Very nice staff. Just remember that they have to sell their stuff below retail so just because your item is selling for a lot on eBay, they won't pay as much because they have to beat certain prices and they can't hold onto stuff forever. They also were helpful about jewelry markings to tell if a piece is real or plated. Recommend.

Store has a lot of good merchandise and it wasn't messy nor stinky like some thrift stores. I thought it was dark inside. Did they even have lights on? I thought prices were fair. Saw a brand new beaded clutch from Francesca's. It was $7.99? Also, almost new block heeled dress sandals for $7.99. The sizing must have been off (which is why they'd been donated). I could barely fit my foot into the 8 1/2s. Pricing for kitchen dishes was by the number of pieces you purchased, although you could buy one piece. I got four Pflatzgraff bowls very similar to my pattern; all four were less than $5.00.

The…read moreracks of tops can be difficult to shop because they are often too full to move hangers around for browsing and the dress selection doesn't seem to turn over much at all. I feel like I see the same dresses every time I'm in the shop. Decent selection of non-resale accessories, but (and I'll admit this was several visits ago so I don't know if it's still happening), I've spotted fake designer handbags here. So, if that's what you're looking for, buyer beware. And Karen, it's not legal to sell fake bags. Consigning here is pretty easy and I've had decent success in my items selling. However, if something doesn't sell and you fail to pick it up they will donate it. And they won't give you a reminder call that your consignment is up, so it's on you as the seller to be organized enough to remember that date. I lost a high end piece by not paying attention to my calendar. My fault, I know. But worth pointing out. But I have to say, beyond the clothes or selling process here, the thing that always strikes me the most when I go to Karen's is how grumpy and unfriendly their staff is. It's pretty ridiculous. It's retail. Would it kill these girls to smile and say hello? Apparently it might.
