This is well worth it for quality shoes when you're bound to spend $25 or so at a "discount" store on generic shoes. Plus, I'd say they had roughly 60 pairs of shoes to choose from for each males and females, and they have different width sizes for women (ie, bonus for fat feet = wide!). Also had some fancy and cute trouser socks, luggage, and miscellaneous accessories. The store is way out at the BN outlet mall in West Bloomington (where it is now pretty much the only store there), so it's frequently empty. Hopefully it will survive there...

Had they been nice when I did return the shoes, I wouldn't be submitting this review, but they weren't. There was no apology for the error or the inconvenience. Nothing, I honestly believe that if they didn't need my information for the return, they wouldn't have spoken to me at all. Inexcusable!!! I'll never shop there again.

Jessica needs to be commended for her outstanding customer service! I've been struggling for 5mos. trying to find a neutral running shoe that would avoid stress on an enlarged toe bone. Last week, I wanted to try on three types of shoes with the Hoka and Saucony brands. None were available and Jessica worked patiently with me to consider alternatives to what I had in mind. I have dedicated an enormous amount of time, frustratingly, trying out shoes with minimal results. I am ever so grateful that Jessica with her gentle persuasion, suggested the Brooks ConnectFlow4. Jessica's listening skills combined with her desire to satisfy the needs of her customers are rare qualities found in retail. My compliments and appreciation to an associate that obviously is proud of her company and the products it offers but more striking is the impression that she 'works for the customer'. In the last year since I moved to town I have been to Fleet Feet many times. This time was for my 11 year old son who wants to run a 5k. After we left he said to me "I wish they sold football cleats here". I asked him why. He said "because there was one person that helped me and just me the whole time. Not running around trying to find shoes for many people standing around waiting like at (insert name of a certain big box sporting goods store here). I really liked how they spent all that time with just me and helped me find what I wanted". That about sums it up. I always feel welcome and valued here. It is always a great experience and I always get exactly what I want. I wouldn't think of shopping anywhere else. read more

I liked how the employee was ready to help me with whatever I needed. She was ready to measure my feet and to put me in the best shoe for my feet and personal needs. I also appreciated that for each shoe that I asked her about from my shoe section, she was able to tell me if it completely fitted my needs and if it could really do what I was looking for in a shoe. Fleet Feet Sports has its act together. The staff is knowledgable and very helpful. I've been wearing the wrong sized shoes for the past 40 years, probably. It was great to have Julie, a former colleague, take so much time with me to make sure that I was getting the exact pair of shoes that would be best for me. As I went for my wallet he abruptly asked to inspect the bike, again fine but he seemed annoyed. He saw a dent and handed the bike back explaining he can't be liable. I said nothing stood head down thinking about purchasing parts or not. Then the lady owner, who I didn't know was an owner then, approached said, "do you need help" his reply "can you tell this gentleman to leave, I can't work on his bike". I have no idea why he said this. No clue why he was so rude and short through the whole exchange. I understood his reasoning and said nothing against him or his decision. The lady owner responded to this post a year ago saying they told me multiple times they couldn't work on my bike. A complete lie, and I don't understand why they would act like that and then lie. My best guess is I was wearing my work clothes and they must treat poor people extremely disrespectfully. Don't go to a place that would treat anyone like this. This is 100% accurate description. And I'm not struggling with it. I'm just informing the public, if you just want a repair you will be treated horribly I never questioned safety. I understood the comment, but tossing me out while quietly considering my options deserves an apology, not lies from you. After an apology, I'll consider not posting this anymore. For anyone who has gotten this far. Check out the other bad reviews here. The "lady owner" doesn't understand how to treat a bad review. Considering she completely lied about my experiences, I now feel sorry after reading a Number of other disgruntled customers experiences. They are an entertaining read; to see a pretentious, lying business owner at work. "Now please move on" ..... I mean come on, how old are you.... This is pettyness and lies.
