I have only been in this store once, but I noticed that it was not on Yelp, so I want to make sure people know about this new store. It's in downtown Bloomington, by the Coffee Hound and Reality Bites and in every way, this place looks like a fancy shmancy women's clothing botique. There isn't a very large selection or much inventory, but my wife liked most of the items in the store. Guys - the reason that you should care: the prices are very reasonable. I bought my wife a birthday gift of a pair of boots for $38. I don't think that there were any boots over $45. Most of the clothes that I saw on the rack or folded on tables were between $30-50. One thing to know is that all sales are final, so you might want to make sure that you know your girl's size if you plan to pick something up. read more

Gigi Bottega is hands-down my favorite place to shop in Bloomington-Normal, and it would be one of my faves almost anyplace. Just down the street from some great coffee shops and restaurants, they have a well-curated selection of very reasonably priced on-trend clothing. I'm in my 30s and find really great casual/creative professional work clothes there that I always getting compliments on (not suits or really structured pieces, I am talking great tops and jackets). Clothes for evenings out (bars, clubbing), and some cute wedding-guest appropriate dresses are also available. They have a great selection of fun statement jewelry. I can't walk out without something semi-ridiculous (today it was a panther bracelet). The employees are a mix of students, mostly design and merchandising students, from area colleges. Really impressed!! I called first, as I have a wedding to attend and I hate dresses...so I wanted to make sure they had some plain black options, and Andrea assured me there were several. Stopped by, and she and the other stylist were awesome! Her Mom stopped in, whom is the owner and showed me some cool necklaces from the front window. There was ZERO pressure to buy, I never felt hounded once - just felt that I was getting really good helpful fashion advice. I cannot wait to shop here again. Great place to shop in blm if u want something trendy and stylish without paying a million dollars. The owner also has a boutique in Chicago so she is always bringing ideas back n forth from both locations. Incredible design inside, very restoration hardware with a mix of downtown chic. Love stopping in there on my way up north. Great scarf inventory as well!! read more

Worst customer service,so rude, unfriendly! Walked in 3 young girls standing behind counter no one said a peep. Knew they were gaveling a sale NO MENTION OF IT! was in store at least 15 before one lady said to let her know if needed anything. Still no mention of sale. Been in there before same service. Last time they advertised a sale that was very misleading. This time anything that was decently cute wasn't worth even the discount cause everyone was obviously too busy to even say hi. No other customers in store... not sure how they plan to survive! Waste of my time won't bother again. Thanks for nothing. read more

I have been in Gigi several times and each time I have gone I have gotten great customer service and I always find something!!! People have said it is way over priced but I say its well worth it!! Everytime I wear something from gigi I always get compliments and they then inquire where they could go to buy it!! I like too that they only get a few sizes in everything they carry so you feel good when you get ready for a night out and feel confident that your not going to see anyone else wearing what you have on!!! If you havent gone in to visit this boutique I highly suggest it you wont leave dissapointed!!! But leave with bags on your arm!!! read more

They do have nice clothes but I had an negative experience and I won't be back because of it. I saw a shirt that I really liked and was ready to buy it, but there was a rip on a loophole that was attached to the sleeve. It was the only one left and I really wanted the shirt so I decided to get it anyway. However I don't think I should have had to pay full price for it, since it should be considered a damaged item. When I showed the cashier/employee she acted like it wasn't her business and she just shrugged and said "oh.. Okay". No offer of discount (even a buck would have been okay), no apology, no effort to check the back if there were extra shirts. I really did not like how she handled it and she just kind of stood there as though to say are you still going to buy it or not? I decided to buy it anyways at full price, because it was a lovely shirt. However, I did not like the reaction from the employee and I will not come back because of it. I'm a senior at Illinois State University and I just discovered this cute boutique the other day while I was downtown Bloomington. I usually don't venture downtown, but I think Gigi Bottega just gave me a reason to go more often. I always am buying my clothes online at school because there aren't a lot of options when you live in central Illinois... but Gigi is like a boutique I would find shopping downtown Chicago. When I told the sales girl this she told me that they actually do have a store in Chicago which didn't surprise me at all. The clothes were super stylish and looked pretty high end. I intern at an insurance company in town and bought a bunch of cute tops to wear to work. Shockingly my total wasn't bad at all either. I started following them on Facebook a few weeks ago and apparently they're always having deals for ISU and Wesleyan students. Which is nice to know when you're on a college budget! read more
