Now for most people this isn't an issue-but seeing as how I *ALWAYS* have to get my boots special ordered and they also have to match certain safety criteria for werk, it basically means I'm fucked. Out of loyalty I've been patient and given them over 3 months now to get the problem resolved but to no avail. So as of today I'm done with them. My boots are worn to the nub and I need new ones. I guess I'll have to go to the "other guys" (rhymes with "Schmeck's") even tho their boots are trash. My husband USED TO love this place for getting the toes on his work boots dipped. In previous experiences the older man who did them was wonderful. He would clean up his shoes fix the toes a little so they would be smooth prior to dip. He would change the laces so they were fresh. But not this time. First I was greeted by a rude woman. I gave her my ticket in mind I was about 4 days after they said they would be ready. She brings them out saying oh they're wet and I was confused and told her these were supposed to be done days ago she shrugged rudely at me as well as the woman dipping shoes at the side of the store responded oh ya I just finished those. I then asked they wet and you're wanting me to put them in my car?? She said uhhh ya. I told her I needed a box at least considering I lived 40 min away and could not come back. Both of these woman were unprofessional and rude. I left the store annoyed without checking the shoes out clearly and it was dark. Had a great experience with Anne this morning and thought I'd share. Went in for new boots and told her the issues I've had in the past. She found me my favorite boot in the correct size and suggested mink oil, which she uses on her own boots, to soften my new ones quicker. She let me know it would darken the color a bit but that it'd help with what I wanted to accomplish. She was knowledgeable and no nonsense which I appreciate. Frankie and the older employee were extremely unprofessional and rude. I called before heading over to ask some questions and was told different once I arrived. I would recommend re-training the workers here as they are so unwelcoming and really convinced me of the worst shopping experience of my life. They also don't know how to read and validate a voucher provided by my essential employer. I drove all the way to the Stevens Creek location after and was treated the way a customer should be treated, with only 1 employee working the entire shop with a 3 customer limit. I've been to a few different reading stores and by far this store has the most knowledgeable & courteous staff..... Recently i bought a pair of boots and within 3 weeks found out they leak .... Took them in & told them, they swapped them out no problem...... Unfortunately the new set had a leak about 2 weeks later , & again swapped them out after checking the boot out ..... They resoled my irish setters faster than they said it would .... Also having some one that will sew the boot up or put on new tabs for my laces is a huge time saver for me . My Dad traveled all the way from Hollister to order boots the other morning. Expensive boots. No hours are posted on the Yelp page and no hours are on their phone recording. Since this is a "working man's" store, he estimated they would open at least by 9am. He had to wait for an hour until they would have opened at 10am. But at 10am instead he found two employees also waiting for the "key carrier". One employee told him he could go away & come back in another half hour. Iv been a faithful patron of this store and redwing boots for about 15 years. Recently iv had nothing but problems with the quality of boot redwing is making these days. The last set of king toe boots wore out in the back of the heel and came unlamented now this set of boots has completely snapped in the middle. Redwings used to to be the boot made by Americans for hard working Americans now there boots made in China for fashion modeling on Instagram. Take a good hard look at what your paying over $200.00 for because there are boot companies made in the good oll USA still that take pride in what they craft and sell . If I break down how much I pay for boots by the time they last these redwings wear out at a more expensive price faster than anything else I use at work. This has not always been the case. Got the boots I needed in my size. Great boots, great service. Plus they replace broken shoelaces and will stretch your boots for free for you if they are a bit tight. My only complaint was the fact that the insoles didn't fit so I had to buy ones with taller arches and throw the other ones (brand new) away. And those things aren't cheap but oh we'll I needed them to fit. That's the reason I took away one star otherwise five stars read more

The workers here are very helpful and go out of their way to find exactly what you are looking for. I came here looking for shoes for work and of course having small feet (size 5 1/2 in women) I knew that they were not going to have a large selection for me to choose from. They had 2 work boots that looked pretty decent to me. I eventually chose 1 of the 2 boots. I really wanted the other pair because they were my size, but they didn't come in steel toe which is a requirement for my line of work. So I ended up getting the other ones that were 1/2 a size bigger. On the boots I noticed that there was glue all around the sides of it. I asked if they had another pair which of course they didn't. The worker helping me found a pair at the Stevens Creek location, which was 15 minutes away, and was in the process of having them sent over to their store. I told her that I would just go to there and pick them up instead of waiting till Tuesday for them to arrive. So she asked the workers at the other store to save the shoes for me.
