Windy Pass told me they'd repair it for $65, which was about a third the price of the pack. I took it to Warrick, who cheerfully sewed it for a fraction of the price. No shipping either. OK, but not thrilled since it looks bad. I do't wear these boots too often since I have several pairs. i just noticed they also scraped the leather with the stitcher on the same boot. The leather is actually a little thinner now in this spot. The scrape runs parallel to the welt in an area where normal wear would not cause the scrape. In addition, the scrape shows up in a picture I took immediately after the resole. It appears they covered up the scrape with brown polish or another shoe product. They did not mention any of the issues when the boots were picked up by a family member that lives near Peoria. Do not recommend, and I will not use them again.

A shop out of Springfield IL was recommended to us. That company turned our burgundy sofas purple! (Barney the dinosaur purple - and I'm not exaggerating.) That company would not make it right! They wanted MORE money to complete the job they were hired to do in the first place. OUR EXPERIENCE We turned to SHOE BIZ, and wow what a difference! Shoe Biz was nice, professional, friendly, thorough, did VERY HIGH QUALITY work and was willing to stand behind their work!! As a driver for UPS I put my footwear through utter hell and my red wings are more than up to challenge. One pair has been in service for 3 years (I did have to have the soles replaced once). Another pair has been with me for 4 years and has only needed its lace loops replaced- which red wing did for free. Tonight I strolled in to nab two pairs of laces for my driving boots. I walked in, they checked the height of the boot handed me the replacements and said see ha later bud! See? Service. I paid nothing for those laces.
