They always have lots of things to chose from and a lot of different styles too. They have clothes, accessories, books, antiques and lots more! Tons of great finds in new and like new condition. I've always found great buys there. Bought some brand new items for 1/3 the price. I've bought home decor for 1/4 the cost there that looks brand new. I absolutely love the finds. The customer service is friendly and informative. I find it very rude that the volunteer staff make snide comments about their above prices merchandise. Walmart (yellow clearance tags) say $2.50. Their price $5.99. Do a better overview of merchandise before you white tag. I asked if I'd receive Walmart's price or in house. Cashier response, "It's our price. Go to Dollar Tree or wherever" This is NOT the first time I've had issues with pricing at this resale OR dealing with rude staff. read more

I enjoy shopping here. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience today. The two older women at the counter were snobbish. I bought a coat and was not offered a bag. I had to ask for one. Secondly, I had been to the store several times and only once a very pleasant lady waited on me and was very nice. She even invited me to become part of the rewards program that I didn't know about prior. The lady in front of me who was white was asked if she had her card to be punched and she handed it to them. When I checked out no one asked me if I had an awards card. However, I presented it. The person that was not at the register accepted the card and punched it several times in the same spot. I am a person of color and unfortunately this treatment from the store I received today was a very poor reflections on Carle. Please train your staff to treat everyone equally. It's too obvious that they were being bias and rude. read more

I really enjoy shopping here. The selection is typically very nice. I haven't ever bought clothing there but my mother has. I usually go for decor and I have found some really neat pieces for my home. I love that fact that they have colored tag sales so possibly you'll get lucky and the item you're eyeing might be 25%,50%, etc off. They have punch cards too just don't lose it because they have no way of keeping track of your punches besides that card and they won't combine cards either. The staff are always very friendly toward me. I live an hour away from Bloomington but don't mind making the drive. read more

Clean, well-organized store with a higher-end quality of merchandise. Prices are a little higher that other thrift stores in town but the merchandise is chosen with an eye for brand names and excellent condition. Not much in the way of furniture and their book selection is small, but they offer a good variety in scarves, jewelry and women's clothing. They have a special display for designer clothing such as Ralph Lauren and Luz Claiborne. read more

I'd rate them higher, but I don't like that they are *consistently rude* if you go in after 4pm (they close at 5) and the lock the fitting rooms 20 minutes before closing time even though they say they lock them 10 til. If you want to be rude to people after 4pm, close at 4pm! On my last visit when they locked the fitting rooms earlier than posted I just handed them the huge arm load of clothing I had back to be put away rather than deal with them again. If they had just trusted me to manage my own time that would have turned into a big sale for their charity rather than a huge mess for them to put away. Pretty dumb. read more

Again, I find myself posting an unfavorable comment re the sales practices at the store. In the recent past the store has begun to reject debit card sales if they are not above $3.00. The last three times I shopped there, 2 potential purchases did not meet the $3.00 minimum, so I did not purchase anything. One of those purchases I asked for the sale price not be applied so as to meet the $3.00 minimum and didn't want to put the item back. Today, once again, while attempting to purchase one item, I met w/resistance due to the minimum charge to use my debit card and that the sale price forced the item below the $3.00 minimum. So I once again I was not able to purchase the item and left the store - again - with no sale. That brings me to the point - the policy to refuse debit card sales that don't meet a minimum (I am going to presume) that results in a fee to the vendor, leans a little towards hypocritical and usurious. After all, every item for sale has been donated by way of charity by individuals w/absolutely no cost to the store. To then determine only debit card sales that meet a minimum purchase is allowed to avoid a transaction cost for a credit-type purchase business is pure greed, and certainly not the fundamental reason for doing business - I don't think. Since debit card transactions are the primary method of all transactions occurring, further emphasizes the unreasonableness of this rule. This store has become so greedy that it not only uses charity and donations to make a profit, but underscores that by this policy. Very pathetic. read more

I just was there today, I was so impressed with the name brand items that was available for the prices that they were giving them yes giving them away for and they clothing be NEW WITH PRICE TAG STILL ATTACHED, and NEAR NEW in EXCELLENT WORN CONDITION. I nearly lost my mind. This is like shopping at Bergner's Thrift Shop that they have every 3rd Saturday of the month, but everyday. I will become a regular, there is so much to chose from, beside clothing for the whole family. The Houseware Department is off the Jeezy for sure. Don't take my word for it, go by and check it out for yourself. It will be worth your time. read more

This is by far the best thrift store in town!! You can find designer clothing that is still in style and priced right. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also a good place to donate your gently worn items or household things. Love it! read more

I work weekdays and have always looked forward to stopping in on Saturdays. Now, suddenly, is CLOSED on Saturdays?? You have just lost all the customers that can't get there during working hours.
