Yelp: We entered Shoe Carnival on 06-25-23 and we felt we had interrupted something, a meeting or, well we didn't know. Out of the six people, we saw only one staff spoke to us or asked us if we needed help. several staff, they were just rude and passed by us like we were not there. One was borderline rude and mumbled, do you want help? What seemed to be the manager was rude as she could have been. Very short answers no I contact and mumbling. We spent a fair amount of cash and the young woman who checked us out took seven times to complete the TOTAL check out and spent a long time checking a $100 bill that I gave her. Rude uncooperative staff. I went to purchase a new pair of running shoes. I was prepared to spend $200 in the store on a pair of Airmax Nike 270. While they didn't have the exact shoe I was looking for; they had a few other Nike's that I wanted to try on. The cheaper shoes have both shoes in the box. I tried a pair on and then tried on a pair of Nike Airmax which only had one shoe in the box. I hobbled to find an associate and was told by the lady at the register to ask the ladies chatting with each other in the back of the store to retrieve the other shoe for me. After hobbling back with one shoe on, I asked the associate for the mate to this shoe so I could try it on. I was told I could not try on the mate. Puzzled, I asked why? I was told it would only be given to me at the register, after I paid for the shoes. I explained that the shoe I was wearing was rubbing on my heel and I wanted to try on the opposite shoe to see if it rubbed (I believe my heel was tender before trying on the shoe). I was told no. I explained I wanted to purchase these shoes but I came into the store expecting to be able to check the comfort and fit first. **Spoiler alert** I was not allowed to try on the shoes, no apologies, no explanation, rude! I came home and ordered directly from Nike. The shoes are being delivered Thursday. Free shipping plus a 60 day return window if I am not happy with them. I was trying to buy local to keep area businesses in our community; but I received zero customer service and was treated like I was going to steal the shoe. The clerk could have held my ID while I tried it on, or she could have simply taken the shoe that was in the box and traded with me. The bottom line is that she was uninterested in assisting the customers. When you can't get service, you shop online! I will never go back. read more

I ordered a pair of Frozen II shoes for my granddaughter online. When I got home, I looked at the shoes and they didn't match. I had to make another trip to get a matching pair. The store only gave me $5.44 off the shoes to compensate for my time and gas. I really think they should have given me a better discount. read more

I went to shoe carnival to buy a pair of boots and unfortunately they did not have my size. Due to the unavailability, I was told that the boots could be ordered and shipped to my house. The guy ordered the boots, got my information, received my payment, and then I left. I had a suspicion that something was wrong, so I went over my email order confirmation and sure enough, the wrong boots had been ordered. No big deal, mistakes happen. I then go back the next day to figure it out. Long story short, the order could not be edited and the option I was given was to order the correct boots and then swap them out with the wrong ones once they arrived at my house. However, I had to pay for the boots a second time for the order to be placed. I understand the logic behind the ordering process, but I just think that it is extremely unfortunate that I would have to literally pay for their employee's mistake/negligence. I am writing this review because I think something could possibly be done to accommodate future customers with issues like this one. My takeaway from this experience is that you should always review your order with the employee who placed it before leaving the store. I take part of the blame because I wasn't initiative in doing so, but I also perceive the employee as negligent for not going over the details with me to make sure that everything was correct. In the meantime, i'll just wait for these boots I don't want and hope that they have the correct ones in store when I go to return them. read more

Has a lot of selection and if you want a pair of shoes that's not in stock you can get it shipped to your house for free if you sign up for their point reward system. I like to go here for browsing but usually don't buy anything. It's worth a try though. read more
