I purchase a pair of the Iron ranger Heritage series boots less than 9 months ago and the soles have denigrated to smooth in some spots. Most of this time is winter. I figured I buy one last pair of boots and go big on a good pair, oh yeah I'm 62 years old. I just hung up with this store and was told that the soles are not under warranty and they can replace the sole for $125.00 New boots that are failing. I had to buy a new pair of work boots (obviously) and stopped by here ready with company approved options. I was quickly greeted by a stores associate who showed me the limited women's boot options (I'm used to women's boots being low on selection - so no surprise there). The sales associate gave a run down of both boots including pros of both. He was super helpful and just easy to talk to. I appreciated his attention while I tried on both shoes. I ended up with the best seller (boa style) and so happy with my purchase! Store seems recently renovated and is very clean. Parking and and access is easy from Wadsworth. read more

Really disappointed in this store. I was looking for a specific boot and a couple of different red wings stores told me this store showed it in stock at this store online. I called down there 4 times in one day and NO ONE would answer the phone. I even left a message, hoping they would call me back. So Yesterday 10 Jan 2024 around 4pm, I drove 30 miles, one way to the store. Turns out they didn't have the boot in stock. While the guy was checking the inventory, I pulled out my cell phone and hit the redial button. I was calling the store to see his response. The guy looked at the phone, then ignored it. I asked the guy working "You guys don't answer the phone?" He said, "Not when I'm working alone." I was so mad at this employee. A simple 3 minute phone call could of saved me an hour of my life and 60 miles driving. Keep in mind, I had a work voucher for $300 to spend on new work boots. I thought, I'm not even going to give them a chance to sell me a pair of boots after wasting my time. I drove back up to Longmont and bought a pair of boots and insoles there. Bought my boots from here. Great boots, customer service wasn't good at all. I had them apply the toe protector and it turned out terrible. I think they need to get someone more caring and precise to do it. read more

I have been a long time Red Wing supporter for years - until now. My last pair of $200+ boots were barely worn & basically fell apart. The company refused to fix them and simply did not stand behind their product. I have had less expensive boots & shoes that have lasted far longer with far more usage. Red Wing should be ashamed. GREAT staff! Always very helpful and work with you when trying to find the perfect shoe. We had bought the shoes 3 months prior here and he had been living in them so they had gotten a good beating. Had to replace the inners on the boots, of course with him not there and me just with his shoes, and they were great at working with me to try to figure that out. My only complaint is that the hours of the store should be listed on their voicemail. read more

I have been in this store twice. Both times the sales staff is very unwelcoming. 3 guys behind the register in an empty store on their phones. The store has a full stock so I am able to fund what I went in for but they can loose the attitude. Rather order on line. The store attendants are very unwelcoming. They won't fix your boots. I bought the athletic BOA Shoe and boot about five months ago both are completely useless and they won't fix them. The bottoms of the boots were out really quickly as well as the sides. Don't waste your money because of their warranty/guarantee you're better off just buying a cheaper boot and replacing it in the future. read more

My boyfriend recently purchased a pair of work boots from this location and was poorly sized by the sales associate [Jacob] and ended up with a poorly fitted shoe that they would not return or exchange because he had spent too much money on the boots. The training of the employees is more critical than the quality of the product when it comes to selling anything high end as the quality of service is a large part in the pricing of a product like this. The end goal is always to have a customer leave the store with a product that will last for years to come. Red Wing shoes has lost a life time customer for this deplorable service. When someone goes out of their way to purchase a top of the line product you would expect to receive top of the line service. This failure to meet service standards is a clear reflection of the quality Red Wings Shoe company has. We will be looking at Wolverine and Thorogood for his replacement pair as they carry a better reputation. read more

I went in to this Red Wing store a couple of weeks ago to buy a pair of boots. When I walked in, the two sales associates appeared very annoyed that I had interrupted their conversation. I proceeded to ask them a couple of questions about which boots would be a good fit for me and they treated me as if I were ignorant because I didn't go in knowing exactly which pair I wanted. I proceeded to try on three different styles of boots and my sales associate appeared very irritated that I wanted to try on more than one style. This has been the third pair of Red Wings I have purchased and was by far the worst customer service I have experienced. I love Red Wing boots but I would not recommend going to this store. read more

I needed a new pair of work boots today and went into this store on Wadsworth.. Good choice. The store is very well managed and they have a great selection. The staff was very helpful, they took the time to be sure I was fit properly and listened to what I wanted as well as what I had to have. I would say I spent a good 40 minutes with them measuring both my feet talking about my needs and their suggestions then trying on a couple of pair to nail down the right fit/size. My work is very demanding on my feet and my footwear. If it's not all fitted correctly I will pay in pain and discomfort. I have been wearing Wolverine DuraShocks for the past 3 pair but due to what I see as less than satisfactory product quality I decided a change was needed. I left very happy with my purchase and feel like they are first concerned that I leave the store with a boot that will do the job I need. The person helping me was obviously knowledgeable on the product and took all the time I needed to ensure I was fit properly and pleased with my selection. I love this store! They were so out of their way helpful to me the first time that I bought boots there, I went back to give them another couple hundred bones this time too. Seriously though, the staff here goes out of their way to make sure that you've got exactly the right boot that you need, each time, every time. My family bought me a pair of boots for Christmas, and they just weren't right. I went in, and she pulled out several boots and paitently waited on me to try them all, pace around, and stomp in the soles while she had other customers lined up. They all knew that they'd expect the same kind of dedicated service, so they didn't mind. Once outfitted with what I thought was the perfect boot, I went off into the world for several INTENSE days of field work. The boots just weren't exactly how I needed them to be. With wear, tear, grime, and survey paint, they took them back with a smile and stood strong next to Red Wings 30 comfort fit guarantee. You don't even need the receipt because you're in the system from the purchase, so they're very easy to deal with that process. We did an insole computer analyzed pressure test and custom formed foot cushions right there in the store to make sure that I had exactly what I needed. If you need boots, they stand by their products like nobody I've ever seen, and the next time anybody I know needs a pair, they'll be the first place I suggest or head back to myself. read more

Really bad service. Upon arrival the guy saw me walk in and didn't even ask if I need help then about 5-7 minutes asked me if I needed help.. After figuring out the shoes I wanted couldn't even get the shoes because they had to confirm our employer account which he had looked up and saw on his computer. So I said ok just let me know when you guys confirm it with my employer give me a call and I will pick it up tomorrow. Which would be a Monday. It is now Wednesday and I had to call them back and the guy that answered the phone had said our manager had to still call to confirm my company account. So that tells me they are not interested in my business and will go some place else for some service. read more

I'm outfitting for my first elk hunting trip and a really good pair of boots were tops on my list. I'd looked at a number of models and different brands on the web but when I actually asked other hunters about their boot of choice they said, to a man (because they were all men), Irish Setters were the way to go. Luckily there's a Red Wing store just down the road so I popped in this morning to check it out. The moment I walked in I was greeted kindly, got my feet measured and had my foot's pressure points analyzed. With that info in hand my salesman took me right to the clearance section and got me fitted up with last year's black bear model ($100 off their $250 price tag) and I loved them. I insisted on looking at a couple of this years models cause I kind if had my heart set on some camo but the black bears were it all the way. Now this guy could have pushed the $250-$300 boots and I probably would've bit but he didn't. His primary concern was getting me into the best boot for me. We were so impressed that my wife actually bought a pair of lady's worx for herself. I have to say, I will for sure be back. Unfortunately, because Red Wings are so well made, it probably won't be for a few years. So, until that time comes, I will be telling anyone who will listen to give this shop your business.
