The service here is simply the best one can expect here in Bloomington - Normal... Which in and of itself is not a high standard. Mediocre disinterest and incompetence seems to be the common theme amongst restaurants in particular. So let's say this: the folks here at Adrian's / Red Wing provide a quality of of care for their customers that is hard to find anywhere. The staff are professional and enthusiastic and really know their stuff... I've purchased three pairs of boots from this group and all three are exceptionally well made and comfortable. As a driver for UPS I put my footwear through utter hell and my red wings are more than up to challenge. One pair has been in service for 3 years (I did have to have the soles replaced once). Another pair has been with me for 4 years and has only needed its lace loops replaced- which red wing did for free. Tonight I strolled in to nab two pairs of laces for my driving boots. I walked in, they checked the height of the boot handed me the replacements and said see ha later bud! See? Service. I paid nothing for those laces. Always have great shoes that fit I have a right foot and I love Adrian's and I will be there again in like two weeks to get me some shoes the last pair but I'm still wearing them. They're so comfortable I love them they're the best they measure your foot they do everything they can they help you. They will also repair any shoes. You have their lovely. read more

My mom and grandpa came in here the other day looking for shoes for him. The woman there that helped them was extremely accommodating and helpful. My grandfather is 90 years old and has a few foot problems, she went completely out of her way to help him find shoes that fit him. She spent well over an hour making sure he was happy with the shoes he picked out. We're very happy with the service and even more happy that he now has shoes he can wear for winter! Adrian's has great selection and excellent customer service. Their associates are exceptionally well trained and have thorough knowledge of common foot problems. I am frequently surprised that their shoes are equally stylish and comfortable. Edited to add, their cobbler does an amazing job at shoe repair. After wearing a very expensive pair of boots only one time, I completely trashed the heel. Adrian's cobbler repaired it to mint condition. I visited the store on 10/3 to buy a pair of new boots. I had heard for a long time about the quality still found in Red Wing shoes and boots and so far I can see it. I was there for over an hour trying different pairs of shoes on until I found the right ones. Aaron (not sure on the spelling) had _awesome_ customer service skills and was more than patient with me. I had no idea what I wanted except for the height of the shoe. We went through several styles and sole types until I found some that fit me great. We used the shoe sizer thingy which I personally thought sized me a bit small but the truth is it seems my foot is between sizes in width. I also tried the orthodics machine as well and confirmed the kind I need. Today you don't find service like I experienced today. The staff was VERY helpful and patient. They did not push sales but recommended different options. The thought of trying a pair of shoes/boots for 30 days is AWESOME! The thought of being able to have the leather treated for free for the life of the boot is Awesome! The thought of never having to buy shoe laces for the life of the boot is Awesome! The piece of mind that they will fix any issues with the upper parts of the boots (stitching, eye or loop damage, or other issues) is awesome! Bottom line this is service you don't see often nowadays. I was so happy I wound up buying two pairs actually! Keep up the great work, you gained a VERY a happy customer today! read more

Many people told me this place is the best. I took a pair of shoes there once about two years ago. I was unimpressed. They did not do what I asked, and had to do it when I came to pickup the shoes. Today I gave them another chance. I dropped off five pairs of shoes/boots. If they do a great job I will have more shoes serviced there soon. read more

Have used them in the past with decent results, but this time dropped off a pair of boots for new soles, took over a week to get done. The first time the boots were worn the heel came off...20 miles from home with no other shoes to wear! Took them back to the store and they said it'd be another week to fix, but they wouldn't charge us. They would call me when completed. I thought that was mighty nice of them, since they did a poor job in the first place. I requested a sooner repair date, but just got the usual put off. I waited 10 days, and they still hadn't called me like they said, so I called and checked with them...oh,, yes, they were done. No explanation as to why they didn't call and inform me like I had been told. When I try to voice my frustrations, I only get some high school help to talk to, I feel it's not going to anyone that cares or anywhere that will make a difference. Will be looking for new options next time we need repair service. read more

I have had three foot surgeries and have flat feet so I am VERY picky about my shoes. I have had great help from the staff at Adrian's, especially Ashley who seems to know just what I am seeking!
