My MIL and husband and I went into Fleet Feet Bloomington today to purchase gym shoes- we are going to attempt to begin running. We were happily greeted by Dave. My husband was helped by Dave, I was helped by Karin, and my MIL was helped by Julie. To our surprise they measured our feet in numerous manners, examined our feet as we walked, and picked out shoes that they believe would suit our specified feet and walk. Boy do they know their stuff!!! For me, Karin had me try on different shoes and genuinely cared about how my feet felt in them. She even had me walk outside! (which I thought was odd, but makes sense because it is a different surface than inside the store). She explained why the certain brand of shoe and style of shoe makes the most sense for my feet (darn wide feet) and continuously asked how my feet felt in them. She even took a care in what I do for a living (I'm a teacher) and made sure that the style of shoe would fit my lifestyle. The store overall was in immaculate condition and incredibly clean. Every person in the store was exceptionally nice and cared about me and my feet. Shoes were not as expensive as I imagined... my pair of gym shoes was a little over $100. For me and my family, no more purchasing gym shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods or Kohls. We will forever and always continue to go to Fleet Feet!!
