair for the quality shoe you are buying. ALSO, they do replacements of all the small things - shoelaces, soles, etc - for FREE for the lifetime of the shoe! It's GREAT! A+ ladies and gents. Love this place. read more

I didn't purchase my boots from this store directly, so my review is entirely based on the customer service given at this place and most likely all the other franchises as well. If you own ANY pair of red wing boots, you can get it cleaned, and oiled for free. For. Free. Dude. It sounds a little silly because it's cleaning your shoe and oiling it for God's sake! But trust me, if you own a pair of full leather grain boots and you're in the process of breaking that baby in, oh yeah, it hurts like a motherf---er. But all my past girlfriends have always said they would suffer a bit for fashion... so why can't men? Listen guys, if you want to step your game up, don't be wearing that cheap ass sketchers "get your ass right" ugly ass shoe, you need some damn boots. Whether it be from red wings, or aldens, whatever, get your shoe game up son! Fall & Winter seasons is the time for you guys to get some boots, so seriously, stop wearing sketchers in the middle of December. Get your game right. And free cleaning and oiling son. read more

I've been to a few different reading stores and by far this store has the most knowledgeable & courteous staff..... Recently i bought a pair of boots and within 3 weeks found out they leak .... Took them in & told them, they swapped them out no problem...... Unfortunately the new set had a leak about 2 weeks later , & again swapped them out after checking the boot out ..... They resoled my irish setters faster than they said it would .... Also having some one that will sew the boot up or put on new tabs for my laces is a huge time saver for me . I greatly appreciate this stores staff ! read more

My Dad traveled all the way from Hollister to order boots the other morning. Expensive boots. No hours are posted on the Yelp page and no hours are on their phone recording. Since this is a "working man's" store, he estimated they would open at least by 9am. He had to wait for an hour until they would have opened at 10am. But at 10am instead he found two employees also waiting for the "key carrier". One employee told him he could go away & come back in another half hour. After an hour's travel and an hour's wait, he had work to do and couldn't wait any longer. He does not plan on returning. read more

Came in to do an exchange, I was told the day of purchase, if for what ever reason, I didn't like them I had 30 days comfort guaranty. I wore them for one day felt uncomfortable, And came in to do an exchange. The exchange was denied due to them being used. How is that? How are you going to feel the comfort if you can't wear them out to the field!!!!! Please be aware before you make the purchase. Horrible experience! Never again would I purchase from them. read more

Very poor customer service!!!! Bought a $350 pair of boots less this a year ago. One of the boots gave me really bad pain. Boots still had a lot of life in them instead of giving me a full warranty. The manger made me buy a new pair at 50% off. Redwing didn't hold there word on the warranty. What I'm saying is I had a fairly new pair of boots but one of them had a defect. The left boot. They would not here me out and I had to buy a new pair. Witch sucks cost me another $150 even know it was 50% off. I don't ever see my self going to this place agin. F+ Rude manger. I've been here a few times and today will be my last. I came in for a pair of shoe strings for my Heritage boots. I was given a 36" and was told that's all they carry. I asked if they were the right size and was again told " that's the only size they carry". Well I looked at the back of the package myself and sure enough it was the wrong size. I don't need to make multiple trips because of a salesperson selling the wrong product or size read more

Got the boots I needed in my size. Great boots, great service. Plus they replace broken shoelaces and will stretch your boots for free for you if they are a bit tight. My only complaint was the fact that the insoles didn't fit so I had to buy ones with taller arches and throw the other ones (brand new) away. And those things aren't cheap but oh we'll I needed them to fit. That's the reason I took away one star otherwise five stars read more

Went here looking for some iron rangers and was told they didn't have my size. It turns out iron rangers run 1-1.5 sizes smaller, but the person didn't tell me this and told me to check out another store for my size. Felt like they didn't want me there, oh well. read more

Iv been a faithful patron of this store and redwing boots for about 15 years. Recently iv had nothing but problems with the quality of boot redwing is making these days. The last set of king toe boots wore out in the back of the heel and came unlamented now this set of boots has completely snapped in the middle. Redwings used to to be the boot made by Americans for hard working Americans now there boots made in China for fashion modeling on Instagram. Take a good hard look at what your paying over $200.00 for because there are boot companies made in the good oll USA still that take pride in what they craft and sell . If I break down how much I pay for boots by the time they last these redwings wear out at a more expensive price faster than anything else I use at work. This has not always been the case. Now go out and take a good hard look at the redwings you have in you closet and ask yourself is it important to buy work boots that work for me or boots that wear out for me. read more

The workers here are very helpful and go out of their way to find exactly what you are looking for. I came here looking for shoes for work and of course having small feet (size 5 1/2 in women) I knew that they were not going to have a large selection for me to choose from. They had 2 work boots that looked pretty decent to me. I eventually chose 1 of the 2 boots. I really wanted the other pair because they were my size, but they didn't come in steel toe which is a requirement for my line of work. So I ended up getting the other ones that were 1/2 a size bigger. On the boots I noticed that there was glue all around the sides of it. I asked if they had another pair which of course they didn't. The worker helping me found a pair at the Stevens Creek location, which was 15 minutes away, and was in the process of having them sent over to their store. I told her that I would just go to there and pick them up instead of waiting till Tuesday for them to arrive. So she asked the workers at the other store to save the shoes for me. Thank you so much for all your help, you are appreciated. :) read more

I agree. very wonderful sales people. I needed a comfortable, reliable work shoes for my dad for his bday. My dad's a contractor and i have no idea what kind/ style to get him. They were very helpful in helping me choose the right shoes. my dad's around 70's so they did suggest the one that is light, and not-so-rugged looking shoes. I was very thankful. The price was not bad for the quality of the shoes. And they were right, my dad did like the shoes and wears them all the time. read more
