Friendly & helpful owners/staff. I loved that their young daughter was helping out by opening cases and running things up to the counter for us. The junk-to-quality ratio was decent - all antique malls end up with some level of drek - but many become overwhelmed with it and become something of a glorified thrift shop.... but this mall has managed to keep the level mostly appropriate. My only complaint is that none of the people working there was wearing a mask (during the height of COVID-19. I didn't lower their stars for this, but hopefully they'll see this and reconsider. I understand it's uncomfortable to wear them (especially when it's humid like it was today), but if you wouldn't SMOKE somewhere, you should be wearing a mask. Think of your outgoing breath as smoke and everyone around you as asthmatics - when you're outside, that smoke/breath gets quickly diluted by the abundant air around you and even if you're unknowingly infected, you're less likely to hurt the people around you. But inside, that smoke/breath is concentrated and is more likely to be inhaled by others in the building. Wearing a mask doesn't protect YOU so much as it does those around you (it does help protect you a bit more than NOT wearing one... but it's far more effective at preventing your potential infection from spreading to others) - and we were wearing masks to protect YOU in the off-chance we were asymptomatic carriers (which at least 1/3 of positive cases are). So... Please - wear a mask to show you care about how your actions may affect those around you. As someone with family members that are very susceptible to this disease, I implore you to consider this. read more
